She is dumb and cute
what are the horns for?
>edelgard says "it might not look like it, but my path leads to the least amount of bloodshed."
>edelgard route is 4-5 chapters shorter than everyone else
>less chapters = less casualties
>war was happening with or without edelgard starting it

Based
Was Edelgard designed to piss off liberals and centrists? I've seen both commies and fascists say using violence as a means for political ends is justifiable if not commendable.
Is El the based Antifa of three houses?
>plans to shatter all ancient traditions
>militantly atheist and anti-church
>wants to tear down the traditional societal power structure in favor of a meritocracy
>fascist
Edelgard is literally French Revolution: Fodlan Edition.
The political spectrum is a horseshoe. Fascists and commies are two sides of the same coin.
Except you know the millions who died in the epilogue fighting the slitherers
>wants to tear down the traditional societal power structure in favor of a meritocracy
No she doesn’t, she just wants to be the sole leader dictating who fills what positions. Not to mention her abject love of the nobility; every single position of power is filled by her noble friends.
If she was an actual French revolutionary, she would simply kill all the nobles. It would actually solve the crest problem too.
>The political spectrum is a horseshoe. Fascists and commies are two sides of the same coin
t.libcuck
Only anal.
She's just a shit character you don't have to engage in political debates to understand why she's so disliked.
Did you play the game? In most if not all of her endings, she eventually passed down the throne to live a quieter life.
>I will get my revenge by doing exactly what the people who I hate want me to do!
Both edelgard and goro are shit characters that people only like because they want to have sex with them
>t. ideologue
Read a book about the 20s or 30s sometime. Mussolini started out as a socialist, for one, and many prominent communists flipped as well. Turns out that when you're rabidly dedicated to the ideology of social change, the particular change doesn't always matter so much.
Every fat Instagram/Tumblr queerfag is obsessed with her and completely drinks her kool-aid on why church bad bloodshed good. It’s because she’s aiming for a better future that she can get half her Empire killed.
>eventually
After ruling as he sole autocrat who determines all powerful positions in society, with zero say from anyone else. It’s not like dictators don’t retire
>exposes the lizard people secretly ruling the world
>takes down the corrupt church that is exploiting people based on lies
>allows anyone who wants to to join her cause, but is willing to kill anyone who opposes her
>establishes free education and a meritocracy for all the people of Fohdlan
>fights for the benefit of the common people despite being royalty
Has any FE lord ever been so fucking based? How could anyone think this character is the villain? She does the right thing in every conceivable situation. She even lets Claude live when he surrenders.
Imagine if your country was slowly taken over by dragons masquerading as muslims over the course of a few hundred years. Don’t you think it would be worth going to war to save your liberties?
I'm surprised more people don't fault Rhea for not defaulting to the literal goddess incarnate. It'd be like if Jesus returned to Earth and the Pope led a militant resistance against him. Which wouldn't actually be so surprising, I suppose.
>fights for the benefit of the common people
Not a single commoner in the game complains about crests. All edelgard did is get millions of commoners so the nobility doesn’t have to worry about crest angst
>She's just a shit character
In reality, she is quite interesting and one of the more compelling characters in the narrative - mainly as the driving impetus of the main plot. I also respect the fact she is cognizant of how much of an tyrannical cunt she would be without Byleth. You're just a thin skinned dicklet who thinks with his emotions like a female and is incapable of interpreting anything outside of a spectrum of black and white.
You're just as fucking retarded.
Yes because when you leave an ideology for another it’s because they are exactly the same.
Horseshoe theory has 0 nuance and is for literal drooling retards smugly satisfied by their 2 seconds of research into the matter.
The empire is a degenerate shithole filled with queers.
>t. Never did Dorothea’s route
>Yes because when you leave an ideology for another it’s because they are exactly the same.
Well, it's more so like both fascists and communists are deranged, power-hungry, and morally bankrupt ideologues eager to seize power by any means necessary.
Please explain how the church took over any of the countries when they each have their own vast nobility structures and govern themselves.
>commies and fascists
They're the same people?
How come all those countries cucked out and sided with the church despite seeing that it was led by a literal dragon monster?
>lizard deep state marches its army across the land slaughtering hundreds of thousands to sow discord and fracture a once united continent and keep them all under its control
>get mad when someone finally has enough of their shit and wants to put an end to their reign
NOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST EXPOSE THE CHURCH AND OUST THEM FROM POWER
She’s a one note character from beginning to end with zero changes, and none of the characters who interact with her have any agency of their own.
>I will get my revenge by perfectly accomplishing what the people I hate want me to do!
This is a shit character with braindead motivations who makes everyone around her just as retarded
Except the empire wasn't slowly taken over by Dragons- the dragon helped found it and mostly stayed out of their hair.
Granted, but I mean you have like 5 other routes (Sylvain, Marianne, Lysethia, etc) that show that the nobility actually suffer more from not having a creat then commoners do.
Because they were being violently invading by a tyrannical regime?
.....the church literally forces the alliance and kingdom to obey them with the threat of military force
The nobility send their heirs to a 1,000 year old building at the epicenter of the 3 200 year old nations so that Church can teach them/solidify their belief in the faith/use them to quell resistance and purge apostates.
This is like saying the Pope has never had power because Vatican city is small and Catholic feudal states governed themselves.
That’s because there’s almost no other commoners in the monetary, because it’s established that they need to pay ridiculous amounts of money to get in.
Dorothea doesn’t have any issues finding suitors despite not having a crest, are you serious?
>fights for the benefit of the common people
>doesn't do anything to address the fact that those who already have wealth and power will naturally have an advantage over others even in a "meritocratic" society
Unless she goes full communist you're just going to replace a ruling noble cast with a ruling merchant caste.
What military force? The church can't even stand up to the Empire on it's own, let alone two other major powers.
>she eventually passed down the throne to live a quieter life.
Doesn't sound like the french revolution then
Fuck off with your censored game.
>+1 chapter for Shambhala
>still shorter than all other routes
COPE harder, faggot. there is no doubt the devs intended Edelgard to be the canon benevolent route.
>Dude just kill the people who run the country and things will get better
>I'm sure the country won't go into complete anarchy and leave it open to invasion from bloodthirsty savages coming in from Almyra and Sreng or vengeful revolts from Brigid and Dagda.
When revolution happens, someone needs to assume control and lay down the law for the new country, then they must retire. Problem is most people let power get to their head and don't retire.
>Dimitri
>just wants to kill Edelgard
>Claude
>"N-no guys stop fighting!!"
Wow what goals.
>the officer’s academy is actually a brainwashing institution despite employing professors who have nothing to do with the church and never teach anything about the church
Edeltards are mentally ill
>what military force?
Ok, now you're just shitposting.
That’s so fucking surface-level. You could say that about literally any 20th century ideology that got involved in conflict. They are both “bad” but for different reasons. Fascism is expansionistic and predisposed to inciting conflict, communism is disastrous for economies and vulnerable to corruption due to the central planning.
The might have their origins in some of the same circles but they are not twin ideologies.
The entire reason she needed to find suitors in the first place is because her life was worth less than dirt as a commoner. Did you not pay any attention to the story?
Edelgard wanted to solve the crest problem, there’s a very simple way to accomplish that.
Don't post if you haven't played any other routes
She literally says that she’s going to introduce free education for everyone and then offer special classes for high performers.
Good to know peasants and serfs cant exist with magic
She doesn’t complain about crests, she complains about being dirt fucking poor
>Crests literally make you better than others
>Edelgard creates a meritocracy
Unless she kills all Crest users, they'll still remain at the top.
No, she never says that. She never even considers educating the populace. She outright admits this, Ferdinand is the one who actually cares about his people.
Dimitri tries to spare Edelgard when he actually gets to her
Meanwhile of course Edelgard does not do the same when she wins and instead feels the need to gloat and mock him for daring to suggest she doesn't care about all the people she's killing
That’s the point, she wants her and her friends to remain in power. She replaces the chaotic nepotism of the crest system with ironclad nepotism. Where now the societal elite don’t have to worry about getting usurped due to randomness
The Knights of Seiros are elites but they aren't enough to invade a country.
