Yup. Nothing else at all, just a 2060.
Have fun.

nah u need sli 2080 ti supers

It depends on what you're planning on playing and at what resolution. Also unless you can find a 2060 really cheap, you have no reason not to get 2060 Super which is basically a 2070 at 2060 price.

I got a 2060, for 1080p it's pretty solid. I can't say for 1440p or 4K though.

I got a 2080ti and now I can play two PS3 games on it.

2060 is a meme
wait for new cards
consider AMD

It's like we're back in the late 2000s/early 2010s again

its 400

What games justify buying a 2060 over a 1060?

get amd or 1660

like anything remotely modern? 1060 is weak as fuck by modern standards

2060 is in a weird spot. You're better off getting more performance out of an RX 5700, or saving some cash and getting a 1660Ti instead.

>1660
yikes

5700 is better and cheaper. But it's AMD soooo

Navi > RTX
Nvidia missed hard with this gay shit

Id at least upgrade to a 1070, 1660, but the 2060 is just an overall terrible deal:

>1st gen technology
>premium price
>gimped RTX

Literally no reason to get this.

i wish i could suck on those big juggs fuckkkkkkkkkkkk i need a gf so fucking bad fucking hell god damn

WHOSE BITCH THIS IS

newfag

>buy brand new 2060 for 300 bucks
>comes with 120$ keyboard for free
>run everything absolutely maxed at 60 fps+
it’s the new gtx 970 OP, don’t fall for retards claiming its a meme card

>RDNA literally next gen and is going to be supported and used on consoles for the next decade
RX 570 was about 35% slower than GTX 1060 when it was released and now it can match and even beat the 1060 in some games with the latest drivers. Looks like it's going to be another run of the 4000 series Radeon cards where they improve over time.

OP the RX 5700 XT is better than the 2060 for near the price.

But the 970 was a huge meme

Get a 5700XT, preferably a non-reference version.

SIT THE FUCK DOWN
dq him!

Brittany Venti you fucking zoomer

>nvidia has to bribe you with shitty chink keyboards to get you to buy their junk

i wonder who this could be

exactly. Just buy the 1060, literally nothing else. Anything more and you're a faggot.

That's a shit card now though. Very slow.

>6GB

2070S minimum.
Everything else is for 1080p philistines.

Let me guess, you fell for the 1440/144 meme

don't fall for the 1060 meme. Every single day I wish I didn't.

show me a single game that uses more than 5GB of vram at 1080p

>2019
>still on a tiny 1080p display
user I'm so sorry

total war warhammer 2

How's playing on medium settings on your $700 GPU working out?

I have a 2080Ti, runs fine on max.

You have a GPU that costs about as much as a used car, congratulations I guess.

i said game

mordhau

mordhau doesn't use 5GB of vram you retard

yep easy 1440p for next 5 years. No RTX tho

same. i just need a goddamn morcel of coochie to make myself mentally stable again. im so fucking thirsty.

I have 8GB and it uses more than 6GB. Doesn't mean it necessarily needs it, but it must do something.

rtx is almost a physx tier meme

>he bought a 3gb
basically a 1050ti. You deserve the pain

I don't want rtx. I want coochie. I need fucking coochie.

>real time ray tracing is a meme
kek

>wait for new cards

Attached: 1543375531-ThinkstockPhotos-533341348.jpg (600x450, 19K)

I'm not going to name names, because the dude already proved himself to be moving the goal post, but there are a couple games with High Resolution texture packs that easily need 8gigs.

you do realize 1060 is 6gb

>rtx is almost a physx tier meme

All next gen game will have RTX

Attached: 1566015697827.gif (291x300, 2.92M)

>a couple games
wow time to spend all my money on a video card with 15gb of ram just for 2 games i will never play!

No lol

Shoutouts to the user last thread that helped me find out that my CPU fan was not properly installed. I gave myself a headache trying to remember which SATA cables went in which SATA port, so fuck you too

Attached: image2.jpg (2448x2448, 1.73M)

i'll be the last one laughing when nvidia starts releasing dedicated RTX cards

I bought the 6GB. Mate, it was a bad deal. You can never play new games without turning heaps of shit down and even then you barely can hold 60 fps without it dipping to the 50s and sometimes 40-30s if insane shit is going on.

maybe try ADM card in the same price range, but 2060 is pretty solid, you don't need a super beast to enjoy games

>The 6GB of RAM is a non-issue and stems from users who do not understand the difference between ALLOCATED memory and UTILIZED memory. Steve from both Tech Spot and Hardware Unboxed has repeatedly done tests on this. He's shown that the 3GB/6GB models of the 1060 only show meaningful differences in unrealistic scenarios or when using 8GB of system RAM, as shown youtube.com/watch?v=VRtCCMsbcnM. He again did this, more recently, with the RTX 2060 explaining how and why 6GB of VRAM was enough, as shown youtube.com/watch?v=pfnzHA3-MhM. But just as we have flat-earthers and anti-vaxxers, there will always be a contingent of people who deny science, testing, and evidence in favor of whatever their belief is.

Another episode of zoomers talking about shit they don't understand.

This. I'm fucking torn because I want to upgrade from my 1060 and i5 6500 but i'm worried the new cards will come out as soon as I buy a rtx card and i'm basically behind again. And even then people are mentioning rizin 3 and 4 and intel's new cpus and god damn its like go to early and you're fucked, wait too long and you'll be burnt out and bored to tears because you can't play the new releases

I have a 1660ti. I'd say the value was worth it.

Attached: raffina.jpg (1000x1000, 815K)

Get a 2070 super not a 2060.

