Crapcom

but minish cap had great art direction, and wouldn't gain much of anything from a remake, other than maybe some neat visual effects when changing sizes

"whish"?

I hope they don't use the funko pop style on the minish cap.

Every zelda game has backtracking fucktard.

I played Minish Cap emulated a few years ago and it still looks/plays fine, doesn't need a remaster.

I would want a remaster strictly so they could change the shard system.

this game owns

Link to the Past needs a remake. The systems, menus, and maps are outdated

In what universe does this game have any significant amount of backtracking? There's a new path for every major overworld area, plenty of warp points and the dungeons are extremely compact.

>paying $60 for a GBC game
Am I missing something? Whenever I bring this up to people irl I get pic related.

So about same price as the gameboy game with inflation. Seems about right.

no it doesn't, fuck off

We literally just got one for the 3DS and retards want nintendo to waste my time with a 3rd remake. Stop

You do realize Manbo's Mambo lets you warp to any of the activated warp points now and not just his pond right.

>backtracking
>in one of the most linear zelda games

Being this retarded.
Do you also write shill articles on why we need to pay developers $120 for a game and need microtransactions to?

That's a sequel, not a remake

Minish Cap has by far the most backtracking since you have to check every NPC whenever you get a bunch of new kinstones - some of whom are very out of the way

''does'' it stop the game and you you can't move a bowlder everytime you accidentally touch one?

No. You only get that message if you try to pick one up with the A button.

There are hacks that improve the menus. You have no excuse.

We just got a slightly remixed remake of ALTTP and it was excellent. We need them to work it out with Capcom and remake those ones.

might as well have been a remake

Good bait.

where?

it's a bit overpriced for the few hours of content you get, but I got it to see the various changes made to the game

Is this worth $60?
I played DX on gbc when I was a kid and again on VC. Great game but on the fence of dropping that much for it. I don’t mind holding out for a sale though

Yeah its great dont listen to the memes

Absolutely not
There's no new content apart from the shitty dungeon maker that is boring as hell.

The entire game plays the exact same way. It's a 1:1 remake. You're basically just paying for shittier/better graphics.
I pirated it and it still wasn't worth it.

A Minish Cap remake would be good. But don't do it in Link's Awakening artstyle and price it better ($20-30) and add some new content to it.

Attached: linkle_inquisitive.webm (480x700, 3M)

Minish Cap is also backtracking: the game, though.

what hacks?

>Backtracking: the Game
This isn't Oracle of Ages or Skyward Sword.

It’s as good as the original and most fans will love it. Younger people who never got a chance to play the original will more than likely love it as well. All these threads feel like contrarian shitposting

>hates backtracking
>wants a remake of a game with even more backtracking
If you know what you're doing in LA, you never need to backtrack.

this image was made for people like you

Attached: funky.jpg (845x828, 50K)

There are loads of warp points and you can get to most of the map within a few minutes. It's literally the most accessible Zelda game.

Are you fucking serious? The Oracles and Minish Cap have the worst backtracking in the series, LA actually makes it tolerable because the overworld is smaller and more condensed.

Crapcom can't make good Zelda games.

Attached: 1569195128901.jpg (641x480, 27K)

If you haven't played Awakening recently. It's been 10 years for me so that's why I got it. Feels fresh again as I don't remember much.

never played the original is it casual to just jump into the remake

they should remake zelda 2 and focus on decent melee mechanics like blocking and parrying
basically the first zelda tech demo where link fought metal-link but in 2D

I need sauce on that webm

more like minish CRAP

>miyamoto wanted to remake alttp on 3ds but aonouma pushed for a sequel so they could add new stuff
for the longest time i thought aonouma was legitemately retarded but hes based just for not including any gamepad shit in botw

>Link to the Past needs a remake.
No it doesn't. Zelda 2 is the only Zelda game that needs a remake. And it still shouldn't get one because they'd change it from a 2D Action/Platformer to an isometric LTTP clone.

Minish Cap is made by legendary status Capcom. Modern nintendo doesn't deserve that.