Public and private education are a thing now and there's a pretty damn apparent disparity in quality between them. Sure you'll have the occasional peasant that gets by on a scholarship but for the most part it's going to be the merchants and former nobles who bent the knee that come out ahead in her system.
Dimitri has a fucking slave, trying to use him as an example of morally good is fucked
I think one of the biggest problems with this game’s story is that they don’t show you enough examples of how bad crests are for society, so Edelgards hatred for the church seems kinda selfish and vague. All we get is some comments by Dorothea about the tribulations of being born as a commoner, some comments by one of the characters (don’t remember who) about his brother being driven to a life of crime because he was jealous of his brother’s crest, and Edelgard’s sob story about being experimented on. And all of that is in Edelgards own route which should have the highest anti crest focus.
It doesn’t seem to me like the problem with Crests is very systemic and it’s unclear how it’s the Church’s fault. Seems to me that Edelgard is just salty about her father’s negligence and the cruelty of high ranking officials in the empire. Shouldn’t becoming the emperor be enough?
So I'm playing the game and I find it odd that nobody questions why the central church has an armed force under its command and has permission to march across the land to murder dissidents without anyone checking its power to do so. Isn't the state supposed to have a monopoly on the use of physical force against people? A church shouldn't have an army or it's a state with a political agenda at that point.
Again, play the game, no he doesn't.
>strawmanning this hard
The Church exercises a ton of power, you are literally doing fucking missions and following their orders for half the damn game.
(Innate, genetic) Crests are dying out, several people observe this in the game. Edelgard's way is an inevitability on some level, and it would solve the issues typified by Miklan but present in every noble character in the game.
It’s also established in the game that upper class families are all formed around blood lines with crests. If crests did not exist then that distinction would not exist.
Play the game. It's much more than just crests. THE CRESTS ARE TO BLAME is just the rallying cry akin to Build the Wall or The 1%.
The crests are a sign of the control the central church has over all of Fodlan. A church that was founded on lies and continues to lie to maintain control of the three nations.
Only Claude is dumb enough to continue worshipping the earth when he has the Avatar of the goddess in front of him. Edelgard knows she's fighting the heavens, but she does it to liberate humanity from their tyranny.
The tyranny that executes apostates and carries out inquisitions in sovereign territories. The tyranny that censors the true history of Fodlan. The tyranny that split the empire into the nations we know today.
Edelgard says in-game that her end goal is to find a way to eradicate crests. The implication isn’t genocide, but that somehow through crest research she’d be able to magically neuter crest users.
Kinda like the villain from the first season of Korra.
Not that user, but it's still the basic Wookie life debt workaround for having a slave character.
They flesh it out well, but it's definitely that trope being used.
She actually says that she is impressed by Ferdinand’s idea and that it might work.
The Church is like the Jedi, Peacekeepers, not an Army
Didn’t they find some way to eliminate crests ie Lysithea’s crest cancer
Except Dimitri actively asks him to not act like that and says he doesn't owe him anything
Dimitri is one of the most moralfag characters in the game beyond like Felix and a couple other characters
>>commies and fascists
>They're the same people?
>commies want to kill slave owners
>fascists want to kill poor people
no, i don't think they're the same.
Ok so I know the slithers were watching Edelgard the whole time and I've seen people say that because of that she can't actively go against them because she'd get replaced by one of them. I got that but in CF when she declares war she then just kinda waits for sensei to come back for five years without invading or using the demonic beasts to subdue Rhea. If the slithers are lowkey running the show why does Edelgard have such a big say in this? Why didn't they replace her and then use their beasts plus the empire military to conquer the rest of fodlan when you're asleep like in the other routes? I get Edelgard's a good resource but if they just use her image to inspire the rest of the empire then they don't really need her especially if she's stalling out their plans.
I think part of the problem with the focus on crests is how almost none of the commoner characters care about it. Dorothea's the exception but she's under the belief she's a nobleman's daughter so even in her case it's a nobility problem. Since most wars are fought by the common man it ends up feeling like Edelgard is fighting to be rid of a system that only effects a small part of the population.
The church is the most ancient organization of Fodlan, helped create all its states AND is the peacekeeper of the continent by keeping the tard empire on check.
Of course they need an army.
>The Church is like the Jedi, Peacekeepers, not an Army
kek sure buddy, just like the American army are Defenders of DemocracyTM
>Edelgard has to immediately start another war against the slithers
>the based boar unknowingly kills their leadership without even knowing, he just thought they were more of Edelgard's soldiers
Everyone is operating on double digit IQ in CF, it's the only real explanation for a lot of shit.
>She’s a one note character from beginning to end with zero changes,
Patently untrue, or did you unsurprisingly not play Crimson Flower like so many of her malcontents? Her entire character arc is inextricable from the MC. It wasn't until she meets Byleth that she feels she no longer has to walk a path of loneliness in pursuit of her ambitions. And the result is she doesn't become Hitler as she naturally would without guidance.
>characters who interact with her have any agency of their own
Hubert is probably the biggest beta orbiting cuck in the game, and even he fucking defies her if he determines it isn't in her best interest. He says so himself. Hell, he straight up told her to her face he thought she was being retarded getting too close to Byleth and starting threatening the latter with murder. Characters don't have any more or less agency than they do in the other routes.
>I will get my revenge by perfectly accomplishing what the people I hate want me to do!
They have a mutual fucking goal and she cannot expunge the Church with the Empire's strength alone. Why not use them? Better yet, why not use them while fucking killing them off every chance you get? She jumped at the first chance at killing Kronya, Solon, and Cornelia. The former two are straight up surprised she's trying to off them if you get their unique dialogue. When it's all said and done, both the Agarthans and the Church of Seiros will be wiped off the map. I don't see the problem here?
>who makes everyone around her just as retarded
"C-characters don't act the way I want them too! T-t-the writing has to make everyone retarded to agree with her!"
Every fucking time.
Other than lie about their dumb mythology what did the church actually do wrong? Execute some criminals?
>commies want complete control of the government to enact their agenda
>fascists want complete control of the government to enact their agenda
yes, I think they're the same
And about 13 human experiments, yes.
So basically, nothing actually bad, especially the closer you get to the beginning of the game where Rhea keeps giving less and less of a shit.
>Ignoring that the empire infringed upon national sovereignty
Nah see Lonato was a good man and True Knight.
Communism and Fascism are both revolutionary ideologies, of course they wouldn't mind a character using violence for revolutionary means.
This idea that political violence is a unique kimd of evil is a tool of the liberql status quo.
What tyranny? The church isn't evil in this game for once.
>fighting to be rid of a system that only effects a small part of the population
The same was true of IRL merchant classes attaining rights in Europe, or the American revolution (most poor colonists were neutral).
It's not a modern capitalist society. Actions like Edelgard's are how our society came to be.
>And about 13 human experiments, yes.
They weren't even human experiments. She created homunculi, and when they didn't become vessels for Sothis she just let them live their lifes out in peace.
The biggest problem with Edelgard’s route is that Byleth only has the choice to help her AFTER he stops her from assassinating Rhea. Everyone in her house sides with her, only after they prevent her from achieving her goal, thus causing the 5 year war.
If they just sided with her from the get go then there would have been no war. Further still, she probably could have had everyone easily side with her if she just told them Rhea was secretly a monster.
>by accomplishing what the people I hate want me to do
You mean, genocide them?
Keeping the whole 'if crestlets pick up crest stones they turn into demonic beasts' thing a secret is a dick move.
Too many years later and only after getting rid of the church.
Pretty fucking retarded.
Funnily enough the first liberal states were created through revolutionary means.
>She even lets Claude live when he surrenders.
yea i fell for the edeltard shitposting until i actually played her route. her paralogue is the toughest in the game where she fills in for claude after he leaves fodlan and helps the gonreils in the alliance fend off an almyran wyvern horde. edelgard is a way more benevolent hegemon than Yea Forums wants to admit
Truly he is best boar
You can't blame her for humans playing god and experimenting on people.
