Remake Sonic '06 and fix all the problems like loading times and jankiness.
Won't be the best game but at least it would be playable then.

Even if you took away the glitches Sonic 06 is still shitty. Having to beat up enemies constantly to open doors, or switching to amigos who control badly, for example.

I don't mind a remake but if it happens, I really hope Sonic Team puts they're all into it. It's not impossible, they are part of SEGA CS2, who does make good games.

It's not just acceleration though, it's everything from gravity to the homing attack. All of it feels different and I'm pretty sure they couldn't use the old engine for a multiplat, so they made a new one.

It's the graphics engine they had to change to make it work on other systems. The gameplay engine is modified from SA2, someone on Sonic Retro discovered this while making the Heroes Mod Loader. I thought I bookmarked the page but I can't fucking find it now
