Just practice and play with people more. I introduced a friend of mine into fightan and he's adapted pretty well to them without knowing most of the mechanics and combos. I think once you become more comfortable you'll be able to remember all of that stuff during a match and apply it well. Its just one of those things you have to keep at consistently man.