She executed criminals without giving them a hearing.
She then carried out inquisitions on other churches
She conducted human experiments that involve removing their hearts; murder
Lies about the mythology isn't a crime, but using those lies to control Fodlan is fraud
So on and so forth. Play non-Boartard routes and maybe you'll begin to understand the political complexities of Fodlan and the problem the church poses to their sovereignty and their future.
That's like saying the komissars weren't evil just because Stalin was. Rhea is unarguably evil, just because the church doesn't know about it doesn't mean they're not complicit.
The church is it politically relevant; it doesn’t do anything to threaten societal reform.
How dare the church support national sovereignty for the alliance, how dare the church support national sovereignty for the kingdom, all of fodlan should be under the heel of one emperor, a nation founded by the church.
What does that have to do with what I said?
That demonic beasts have nothing to do with her, at all.
How are dragons monsters anyway? It's not like they're inheretly evil.
Seteth used to be a dragon, he's pretty chill.
Indech just hangs around in a pond and hands out weapons to adventurers
Machuli is a dick to everyone equally
And Rhea only uses her form in self-defense if she's not going mad.
Headcanon
>tortures enemy combatants for the kick of it
>moralfag
No, he's a violent mentally ill lunatic, if you think he's just your typical Fire Emblem Lord, you completely missed the point of his character.
Didn't the Alliance break away from the Kingdom?
Anyone here played all the routes? Did you play them all in a row or take breaks? How long did subsequent playthroughs take? My first run through took about 65 hours.
Keen to play all the routes but afraid of burn out.
>crests are magic God powers made by Allah, not cursed bones of my dead bros that are basically medieval WMDs.
It IS at least partially the Church's fault for allowing that arms race to continue, just as a retarded cover story for the "truth," which they could've revealed whenever they wanted but chose not to because...
well, I'd say because it served as a means to control people, but then faggots will start screaming about "muh church has no power" again.
>She executed criminals without giving them a hearing.
They tried to kill her and invaded the most sacred place in her state.
>She then carried out inquisitions on other churches
Because they tried to kill her.
>and the problem the church poses to their sovereignty and their future.
Which is why it's perfectly fine in 3/4 routes.
THE CHURCH IS THE ONE SUPPORTING THE NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY OF OTHER NATIONS
Edeltard is the one saying no alliance eat shit you will all die unless you submit
But if she never started it, there's no war
I'm not saying she made the beasts, but she basically said 'hey don't tell anyone that Miklan turned into a beast, we can't have it be public knowledge that crest stones turn people into beasts', that kind of thing should be known.
No, with what we are presented IN-GAME it’s a fact millions of people died fighting the slitherers, and her end card is the only one with them present.
That's not her goal and you fucking know it. If the Kingdom hadn't rolled over for the Church, or if she didn't need the Alliance's strength to fight them both, she would have left the Alliance alone entirely.
Edelgard route: Byleth just goes along with whatever she wants and comforts her when he's needed. Hubert just stands behind her playing pocket pool going "yes my master, mmm my master, anything for you my master. mmmm". And the rest of the cast are just lied to by Edelgard, to keep them on track that what they're doing is the "right thing".
While Dimitri and Claude in their respective routes are constantly criticized and outright told all the bads and wrongs by almost everyone in the team.
Except look at the Alliance and how they have people who are in charge who don't have crests. Edelgard knows shit about the common people. So much so that she shits on Dimitri for not knowing anything about them when he lived as a hobo for 5 years and is thinking about fixing it instead of just spouting nonsense.
She's based.
She hates Niggers and Spics.
She's my queen and I'll support her until the end of time.
So did Rhea tell the people undergoing the rite in the upper levels of the church that what they're doing can turn them into White Beasts or did she leave that part out?
She's neither a fascist nor a communist, if anything, she's a more selfless version of a Napoleon-like liberal revolutionary.
>she would have left the Alliance alone entirely.
She explicitly states her desire to conquer the entirety of fodlan under the imperial banner. She also thinks the formation of the alliance was a church plot to weaken fodlan in the first place.
Are low level auxiliarys the best way to grind for class abilities without leveling up
When? When does this happen.
>nobody questions
The whole plot of the game is Edelgard questioning just that
>Too many years later
As opposed to when? Immediately after getting SLITHER'D in the basement? Before her coronation as Emperor when she had no power? Or during the war against the Church?
>and only after getting rid of the church.
Because starting out, she needs the Slithers to get rid of them. This is explicitly made clear multiple times.
>Pretty fucking retarded.
You're projecting pretty hard here.
>2019
>still defending theocratic forms of state
Economic oppression is violence, and you have the responsibility to defend yourself.
Sociopaths have no place in this world and must be slaughtered and using crispr we must eliminate all genes tied to sociopathy from the gene pool
Current humanity is too flawed for any system of government or economics to work and sustain itself, we have to create a sustainable breed of humanity to replace us.
Why didn't Dimitri rebut her when she said that?
When the god of said theocratic state exists? Sure.
The Holy Kingdom attacks the Empire to defend the Church first though. Had Dimitri stepped aside, or even joined her, hey would have never been in conflict with each other.
Edelgard literally could have gotten claude and dimitri to side with her if she did things in a more sensible matter that didnt involve starting a country wide war
Being SLITHER'D gave El trust issues and autism please understand.
Because she's as self righteous as it gets and can't possibly accept she's in the wrong about something.
I think he means on BE route where Rhea doesn't go missing and the church's heirarchy is still mostly intact. In the BE version if Petra and Bernie's paralogue Catherine gets sent to subdue Brigid instead of Hubert
Claude sure, Dimitri probably no.
Not before the Kingdom rolls over and makes that the only path to beating the Church.
Also every route conquers the continent, what a retarded metric for moralfaggotry.
She was literally going to burn down their school and kill everyone who didn't agree with her
If she was inarguably evil then there wouldn't be any of these 100's of threads where Edeltards spurg out and try to claim she was evil only to get btfo every time. What did Rhea do that was evil? Please explain it to me.
my wife edelgard is so cute
I've never actually seen someone get it so completely backwards before.
Well sure but I'd like to see Dimitri go 'well actually El, I've spent the last five years living in the gutters with the lowest of the low while you're standing proud on your ivory tower' and see Edelgard shit herself over trying to think of a witty comeback.
>She also thinks the formation of the alliance was a church plot to weaken fodlan in the first place.
Is there actually any truth to this? It sounds like it would make sense, but she never even really gives proof aside from accusing them of it.
>every route conquers the continent
>rebuilding what's left of what Edelgard destroyed in a centralized effort by the surviving ones is conquering the continent
I honestly don't understand why Claude doesn't join her, seeing as taking out Rhea and weakening Fodlan from the inside so that an Almyran invasion can happen was always in his cards anyway.
Except you know, her goal of conquering the entire continent.
Again, this is pre-timeskip stuff that remains the same in all routes. Edelgard believes the very formation of the Alliance and the Kingdom is a church plot, and wants to get rid of them.
Because she invades his country and attacks the monastery where he is staying and also tries to kill students there?
She's the one that started the war and got the other two factions to fight each other, all to further the Dubbstepper's agenda. She's a Slitherer puppet in 3/4 routes and dies as a discarded tool to the Mole people.
Edelgard is a hardcore tyrannical nepotistic Darwinist poising as an extreme anti-theist Libertarian. She would have nothing but contempt for most Leftists that believe in social programs to alleviate their suffering, because she honestly believes their leeches who no conviction of their own. Her meritocracy is a meme, all her friends are majority nobles, and they receive positions of powers after she wins the war, simply of nepotism. She never even considered the possibility of funding universal education to the masses to bridge the gap between commoners and nobles, until Ferdinand brings it up. And Ferdinand and Bernie still keep their lands, titles, and wealth, too, despite Edelgard claiming she wants to abolish the ability. It's all lies.