Minish Cap doesn't need remake it holds up just fine.
It should have been bundled with the Oracle Games. That would have been way easier to justify the full price tag.
I think its better if we all forget that red headed step child Zelda 2 ever existed.

No they should sell Zelda to Sony or Microsoft so it stops being the same shit everytime.

Why Zelda 2 it has no redeeming features. Bland bad dungeons and terrible pacing and world.

>I think its better if we all forget that red headed step child Zelda 2 ever existed.
No. It's still one of the best Zelda games. Way better than any Ammonia game.

>why should we remake a game that needs improvements in world design, dungeons and gameplay?
It's like you idiots don't even know what a remake is. You only want remakes of already polished, good games when it's the unpolished, unfinished games that need the remake.

Attached: roll_dogs.gif (500x336, 616K)

I don't think Nintendo has ever deviated from source in a remake.

Minish Cap is the most overrated game in the Zelda series and gets carried by its charm.
>4 short shitty dungeons
>in a 2D zelda
>2 of the bosses are copy/paste
>kinstone is an awful mechanic
>four swords stuff is shoehorned in
>shrinking mechanic rarely used creatively, it's just "get small for this dungeon/overworld section"

Minish Cap is probably the worst of the 2D Zeldas and it's only positive feature, the art style, would get stripped away.

A remake would ruin Minish Cap. Please no

Attached: 392bda137360c5fc7cd60c484daf5de8.gif (500x333, 437K)

I wish they made Link's Awakening but with non shit graphics.

There's actually 6 dungeons in Minish Cap. Also, Kinstones and shrinking were awesome.

>Minish Cap is probably the worst of the 2D Zeldas
But that's Zelda II

>Minish Cap is the most overrated game in the Zelda series
Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess say hi.

"It's good because it's dark and has ATMOSPHERE!"

git gud.

The difficulty isn't the problem in Zelda II.

Not even the same guy, but gameboy games were $50 on release in the 90s. I realize it's not the best argument, but hes not wrong

So many improvements from the original.
but don't expect a deep epic of a game. It's a fun little weekend romp.

What price should I aim to buy this game at? 30?

40 is more realistic as long as you're fine with waiting.

Since some people mentioned menu hacks, are there any good Zelda hacks out there, other than randomizers?

God fucking damnit you hit the nail on the head. I was unable to put my finger on WHY exactly I hated this art style. This is it. Those stupid ass funko pops homogenize completely different series and art styles into a bland paste. There is no reason you should be portraying wildly different shit like Zelda, One Piece, Bojack and Star Wars with the same soulless bobblehead stare.

>waiting
>nintendo
>price drop

huh???

well as far as quality of life stuff goes there's ocarina of time with instant text boxes, removable cutscenes, and d-pad boots.

This. Minish Cap looks fantastic

Attached: MINISH CAP AMAZING GRAPHICS.png (1920x1080, 609K)

Not everyone has played it before. The Switch remake was my first time playing it and I had to do some backtracking in certain dungeons. It does still feel quite dated in the way that it plays and not quite my cup of tea for a game in 2019.

More like Minish Crap

>anything below the DS games

Attached: lol11.jpg (299x301, 33K)

why? metroid 2 has you fight the same boss 40 fucking times and the collective consciousness shat out several remakes at once

>metroid 2 has you fight the same boss 40 fucking times
There's five different versions of Metroid. Six if you count the hatchlings.

kinstones were ass, every possible secret/explorable is walled off until you touch dicks and then it shows you the exact pixel you can find the one thing you unlocked

Where can you find Marin at the end of the game, i need her song for the ocarina.

I think she’s at the beach.

my point is why does anybody give a fuck about metroid 2 because the GB game is absolutely shit
I don't think the BW color palette, the poststamp sized screen and 5 bosses spread over 40 encounters in a circular hallway tubes did it any favors
I ended up playing AM2R and Samus Returns anyway and was baffled that they didn't choose Super Metroid to remake

>my point is why does anybody give a fuck about metroid 2 because the GB game is absolutely shit
Because it's not shit. To this day, it's still my favorite Metroid game. It's the only one to actually focus on Metroids, has the most isolation and is the best to speed run.

