The meaning is to allow the propagation of superior traits over time. The weak and the unfit don't pass on their genes and what remains is something better than what came before, or at least this is how it's supposed to work but civilization has put it on hiatus for the time being.

You have so many more questions to answer. I don't think you understand what philosophy even is, let alone what it's for. The scientific method and mathematics are both subgroups of philosophy. Philosophy answers practical questions and solves practical problems as well as abstract problems.

Yet nobody is questioning the fact that such non-philosophy makes up 90% of the philosophy section in your typical library.

Philosophers did and still do a lot of logic. Logical tables (of operators), algorithms and the like lead up to computer science. Even if that wasn't the case, proper reasoning is required in literally every field of inquiry and this leads to many successful interdisciplinary endeavours. However an underage zoomer that discovered Yea Forums during the election reduced the entire field to something that he hasn't even properly described in order to dismiss it and all philosophers are on suicide watch now. After all, isn't all philosophy a long way of saying "just b urself"?