There's no proof.
People from Faerghus wanted out, Rhea mediated and they got an out.
Nobles from the alliance wanted out, Rhea mediated and they got an out.
Censor books that contain history that’s considered haram
Her explanation is garreg Mach is at the center of the nations, even though it makes sense that’s where a neutral organization would be.
Do you expect me to buy this bullshit political semantics?
All the Edelgard criticism got reserved for the Church route, her own route just enables her. The most you get is a few lines of her saying "if you weren't here Byleth I would be such an evil autocrat." Byleth's importance to the main cast is retarded since the writers won't let him speak and he's missing for most of the war
He doesnt want to actually invade fodlan and edelgard tries to kill him multiple him
Dimitri is the case where he would go after the first person he could find that was connected to Duscur. If Edelgard had told him about the slithers first instead of him seeing her as the Flame Emperor, he definitely would've cooperated.
>no u
There is no truth to it. In all honesty Rhea stepping in to negotiate probably saved the Empire from Loog bending them over and raping them further. Rhea creating the Kingdom was probably an attempt to save the human family that aided with her to take down Nemesis.
That's something Manuela brings up, that Garreg Mach is in the middle of the three countries even though it was built long before they existed
A neutral organization built 800 years before those countries existed?
>semantics
Just because you have no argument you can't play the retard.
Conquering implies the use of military force to take over a territory, forcefully.
As far as it can get from what Dimitri/Claude/Bylethb do in their routes. only Edelgard conquers, everyone else defends and ends the war.
>I’m going to invade you and kill you until you submit to being typed by one singular autocrat
Vs.
>an elected council of leaders voluntarily agree to dissolve the alliance
>equal
They did and the Kingdom for the most part is pretty cool with it. The empire/Edelgard are just lissed that they lost all their power and people are happier outside of their shitty corrupt as fuck system.
It's also built near the old dragon tribe's home and serves as a missile defense system. I took her accusation as just a way to rally the Imperials
Seeing as she plans to fuck them up and does so as soon as the Church is defeated in her own route, I'd say "puppet" is pushing it. She's a convenient if shaky ally.
I hated Awakening and have no interest in Fates. 4, 6, and 12 are my favorite FEs. Will I like Three Houses?
Are you implying they should just be in the territories of newly formed nations? What is this argument? How is that neutral is they are going to play favorites
Edelards are fucking insane
Because he thinks she can't possibly be that retarded. Or he doesn't want to bring up his hobo days because they were not fun times for him either way Dimitri is probably the one of the few nobles who knows the struggles of the commoners and the dirt poor so he has the most insight and willingness to fix things for them.
Just step aside and let me take over your country bro. Let us rape your culture for our own, if you fight back you are the bad guys. Don't mind that our system is worse than all of yours and more corrupt and bloodthirsty than all the others. It will be totally cool Dimitri.
The thing is, the slitherers are planning to fuck them up after The Immaculate One is killed too. Because you know that’s their entire plan. Because you know she’s the one who beat them before. Because you know she’s the only one who can stop them.
If there was any internal logic in CF, the slitherers would IMMEDIATELY nuke Enbarr the second Rhea dies.
>"Edelgard you're only creating a world where the strong will dominate the weak again, your ideals mean nothing"
>"you think I'm strong?"
What the fuck were Manuela and Hanneman doing, the lords you don't teach personally turn into absolute morons
Dimitri literally was going after the first person he thought was responsible for Duscur by going after Thales. He would have continued going down that line and maybe started going after Slithers if Edelgard wasn't LARPing and decided to declare war on all of Fodlan.
Because why the fuck would Claude put himself at the mercy of a stranger who's tried to kill him multiple times over without offering anything in return or even getting to know or recruit him to her cause?
Likewise, there's zero reason to support an empire that's conquering the continent through force when he's trying to subvert the policies of said continent. He'd be making a much more volatile border with the nation he has more invested in, given the church wasn't spearheading wars against foreign countries, but the Empire was against Dagda/Brigid very recently and was trying to conquer the Kingdom/Alliance too. Having a warmongering tyrant in control of the neighboring continent he was trying to shape would be so much worse for Almyra.
Dumbass, Manuela says it's weird that Garreg Mach was built when Fodlan before the Kingdom and the Alliance even existed yet it's still perfectly in the middle of the three nations, as if it was manufactured to be that way.
So, what’s the best route Yea Forums? Is the church one worth playing?
Do they all have different missions or is there overlap?
She stops Nemesis, and only barely.
She's no match for the slitherbros, otherwise they wouldn't be around after all these years.
Three Houses was heavily inspired by fe4, so theres a possibility you will.
He doesn't want Almyra to invade. He just wants the countries to open up and not hate each other since he is a half breed and both sides hate him for that. Almyra invading would make his problems fucking worse since Fodlan would hate Almyrians more.
This. Hilda's brother is considered of the greatest general of the Alliance, the Goneril family is only second in prominence to Claude's and Holst survived a fight against godlike Nemesis. This is despite the fact that this guy is apparently a Crestless, Relicless warrior who doesn't even have a sacred weapon, he's still considered the strongest character of the Alliance against Nobles who who have Crests and Relics. Pretty based.
If there was any logic in the whole game, the Agarthans wouldn't plot for over 1000 years to kill Seiros only to move when they have one teenager who is blatantly planning to kill them later, let alone just not using the objectively stronger equivalent sleeping in their basement. Just lure Seiros out of the monastery with a bodysnatcher and nuke her from orbit, ezpz. They are simultaneously evil masterminds that have Edelgard's hands tied and complete retards that never once use their ORBITAL MISSILES against a relevant target without missing
The pre timeskip missions are all the same except that Edelgard has a different mission 13. Post timeskip the Church, BL and GD missions are largely similar with some unique missions, while BE is mostly different.
Dedue and Hubert are also Crestless and look at what they can do.
Church and Deer have almost 100% overlap.
Eagles is the most unique.
Lions for a personal story, you get to be a shepherd.
Deer for lore and getting the truth.
Eagles for a chaotic, revolutionary story.
Church for incest.
Excuse me, I meant Edelgard has a different Ch 12
Didn't they lock away Grug because he's too uncontrollable?
It depends why you hated Awakening and like 4 and 6.
The game is very slow burn. Lots of slice of life shit with one dimensional cliche anime characters, but the build up pays off in the second half. The maps are good, but not on par with the best the series has to offer. The gameplay is fairly deep and rewarding, but the trade off is that it is way too easy since you have such a high degree of control over what class every unit becomes.
But Edelgard doesn't fuck them up. It just says she goes to war and that would continue the same status quo of the Church war vs the Slithers. A whole lot of nothing happening. Hell fucking Dimitri who doesn't k ow they exist fuck the Slithers up in game more than she and Hubert do.
BL has the best story and characters, GD has the best lore, and BE is necessary to understand Edelgards motivations plus has unique maps.
Church is just a shittier GD, dont bother
>Living in the slums while being a literal schizo hobo
The perfect disguise
You should try actually playing the game.
Or at least Google the dialogue for Hubert's paralogue.
BL, GD, and church overlap a good amount with GD and church being near identical. BE differs the most but is the shortest by about four chapters.
As for best it depends on what you want. BL is more narrative/character driven and is arguable the best at that but doesn't explain much. GD explains a lot of lore while church explains more about who you are. BE is mostly the Edelgard show so if you need more explanation about her that's where you go.
I didn't mind the church myself but it left me kinda melancholy - there's a lot of off-screen death which if you've played the other routes can be a bit depressing (assuming you like the characters of course).
All Dimitri did was kill Thales and Cornelia, how does that fuck the Slithers up more? If anything they'll just rear their little heads back up in a few decades once they sort out who their new leader is.
But muh epilouge
Dimitri ends up ok in CF because he doesn't get fucked over as soon as he goes home. He isn't perfect and still very flawed, but he is ok. Edelgard fucks him hard in every other route, including AM where he has Byleth even.
I’ve alteady done Edelgard - would you recommend BL or GD next up?
