There's alnertate start or skyrim unborn that let's you start as a non dragonborn, traveler, monk, bard, ect and kinda let's you do your own thing. Orcs double damage/half taken daily power is too good in a game that solves all of it's problems with combat.
High Elves technically do more base melee dmg than any other race in skyrim due to the way the game processes character height and dmg but not enough to come close to orc powers.
Kinda fucked that an orc does more damage with magic than a high elf trained in it. God skyrim is shit.

I enjoy playing as an Imperial Noble Man's some who only knows the bow from competition shooting and some light knife play. Sneaking and either no armor at all, or light leather only. specifically of course to avoid unwanted attention.

I've always played kajiit thieves and high elf glass canons with my roleplaying being a kajiit robinhood/punisher archetype or a benevolent do-gooder mage.
Too bad kajiit are worthless in skyrim: orc and high elf edition.

I remember my oblivion mage specd for maximum MP with atronoch birth sign, all equipment enchanted with MP boosting sigil stones, and becoming a blood starved vampire after maxing my INT thus pushing it beyond max.
Lastly I made an on touch (the cheapest delivery type) spell that emptied my whole MP bar.

Does anyone use a mod that replaces the Skyrim armor sets with more colorful alternatives closer to Morrowind/Oblivion ? It's not a big deal but I really feel like some of them use a too washed out color palette.

In Oblivion I made essentially a Paladin. Heavy armor, sword and shield, and restoration spells. I loved making it into the mages guild to make my own healing spells. Had one that emptied my MP bar, but would heal me for stupid amounts per second. Called it Divine Intervention.

I really want to play Oblivion now.

You won't find replacements (at least not that I know of) but there's a few decent balanced armor sets out there that aren't OC donut steel tier.

I first made an argonian, but i accidentally deleted that file, so then i made a dtronk redguard femme chcick, but iaccidentally deleted that file, so then i made a knife ear using drow race beta mod, and i alternate.
If you want nice looking non human races, theres a mod for orcs which gives them nicer faces and get that body mod that gives them 6 packs.
Theres also an argonian and khajit mod that makes them look nice.
Tbh the argonian mod looks amazing, especially if you have the more hair for argonians mod which i forget the name.
Think its feminine argonian textures or chameleon mod.

orc is the only warrior race, thanks to the racial ability
but fuck it, due to the shitty open ended nature of skyrim the only class worth playing is the high elf because it gets 5 levels worth of magicka against everything else, the only thing that's even remotely useful
everything else can be obtained in a thousand other ways and within a few hours a new character is overpowered as shit with enchantments, skills, perks and legendary gear that makes playing on the hardest difficulty feel like story mode anyway

Started out khajiit female rogue/stealth archer, but decided one day i wanted to dead thrall Ondolemar and his 2 guards who follow him as well as the snow elf you have to kill. So i maxed out conjuration and nearly the whole perk tree, so i dont even fight anymore just let my elf boys loose or summon dremoras.
