Tripping is a good mechanic lol
It was the best Smash game with the most hype behind it. Every game since has felt shallow.
Brawl was kino

Brawl's hype was amazing
Brawl is still my favourite Super Smash Bros. game.
A game only disliked by Reddit.
This game is only remembered because of the Subspace Emissary cutscenes. Tripping, infinite combos, and Meta Knight being grossly overpowered was terrible
everyone shits on 4 now but i still think brawl is the weakest.
It was very epic at the time but the art style was very ugly and I never cared much for Subspace past the cutscenes. The coolest thing about it was just how big in scope it felt and the soundtrack was amazing.
Brawl has flaws sure but its single player content and OST is kino youtube.com

Awesome music
Best battlefield
Great visuals
Worst gameplay
Best music, best singleplayer content, SOUL out the ass, actual shitty gameplay overall but that's fine because I still like it. Only stinkies and Reddit hates this game.
Best Smash game with the greatest newcomers.
Project M fags can fuck off.
Subspace Emissary was probably the most kino shit ever in vidya.
Amazing soundtrack and newcomers but ugly as sin and terrible to play (especially online what the fuck were they thinking), I unironically thank it for disappointing me and my friends so hard that I dropped smash for SF4 and proper fighting games in general.
It'd be the perfect smash with melee physics and race to the finish.
Brawl > 4
It was fun