>Two huge autists share a voice
How unsurprising.
GD next so you can fully understand the Slithers and Rhea/Nemesis. Save BL for last since it has almost nothing to do with them but is still arguably the best just for its writing and would end your experience on the highest note then game can offer
It doesn't matter. Do you want a Kino character story about Dimitri or do you want more lore and to find out that Edelgard started a war for all the wrong reasons and is a retard?
GD then BL. That way if for some bizarre reason you feel like doing church you're not doing it after the route that's it but better.
Can you even reliably kill Rhea with the nukes? In VW she facetanks multiple nukes and manages to crawl away afterward. And that's when she's still weak from being locked in Edelgard's basement for five years.
Okay so I get Dimitri reached out to Edelgard because he's an idealist like that but could Edelgard realistically have redemption after all the shit she did?
Probably, but he beelines for Seiros immediately and the Agarthans had little compunction in killing themselves to kill Seiros. They have the 11 strongest dudes in history with evil relic weapons just lying around and they opt for a teenager who is plotting verbatim to kill them later. There's nothing stopping from nuking Fhirdiad the second Edelgard and Byleth kill Rhea, considering they know she's working against them. Can't believe they played their hand and revealed their position by launching a missile at Arianrohd just to metaphorically slap Edelgard on the wrist
Regardless, BL's slither portion is so contrived that I can't believe anyone would defend it as good.
Easily the weakest part of that route, I'd never hold it up as representative of BL in general.
That only happens in CF. AM, SS, and VW all depict Edelgard as completely incompetent and a puppet of the Slitherers all the way the very end until Byleth decapitates her after confessing her love for that emotional autistic glorified container, or until Dimitri decides to test his spear on Edelgard's apparently existing heart.
If thales was able to bring back nemesis in BL would dimitri have been able to beat him?
This. No one outside the Empire would ever accept being run by those corrupt fuckheads again. For all her talk of uplifting the plebs Edelgard doesn't give a fuck about self-determination.
The only way this was going to end was her ending up like Patricia and spending the rest of her days in Dimitri's concubine warehouse
He kills Mysen or whatever the fuck his name is too. That is still more than Edelgard does. It is the only route without nukes so killing Thales early presumably gets rid of their ability to launch them.
They don't even win against them in the epilogue and they are seen to be still around.
slut
Church and GD show that she and Hubert were literally planning to take them out
>scene only incels would understand
no, dimitri is a pussy whipped cuck
and that ended with lamberts death so.....
The nukes incapacitate her just by blowing up in her face (when she sees them coming), and she's captured 3/4 times by normal crest demons. These molemen have schemed for a millenium and BTFO themselves despite having all the advantages possible
Have her get cloistered as a church nun and be forced to work as an advisor to the new Archbishop? That sounds like a suitable punishment. Death is a mercy for her
This Rhea mediated because the king of lions was kicking her precious empire ass so fucking much.
Peoole forget that Rhea didn't fund Embarr but helped build it with his most loyal friend the first emperor, after nemesis was dealt with Rhea helped found the empire and named his most trusted human friend the emperor.
Edelgard isn't just stupid, she tarnished the friendship her ancestor had with Rhea the moment she raided the holy tomb just like nemesis did before her.
>Can't believe they played their hand and revealed their position by launching a missile at Arianrohd just to metaphorically slap Edelgard on the wrist
That hadn't occured to me, but holy shit what an idiotic thing to do.
So they're basically Boris and Natasha or Wile E Coyote to me now.
I think the general structure of this game was very good - making you care for the students before pitting them against each other in a battle to the death. However, I think it could have been paced much better.
First, you should have been given a couple more prologue missions before you choose which house you want to join (you could make these skipable for further playthroughs). I think it’s unreasonable for first time players to make a decision that will influence the next 60 hours of gameplay without letting them get to know the characters a bit first.
Next, I think the pre-time skip part should be pruned down to something like 8 chapter max. The post time skip portion of the game is way too short (ESPECIALLY in Edelgard’s route).
Wasn't there pre-timeskip scene where Edelgard in her Flame Emperor get up basically says straight to the Slitherers she'll come after them when she's doesn't need them any more?
So was the Emperor's History that Edelgard has altered by the slithers or did just get a complete forgery?
Play it on maddening. Church route is best route for a challenge because you lose your Lord and her retainer who's pretty much the only one designed to specialize in Dark Magic, all while facing the strongest faction at its peak strength backed up by TWSITD. Having Seteth as your second in command doesn't even come close to compensating.
So do all the people in Foldan just not notice that Rhea's been archbishop for 1000 years? I don't remember anyone mentioning it.
Liberals are just corporate dick suckers on disguise, they go "violence is wrong sweetie" becuase they want money to be the only form of power.
After Kronya kills Jeralt she basically tells Thales to go fuck himself
So what exactly does 'New Sidestory: Abyss Mode' mean?
At first I thought it was just a renamed Infernal but then, why would they specify that it's a 'new sidestory"?
Replacing the true version of something with a copy that serves their purposes is their MO.
>If you don't want the world engulfed in a constant state of war you must love sucking corpo dick like neolibs and neocons
People are completely ignoring the context of the Empire’s political situation if they think war is avoidable. Arundel/Thales runs the whole fucking show. Even completely ignoring her personality flaws in trust issues and a sunken cost fallacy, in what fucking world would Edel telling Dimitri and Claude solve the issue of Slitherfags not just running the Empire but also primed to take control of the Kingdom as well? Dimitri has no power at this point too and would never take the news wel that Edelgard is the FE.
It would also make the plot a lot less fucking interesting
Anyone played the new difficulty setting? How is it? Worth another playthrough?
Is it more fun on NG+ or normal NG?
That's not implied in the game, if that's what you're asking.
I personally love it when past events in lore are shrouded in mystery and different interpretations, and I've learned not to seek out the "truest" one.
Even calling the guy "Nemesis" is an on-the-nose Church-ism.
>"I will not be a puppet for the Slithers any more"
>still falls for their deception
Poor El, she's too autistic to realize she's still dancing to the dubstep of the slithers.
There's some NPC that talks about a previous Archbishop, but it's not clear if it was a different person or just Rhea in another disguise
They're so goofy and don't fit with the """"morally grey"""" story the rest of the game is trying to tell. Don't ask me how Hubert tracked down their hidden location from an orbital missile launch (no relevant trajectory), we just gotta move on to the next map no time for questions
The core of that information isn’t wrong but it paints Nemesis and the first emperor in a comically rosy light.
I think it just got comically warped over time like most folklore
>I have a regent that basically runs the entire show
>I know the solution! I'll declare war against the onlythe people willing to help me destroy the slither infestation and essentially start a 2 front war!
To stop people thinking it's a full new campaign
Probably telephoned down and then Sluthers fucked some of it up.
Well Rhea also liked Wilhelm so maybe Wilhelm was just a really swell guy.
BL realistically has the best chance out of the houses to beat Nemesis and the elites without Byleth
>Dimitri is one of the strongest people in the world without his insane boar autism strength
>Dedue is the second biggest badass around behind Dimitri
>Felix is extremely strong with a heroes relic and sacred weapon
>Sylvain is a strong knight with a relic weapon that has single handedly let his house defend their territory for years
>Ingrid is in the same boat as Sylvain with a relic of her own
>Ashe is competent knight
>Annette is a strong mage with a huge fucking magic hammer relic
>Mercedes might canonically be the best healer due to how holy she is
Add to that they're basically the church faction so they'd also have Catherine, Gilbert, Shamir and Alois.
I assume the latter.
I think it’s more likely to be like 5 new chapters that form their own mini-side story that you can select from the main menu.
I’d have to see the original Japanese to take a real stab at it though.
It amazes me that people try to defend this character.
Going to start this soon tell me the best order to play the routes in. I've heard BE -> Church -> BL -> GD.
