Yeah but you also have to read the accompanying visual novels and all previous games

No, but you will enjoy it more if you do

No. I would recommend playing both though, great games. ALTTP is actually my favourite game of all time but it's largely because of nostalgia. I loved ALBW as well but you definitely don't need to play ALTTP to enjoy it.
Have fun user!

you should also have watched the musical, but they only performed it once in japan so you will have to find a recorded version on youtube

Not really.
If you want to enjoy it more, self-impose a rule where you can only rent 1 item at a time though.

No, but it helps.

No it's basically the same game for Zoomers

No, ALBW Is basically the same game but better.

Not necessary. It's a solid stand-alone sequel to LttP. Have fun, it's one of the better recent Zelda handhelds.

lol

This

I didn't and it didn't feel like I was missing anything. Pretty self contained. It might be neat because the overworlds are essentially the same, but that might also ruin it for you because you'll burn yourself out.

Playing Link to the Past prior is actually a detriment, because Link Between Worlds basically copies a lot of it.

They're extremely similar so I wouldnt play them back to back or you'll probably be bored by the time you get to the second game.

Personally I think link between worlds is a bit better. It's essentially a remixed version of lttp with a different storyline. It's also one of my favorite zelda in general now, I've probably completed it as many times as I've completed links awakening, ocarina and majora (my personal favorites)

No, and if you must play them both then you should actually play ALBW first, since it uses ALTTP's overworld but also has more refined puzzle design.

You'll appreciate the soundtrack remixes more if you do

Make sure to collect all the maimais.

No but you will enjoy it more if you do. I'd say it would be better if you experience it yourself but if you really want to know It has some enemies and bosses that look and act the same as ALTTP at first but then they add a twist to them with the new items or painting gimmick which catches you offguard if you played ALTTP first, same with some locations and stuff.

Actually it'd be better if you don't, it's almost the same game but better.
