Only reason I did was because I bought the Tetris 99 physical which came with a code for the year. Had a family one the first year but I never use the other accounts anyway.

Probably wouldn't have renewed otherwise since I'd prefer to just play the thing in Marathon anyway and only a couple games I have even use online in any way (with MM2 being the only significant one but most levels are either bad, stupid simple, or cancer don't touch the ground 8+ hour levels so I have more fun just spending 50 hours making and playing my own standard but flashily speedrun-able levels).

As for their shitty emus, I'd also rather just own the games. Fuck their anti-consumer rental service with shoehorned in online nonsense (that most games can't even use meaning a second player just gets to watch you play) instead of VC bringing with it our 3DS/Wii U purchases.

Theres also passwords if you wanna just collect everything else and cheat for the last three heart upgrades.

If Online improved in quality at all since it was free then yeah, sure, but it's still fucking garbage and now you have to pay for it. Tetris Royale might be fun, but it's fucking Tetris. You can play that shit on damn anything these days, you can get all the NES and SNES offerings for free plus basically whatever else you might want with emulation, too.

Especially being in an area their next day thing doesn't apply and the fact that they don't even guarantee shipping your shit on release day even if they did. One of the games last month shipped out like 4 fucking days after release when I should've had it the day before at the latest because until the first 24 hour window passed I'd had 15 dollars of shipping on the fucking thing (which it just so happened I removed like 5 minutes before they locked it down to ship out 3 and a half frigging days later). They don't deserve the money for the most part.

Yeah, Mario maker has a $70 version that includes a year of online so I got that.
I got the Switch expressly to play Spla2n so I don't have much other choice if I want to keep playing it.

Currenly have a free 3-months, but for me it's mostly only worth it for Crystal Chronicles Remastered and a small chance to play against Vinny in Smash.

I've got a family thing going with seven other randos, I'd prefer to just keep as much money out of Nintendo's pocket as possible for this practice.

I pay for 7 of my friends even if we don't use it too much, it doesn't kill me once a year.