That's all their highest ranking leaders/body snatchers (also killed Myron, so he even got their third-string leader), and Rhea's still alive which puts use of nukes in sketchy territory (if they even have the launch codes without Thales). In BL route, they also used the means to awaken Nemesis on Hegemon Edelgard which he stops, so that's another tool of their's neutered.
They need every advantage they can get to accomplish anything. Like did you see how much setup the tragedy of Duscar took? Took getting a King to leave their kingdom, a body-snatcher in a position of power in the capital city, and the King's own wife to be in on the betrayal.
muh cute autistic emperor
It's all waifufaggotry disguised as higher ideals. Dimitri and Rhea are vastly better characters
Probably not.
Pretty sure every citizen on the kingdom would ask for her head every day.
I agree. Pre-timeskip is too long and needs to differ between the routes (seems tailored for Blue Lions as is). Rewrite the timeskip to happen when Byleth is trapped in the shadow realm, it's nonsense as it is now, especially in Crimson Flower. I'd go further and minimize the almighty dragons and dubstep molemen too, they only distract from the emotional core of former friends trapped in conflict with each other, but every FE has these elements so that's wishful thinking
She explicitly only declares war on the church. The continent essentially breaks down into pro church/anti church factions within the countries.
Of course it ends up turning into that seeing as she believes that the church purposely egged on the division of human unity in order to manipulate them more easily, which is a stretch
>Boartard logic
lmao
>deep state
Just skip church bro. BL has the best reveals of the story if you are seeing them the first time.
I’d say swap Church and GD. GD and church route are VERY alike. Play GD first so that you’ll have a fresh cast of character instead of BE immediatey again.
Hopes/predictions for DLC?
Classes:
Dark Flier, might as well break what's left of the balance, galeforce is basically already in anyway
Malig Knight, if only because its design is sick (and also because they'd probably make dark flier female only again)
Mechanist/Puppeteer, but this time making actual puppets instead of multiform
Summoner, because phantoms are cool
Dread Fighter, doesn't seem likely given that Mortal Savant is basically the same thing, but who knows
Ballistician, now able to kill with their weapon
Lodestar, because of course, especially since people cry for another sword master class
The whole abyss mode:
The name makes me think of some kind of endless endgame challenges to use your trained army for, but the translation also calls it a side story, so what's the abyss stuff about?
If this is about Lonato, Dimitri acknowledges on BL route that the Church wouldn't normally be involved in putting down his rebellion. It's only due to the ongoing instability in Faerghus that the Church is asked to resolve the matter.
The truth is that most people here have not played all the routes. If you’ve only played Edelgard’s route you’d be forgiven for thinking that she was the hero of a somewhat poorly written story. It’s only after you play the other routes that you realise that she is villainous.
Dimitri goes from schizophrenic murderhobo to comically idealistic moralfag at a breakneck speed. How the fuck is this a good character.
I’ll give you Rhea since her overall arc of grief is just exquisitely done
Don't worry, the Slithers aren't prepared for her and Hubert's supreme epilogue powers
>Edelgard isn't just stupid, she tarnished the friendship her ancestor had with Rhea the moment she raided the holy tomb just like nemesis did before her.
Edelgard has nothing but contempt for Wilhelm, despite the fact that the Empire she inherited comes from him. She thinks of him as nothing but Rhea's slave that allowed the Church to control FodIan, when the Church couldn't even stop the Alliance and Kingdom from separating. She can't even say his name in conversation. Edelgard not ended her bloodline with her actions in most routes, but the ended the only bloodline of humanity that actually sided against Nemesis. And Edelgard idolizes that tool over her ancestor and the only hero of humanity that did the right thing. Her efforts ended the reign of the Empire in all the other routes outside her own. It's pathetic. Wilhelm would be rolling in his grave.
>only declares war on the church
>while the crown prince to Almyra and Faerghus are both in the monastery and also attacked
>while Edelgard straight up says she plans to reunify Fodlan, which is a blatant disregard for national sovereignty
Did you never hear of the crusades?
Man, when you think about it, Adrestria and Faerghus are kinda shitholes at the start of the game.
Beinge a cute girl goes a long way.
People would defend Hitler if he had been a cute girl.
I think the best way to go is BL -> BE -> Church (optional) -> GD.
That way you get more lore each time to recontextualize the things from past paths. Most pre-timeskip missions relate to BL characters directly too. Church is a worse reskin of GD though and doesn't reveal much that isn't in GD, and GD's finale is much much better than Church's.
Hubert is fucking based and I can see him hookwinking them, Edelgard, not so much.
Abyssal mode feel like the end-game challenges older FE have. Basically a way to keep using your hard-earn units for fun/challenge without impacting the core game
Also a proper lance calvary master class, i guess?
Basically, The first emperor was basically the first knight of Seiros and Rhea most trusted buddy, the only way he could have resented Rhea and trash talked about her to his descendants would be if the transformation of Maurice scarred him but there is really no mention of it nor reason for him to hate the dragon lady that anointed him Emperor of everything at that point.
We also have to remember that the experiments also fucked up edelgard memories.
Heavily implied to be complete forgery, part of the reason the 10 elites are spared is because of the first emperor, do Macuil/Wind caller paralogue and attack him with Claude and Seteth to get his special dialogue, Macuil is fucking pissed that the 10 elites were allowed to live and considers Seiros/Rhea an idiot for letting them live, you get this because Macuil can smell 10 elite Riegan the bow knight of nemesis in Claude.
>based on lies
what did he mean by this?
These kind of solutions seem so blatantly obvious it’s a wonder to me that nobody on the development team suggested them. It’s something I see a lot with Japanese games actually - good games that are so close to being masterpieces, but with some glaring flaws that would have been easy to address.
I can only assume that it’s because Japanese work culture breeds lapdogs who are scared of critiquing their boss’s ideas.
With Byleth, yeah. No reason to think otherwise if Byleth and Claude can do it. Nemesis could potentially be beaten by a regular army albeit with extreme losses, his army got BTFO in the opening while he and Seiros were busy
Why's everyone here such a pussy bitch? Killing people isn't that big of a deal.
Considering the shitshow that is Faerghus and the Alliance at the time I unironically don’t mind it.
Especially Faerghus, Jesus Christ what an awful place to live going by what we see
>Bandir uprisings everywhere
>People Will genocide an entire ethnic subgroup based off a rumor
>shit good
>have to depend on the church the most out of the three regions
>regent is an incompetent buffoon
>constant famine
Never seen panels more superfluous than the first two
Fodlan is a shithole in general
>90% of the kids has problem with their family/past
>Arundel basically control the empire
>The kingdom is falling apart
>the Alliance is a sorry execute of a “democratic council”
>Vengeance for the genocide at Zanado
>"little more than a simple dispute"
Edelgard doesn't know shit, does she?
People here defend Hitler regularly.
It is in a terrible state because of the Empire/slithers you buffoon. Everything fell apart when Lambert died thanks to his whore wife.
In her defense, being Slither'd fucked up her head.
>rhea exists
>everythhing they said was correct
>lie about their dumb mythology
>Thales lets slip that Nemesis was just a thief in Ch. 4
>Edelgard just ignores him entirely
>later says pic related
Not even exposition can save her, her ignorance is the real tragedy
Leicester is no better when the political infighting leads to things like Raph’s parents getting killed over petty disputes and other general corrupt business practices
And yet there are lunatics who think this status quo was okay and/or sustainable, especially with slitherfags lurking
>farmine
Well when your more fertile and warmer land was taken away by the alliance and you are left with frozen wasteland, theres not much of a choice
Wonder why alliance and kingdom’s relationship isnt that strained
You mean the wife Lambert purposely locked away from everyone and that Dimitri can't even remember ever being happy?
After reading this, and getting Wilhelm details in GD about how much he meant for Rhea for her to forgive those that helped the man that killed his mother and people for the better good Wilhelm does sound like a cool guy.
Edelgard spits on the grave of the man that tried his best to avoid bloodshed after an almost world ending tier event such as the killing of Sothis and the rise of a blood God powered Batta the beast.