>I don't think the BW color palette, the poststamp sized screen and 5 bosses spread over 40 encounters in a circular hallway tubes did it any favors
Yeah, we get it. You're a child who can't handle older games.

>I ended up playing AM2R and Samus Returns anyway and was baffled that they didn't choose Super Metroid to remake
And an idiot, since Super Metroid doesn't need a remake. Neither did Metroid II. But why do idiots like you only want remakes of games you already like? The whole point of a remake is to remake a game that had missing content or flaws. Which is why Link's Awakening didn't need a fucking remake. But companies listen to idiots like you.

>Whish they would've remade minish cap instead
Minish Cap is literally the worst top down Zelda with the exception of the DS games. I'm so tired of anons that grew up with GBA as their first system pretending MC is a masterpiece.

Attached: This Guyzoch Serious.jpg (476x456, 22K)

>>backtracking - the game.
>Whish they would've remade minish cap instead
Like Minish Cap didnt have backtracking.

In the original GB game, she's at the animal village. No idea about the remake.

Minish Cap is infinitely better than Zelda 1 though.

>>Minish Cap is the most overrated game in the Zelda series
>Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess say hi.
Majora´s Mask is praised because it was a departure of style and it was well implemented into story and gameplay. Twilight princess in the other hand is a boring corridor zelda, mechanics are ass but is not as bad as Skyward Sword. Both are the worst 3D zelda games.

Attached: Zelda - Majora Mask.jpg (766x992, 412K)

I don't agree. But they're so different, it's not even worth comparing them. It's like trying to compare Mario 1 to New Super Mario Bros.

Attached: 1477529069234.png (472x447, 198K)

>Minish Cap is infinitely better than Zelda 1 though.
kek, no. Minish Cap is zelda for babies.

god what is that horrid filter you have on?

>Majora´s Mask is praised because it was a departure of style
And it's hated by just as many people for that very reason.

>and it was well implemented into story and gameplay.
According to those who like it. I personally think it started a lot of the flaws in the series. Especially linear events and NPCs just being a vehicle for busy work. Which Wind Waker and TP did even worse.

>Twilight princess in the other hand is a boring corridor zelda, mechanics are ass but is not as bad as Skyward Sword. Both are the worst 3D zelda games.
Both TP and SS do share many problems. I'd say SS polished some of the problems TP had, like orb collecting, better dungeons, better items and so on. But since it used TP as a model, they basically polished a turd. TP is literally everything Zelda shouldn't be.

>It's the only one to actually focus on Metroids, has the most isolation
point taken, I can see how that could be appealing. I mostly play them for the exploration and general improved execution. going from missing platforms to walljumping a single wall is incredibly satisfying

>Yeah, we get it. You're a child who can't handle older games.
you can do better than that

>But why do idiots like you only want remakes of games you already like?
because they would benefit more from it

>The whole point of a remake is to remake a game that had missing content or flaws
sounds like Zelda 2 would be perfect for a remake then

I didn't ask for LA either, I'm more of an Oracles guy, it's just the next in line. The oracle games started out as Zelda 1 remakes, ALBW was supposed to be ALTTP3D aswell.

pirate it

>because they would benefit more from it
It's literally the opposite. A game that's already good would have less ways to improve upon it. And would have more fan backlash for any changes made to it.

>sounds like Zelda 2 would be perfect for a remake then
Your sarcastic reply is countering your own point.

that wasn't sarcasm though. but why would I expect a metroidfag to be anything else than cancer

>that wasn't sarcasm though.
If you were being serious, then you've contradicted yourself even harder. Dummy.

>anyone who likes something must be associated with the absolute worst of the fanbase
You must be a Zelda lorefag and love naked pictures of shota Link.

Zelda 2 would benefit from a remake to make an actual game out of it with focus on 1v1 swordfights

Super Metroid would benefit from a remake to make it more in line of ZM and AM2Rs physics while tidying that retarded control scheme up

or get defensive because someone called your favorite game shit on fucking Yea Forums of all places