I have no idea what is wrong with yours but mine might be faster or something.

based

k if that's what you want
you wanted to be proven wrong and you got served and then tried to walk it back
be under no illusion
I don't give a single fuck what you do.
Have fun
or have no fun
i dont care

Do i get a RTX 2070-Super or an RX 5700XT plus 100 dollars to put into something else in a computer?

Just get a 580 jesus christ not hard.

for your I5 go Ryzen 3000 they are overkill, i will when i finished to move to my next flat.
For CG 3000 series will be for 2021 i think, end 2020 for the earliest, but i dont think so they're are so dominant market wise, i think Nvidia will sqeeze them to the max.

i accept your concession

These are shill/cope videos that help people justify going low budget/getting ripped off lol.

I don't get it. If that's all you want, pay someone for it. It's not hard. I did it earlier this year because being a virign at 26 made me question my masculinity.

To be fair, when I did I couldn't get an erection for shit but it was worth trying. Made me realize I don't actually want sex, I want an emotionally supportive relationship.

yep its the poor man upgrade. Wont survive the next 2-3 years.

did you take your medicine today?

It's like a 3 year old mid-range card, yeah of course it's not going to run new shit.

>releasing dedicated RTX cards

never their GPU are structured for it.

>intel's new cpus

Attached: 1550527425069.gif (288x377, 1.83M)

how do you know that

because it's already weak

>PC master race supposedly
>Buys 500 dollar card (plus another 1000 for other PC parts)
>Still games in 1080p
>PC master race supposedly

1080p for 60~144fps. it can do 4k at 30~40 fps

compared to?

video games

that is bullshit blazing

Attached: 2d2qjagqckn31.jpg (430x700, 38K)

i have g3220 and r7 260x
what cpu should i buy to run modern games
i dont need anything fancy, just something that will work for next year

btw by run i mean low 30fps is enough

>muh 4k at 20 FPS
console peasants are embarrassing. The 2060s is about a $350 card and it'll run 4k at 60 FPS on maxed settings for most games

>Anything but 2080 Ti in 2019
Enjoy your 20 fps

Buy a vega 56: costs way less and can even outperform a 2060 easily with some undervolt, overclock and even bios modding.

Attached: ahlcdhaiqna21.jpg (808x937, 59K)

lmao no

Do you think the next cards will be able to handle 4k at 120-140 fps? or will they be only like a 10% increase from the 2080 ti?

no what? that your shitty console barely gets over 25 FPS on a good day, or that the 2060s can run 4k? Because both of those statements are true.

How can you enjoy playing games at 30 fps on PC? You might as well just buy a ps4/xbox one for like $250 and then you'll have no problems

I've never liked this website, although its ability to pick out CPU/GPU/Game performance combinations is rather nice.

Attached: Capture.png (1430x978, 225K)

>4k 60fps maxed out for most games
sure if most games are from 2012

7nm fabrication process on the next gen cards which means way better performance, lower heat/power consumption and hopefully better pricing.

I played on consoles for years so I'm ok with 30fps and I don't really care about graphics. Consoles are too expensive if you include games. On PC I can just pirate everything.

>waiting for skylake again
We'll probably be dead before Intel stops selling skylake chips

Dedicated ray tracing at decent levels is going to require either a fucktonne more optimization or brute forced by throwing more silicon at it, but die space isn't free and big chip meme is dead, unless you want your 3080ti to cost $1999 at launch and we get another fermi supply issue. Making dedicated add on cards that support nothing but ray tracing makes more sense, and might actually give PCIe 4.0 some actual use for gamers.

5700 XT

Why do that when you can get the RX 5700 XT for less than that or a used GTX 1080 Ti for 450$.

I judge a GPU's performance by memory bandwidth, floating point operations per second, and the number of transistors. The die size and process node must also be taken into account with the number of transistors.

Well, I judge a GPU by if it can hit 60FPS/1440p at ultra in games I'm interested in, seeing as that's the screen I have. Acoustics and thermal performance is also important.

>Well, I judge a GPU by if it can hit 60FPS/1440p at ultra in games I'm interested in
Entirely dependenant on the level and what's taking place, as most modern AAA titles have been infamous for relegating manual optimization to the art gallery. I fall back on this as a secondary benchmark if anything. Synthetic benchmarks I don't even think about. I'm more concerned about viewport performance and render times if anything.

Also, die size is generally tied to how easy it is to cool the GPU in most cases.

how many "years" does the 5700 XT have left in it? I dont wanna buy it then turn around and have to upgrade again in 2 years like how I did my Ryzen 2600

Depends entirely on what resolution you're playing at and what games you're playing. And how retarded developers may or may not get with system requirements in the future, which is not easy to predict.

go cheaper, youll regret that purchase when the new consoles come out and make their GPU power the standard and yours cant even compete against it.
So spend less now so it wont be as painful later.

the strongest gpu will struggle on console games a few years after release
you can put that money into a console instead and have good performance the whole gen. especially with next gen being as strong as rtx 2080, and those will suffer from unoptimization becoming worthless by 2021

How do I know any of you are actually real and not just floating brains in a vat or highly trained AI?

>Waiting since 2000
>19 years later still with an ATI Card

JUST KEEP WAITING BRO
WAIT AND WAIT AND WAIT
ARE YOU 40 YO NOW? JUST FUCKING WAIT BRO TRUST Yea Forums WAIT A FEW MORE YEARS!!!!.

>updating nvidia drivers

I'm below de 400 version and it works great for new games.

Attached: 1552554838521.jpg (501x281, 45K)

I have a 2060 and for a 24 inch screen at 1080p and it is perfect

>2019
>Sli

Just use 1060

>feeding the newfag