Even ignoring slitherfags that doesn’t change the constant famine and other awful living conditions.
They almost have to be known for their martial prowess just so they can survive, shit sounds awful
>I'm unhappy so I'm going to fuck the world up so hard it traumatizes 2 out of the 3 heirs to Fodlan and lays the groundwork for a massive fucking war
No one know shits in this game. You only discover it later in 2 routes, and only when the war is ell under way anyway
She’s missing a fuckton of context but strictly speaking she isn’t wrong.
Not totally fair to expect her to be clairvoyant or the information in an entirely difference route, like Dimitri thinking El is responsible for Duscur when he sees she’s the FE
IMO I think it's because the game was delayed a couple times and their resources were misappropriated, leading to an unfinished summer release. The title suggests they planned on 3+ routes from the beginning, but they only finished 1.5 routes' worth of maps, let alone carving up a story 4 ways with blatant contrivances. Edelgard is the most marketed, popular, and plot-central character but her route feels like it got made last
As opposed to the mass poverty and human experimentation of the Empire? Lambert had plans to improve living standards, plans that Dimitri would eventually see through in BL.
Patricia wasn't thinking about it like that, she was approached by some people and told 'hey, you can see your daughter if you help us' and she did. It was entirely emotionally driven and could have easily been avoided if Lambert just told Dimitri that his play-pal can come see her.
>dogs eat dog food
Could someone give me some pointers on recruitment please! I've been referring to the resources over at Serenes Forest, which have been very helpful. However, they only really provide "what" should be done, not necessarily "how" to go about doing it. What is the most efficient process of recruiting friends?
Lambert is a asshole who brought that shit on himself with how he treated his wife desu. Yes she was over her head and probably didn’t intend for that but he’s still in the wrong for treating her so badly shes resort to that
You'd think people being so mad at Edelgard for not knowing things would also be mad at the people withholding information in the first place, but no.
So how come Lambert gets praise when he tries to reform his land but everyone ignores Ionius?
>mass poverty
Is this even stated in the game? Aside from typical noble/commoner divide. No ones gonna argue against the slither infestation
Eat meals with them and level up the stats it tells you to. I think I recall someone saying you don't need to bother with the stats if you can get a B rank support with them.
Give flowers and gifts until you reach B then wait for them to auto recruit.
Who the hell is Anna?
A jew
The only ones that know are an autistic turtle chilling in a lake like Bernie does in her room, a dragon that fucked up to an island because Rhea didn't kill the 10 elites and is tired of Fodlan bullshit, a cool boomer that can't transform into a dragon, a thirsty loli dragon that likes fish, the immaculate one itself, a guy dead for about a Millenia that eventually lead to the birth odlf Edeltard and a bunch of underground dubsteppers that caused the massacre in the first place, also a very angry bandit with a sword whose alarm clock is a nuke.
Almost no one knows of Zanado unless any of them spills the beans.
Why isn't Wilhelm not considered an Elite like all the rest?
Ionia has it the fucking worst of anyone desu. Being usurped by family and watching all 11 of your kids suffer brutal experimentation that leads to all but one dying, and even she’s altered beyond all recognition
Because he got to smash Seiros' dragon pussy so the other Elites kicked him out.
HIS NAME WAS MYSON
They have constant invasions from the bordering countries that they can only defend themselves from with the relic weapons, which puts way more emphasis on the importance of crests in nobility.
A plague fucked their kingdom up like 20 years ago.
Kingdom's in upheaval from their king being killed on foreign soils on a visit for peace-talks, some of the kingdom's own nobility are implicated and executed in it.
Constant invasions + lotta dead people from plague + lack of leadership from dead king with the heir not of age to step up yet + empire invading in a 5 year long war with a coup occurring during it = holy shit they cannot get a break
Well if Edelgard didn't delude her self into "knowing the real truth" maybe she coulda figured some shit out. She captures Rhea in 3/4 routes and never thinks to interrogate her?
There's some lines in the game about this, but I don't remember them well enough to paraphrase.
Leicester and Adrestria are also invaded by their neighbors and the former is able to stave them off without needing the Crest Crutch and the latter turned the tables and conquered Brigid as retaliation despite 'being in decline'.
Dorothea and Manuela mainly corroborate how awful peasant life is in the Empire, where you're bathing in public fountains and drinking water from a gutter.
Leicester and Adrestia win because they have crests, you fucking buffoon. It's pretty much stated that crests are a godsend when it comes to war
So I just got punished Dimitri. Does he unfuck himself at some poimt?
user, now think of this: you hate a certain person to the bone for how they fucked up the world, and now finally you capture him. Do you immediately believe everything, hell anything he said? Esp when you alr have a preception that that guy is a liar?
And esp when the true story is the biggest dindu nuffin thing ever
This right here
BE absolutely ruins the build up to most of the twists in the game
Frankly, they probably should have made it so CF was a NG+ only route, since the lack of cutscenes, short length, and limply presented plot points really weakens it if you haven't played BL or even GD first.
We never know that for sure, and I’m not exactly sure why Rhea would willingly divulge the information that would completely upheave the social order of Fodlan to the person she witnessed defile her family’s sacred resting place. She’d likely just spit in her face
Yeah, you should appreciate his edgy critical quotes while you can
Well yeah it’s the medieval fucking ages. The thing is relative to the other two piers on the continent I’m not sure if it’s explicitly worse than them, especially Faerghus. Maybe Leicester is better off
And listening to the story of your cuckold of a father and the ones who tortured you in a basement for years is any better? Even if you don't believe her, the opportunity to talk to a 1000 year old entity that witnessed all the important events of history isn't something to be ignored.
Yes.
... what? The crest (and relic) concentration in the Empire is the lowest. They pretty much only have the Saints’. Yet they fucked the invader enough to turn Brigid into a vassal state, and Dagda messy enough that Shamir has to seek employment in Fodlan
Alliance’s case is fair tho. Its stated that everything the Almyran come all 3 countries banded together. Holst holding the Throat well enough for the past few decade tho
In Ferdinand and Petra's support, you find out Ferdinand believes they won due to geographical advantages, crests, or sheer numbers because the weapons/fighting techniques of Dagda/Brigid are superior.
Likewise, Almyra doesn't really try fullscale invasion against the Alliance, they do it as a rite of passage for shits and giggles, and they also have a geographical disadvantage with Fodlan's locket funneling them to a single chokepoint.
Brigid's a tiny-ass island nation too, Dagda was the main force of that war.
If Edelgard is so pro-human and xenophobic to everyone else, she wouldn't be listening to inhuman Slitherer lies, let alone thinking her dragon-infused blood makes her fit to rule humanity when she's not human herself like the rest of the Crest-bearers.
>The crest (and relic) concentration in the Empire is the lowest
But they have the best and biggest army in the continent.
Why would Rhea talk? She doesn't even tell Seteth shit. She only opens up to people AFTER being a captive for years.
Hahaha
I'm still waiting for a picture of Edelgard and Nemesis going
>My ancestor :)
Yeah, but i was adressing the
>they win cus crests
Tho
How do I find a girlfriend like Annette?
The Emperor's Heresy originating from the slitherers is specualtion, and either way would not be something she's aware of.
The information Rhea withholds doesn't make much of a difference in the grand scheme of things. Ultimately, it seems like Edelgard's assumption that Rhea must be lying to cover up her own misdeeds that drives her to sperg out more than anything.
You would have had to know her already while you're both in school.
>she loses the red stockings in the timeskip
I don't give a fuck about anything else, this is her greatest crime
>Likewise, Almyra doesn't really try fullscale invasion against the Alliance, they do it as a rite of passage for shits and giggles, and they also have a geographical disadvantage with Fodlan's locket funneling them to a single chokepoint.
Also Holst, if they survive VS the ultimate Gigachad Maximus they get to throw a party, Almyrans love to party.
This. There's no true option for humanity to be truly free from the mole lies and the dragon influence. All the Lords available are Crest-infested abominations with tainted lizard blood, or worse, an actual vessel of a so-called "divine" dragon. People talk about winners in this game, but humanity loses in all 4 routes.
It absolutely does make a difference. She’d probably still want the church gone or dramatically reformed but she’d be a looooooot more sympathetic.
Of course that’s the tragic irony of it all. Even if Rhea did tel her I doubt she’d believe it
The difference is that one group didn't blow up a bunch of people.
Well the Alliance didn't have much control over things.
>either way would not be something she's aware of.
But Thales exists and is proof of slitherer infestation in the empire. Even Dimitri was realizing the slitherers could replace people
Yeah, but the big difference is that's the status quo for what the Empire's like. They're already unified, and have different royal families in charge of different aspects like minister of commerce, minister of military, etc. for generations, still going on.
Kingdom's in a way rougher patch and the worst we've got is an orphan kid who stole to take care of his siblings being taken in as an adopted son by the lord of the land he tried to steal from and taught to read. Or hated minority that's a commoner son of a blacksmith being righthand man to the heir of the kingdom.
>Thales straight up calls Nemesis a thief before the timeskip
>Edelgard is confused and wonders what the fuck he's talking about
>lol don't worry about it retard just keep going
She's such a goddamn tool it's amazing. Even in BL/GD her only purpose is to serve as a common enemy for others to unite the continent again
>People talk about winners in this game, but humanity loses in all 4 routes.
Fact: the dubsteppers are the only pro-human, chaoschad faction
Byleth's creation and identity would be a huge revelation.
>General Holst meets Nader the Undefeated - Painted by Ignatz Victor shortly after the war
>chaoschad
yeah if you're still in fucking middle school
I'm who you replied to, and I agree with you.
This "sympathetic Rhea" BS assumes that I'm ok with condemning an entire race of people for shit that happened before any of them were born.
>but she's so stunning and brave for not genociding everyone for killing her blah blah blah
Get higher standards for your religious leaders.
>I'm ok with condemning an entire race of people for shit that happened before any of them were born.
Who does she condemn? She only hates humanity in BE because she's witnessing a direct repeat of what happened 1000 years ago
So how long was Edelgard in the rape basement with uncle Thales anyway?
>The best general in all of Fodlan has pink hair.
They literally mindfucked her doujin style
And the Emperor's History is presented as something literally no one has any access to other than the Emperor.
There's subtle and then there's reaching.
Bold of you to assume most of Yea Forums isn't in middle school
I dunno about them but i'm about to turn 31, married and have a daughter on the way.
It happened right after she returned to the Empire which was shortly after Arundel got SLITHER’D and caused the ToD
If this situation was reversed, you know humanity would be committing genocide against any alien or non-human species if they posed a threat to us. Hell, Edelgard pretty much us kills all the known dragons in her route.
poor girl
Wait until Edelgard sees this image. She will murder you for not deleting this immediately. The people she chose to be in power all agree with her choices and how smart she is. She knows meritocracy
I know that but how long was it until she was released?
Congrats user, happy for you. Don't let this place get to you too much
Too bad she's bisexual. Miss me with that gay shit.
I've been coming here for nearly 15 years. I fucking love it here.
Killing Seteth and Flayn is completely optional
Direct repeat and then-some, given her sketchy homonculus's kid she saved the life of at the request of the mother DID somehow fuse with Rhea's mother but overtook her personality and proceeded to use her power to join with Nemesis 2.0 to explicitly try and kill her.
All while they complaining about the powers of the blood stolen from her genocided race and blaming her for it.
>implying that Hubert would let them survive and didn't off them offscreen somewhere, even if they go into hiding.
That’s left kinda unclear. Hate how vague the timeline for stuff like that is
>The people she chose to be in power
this is the part that really makes me hate her, she doesn't institute any checks and balances like Claude and Dimitri does. She just kills shit and expects everything to work out in her favour, hell, even Ferdinand has to tell her just offing the crestbearers and the dragons won't suddenly make the plebs equal and suggests public education.
Complete headcanon but alright.
Hubert isn’t even all that ruthless to non slitherfags in CF. You’re also ignoring Byleth’s Influence on both of them
That's because Ferdinand actually bothers to study how shit works and isn't a mind raped puppet for reptilians
Only if you're fighting against them using Byleth. If you attack them with anyone else, they're dead. And Edelgard doesn't even mind if they die.
there's no way that many people died, is there?
Edelgard killed the only anti-missile dragon in Fodlan.
Enjoy your nukes.
>Ferdinand annoyingly tries to one-up Edelgard every waking minute during school
>would actually be a better ruler because he has a functioning adult brain
What a twist
Dimitri’s kingdom is one retarded prince away from falling into a disheveled mess.
ofc if you stare hard enough with biased lenses that each ending is going to have flaws. This is a ridiculous argument
she doesn't have good faith growth
That hypothetical does not increase Rhea's position as sympathetic at all, just drags normal people through the mud like always.
And just because she establishes a deep state doesn't mean she isn't commiting acts of violence.
Now you dumbasses are arguing she's MORE sympathetic in the one route she burns a whole village full of people.
>get betrayed at every possible opportunity by humanity
>still face tanks a nuke for them
she's too good for our garbage species tbqh
>NOOOO HE HAS A COCK SO IT DOESNT COUNT!
Now this is headcanon
Irrelevant when they are thoroughly wiped off the face of the earth. And BL is soooo much better with Shambhala wholly intact right?
It's a good thing there's a new immortal archbishop with time powers that can keep everything under control in case someone goes off the deep end.
In BE you're just Edelgard's good goy
they're never actually stated to be completely defeated in any route. Even in Deer they come back
wait, are you saying that 20 minutes of cutscenes in a JRPG isn't enough writing to establish an ironclad system of governance?!
Not really, as far as the respective leaders of most noble families that you know of go, they have a lot of shit in order there.
Just, you know, it's kinda hard to recover during a continent-scale war where the neighboring empire directly supports a coup in said kingdom and occupies the western half.
Only from professor Byleth.
That's true for Edelgard as well. Who decides who is most fit for any position in her meritocracy? She does. And her successor after that.
Where in your precious epiloge does it state that the slithers don't nuke Fodlan before getting destroyed?
BL at least has Rhea around.
>Edelgard defeats them in the epilogue with no consequences shut up
>Dimitri will surely face consequences after killing their entire leadership
>Claude still has to repel remnants after BTFOing them harder than anyone else
The endings are the shittiest part of this game, why do anons care so much about comparing different types of shit
>Replacing one immortal dragon archbishop with another
>good.
And as we see when he gets chucked off a canyon cliff Byleth is strong but he’s not omnipotent. What is stopping a future slitherfag Force (y’know, since Shambhala is still untouched) from having a redux of what happens preskip
I’m really just playing devil’s advocate to show how fucking retarded these ending arguments are, just accept the endings as they are instead of trying to paint them as something they’re not according to your biases
It would be easier to recover if your leader cared more about his people than his hate boner for his ex.
Ferdinand says as much in the other routes.
What the fuck is his problem?
Of course it is, I’m not denying that at all. I wouldn’t even argue that of all the systems that history has shown hers is the most likely to come across issues
It’s still asinine to say with 100% certainty that it happens though
>what the fuck is a character arc
Edelgard won't spare him some coochie so he's stuck orbiting her for the rest of time
He is part of the house that has 3/4 characters be assholes
>be Edelgard's loyal beta orbiter since childhood
>get dropped for the autismo professor she knew for a year
pathetic
he's fucking insane
Rate my character tiers.
>S tier
Byleth, Lysithea, Dimitri, Ingrid, Felix, Leonie, Claude
>A tier
Edelgard, Mercedes, Manuela, Hanneman, Lindhardt, Sylvain, Alois, Catherine, Petra
>B tier
Marianne, Annette, Gilbert, Seteth, Shamir, Caspar, Ashe, Hubert
>C tier
Ignatz, Raphael, Dedue, Ferdinand
>D tier
Flayn, Dorothea
>He doesnt have more chances of getting married to her than Byleth who doesnt even sleep in the same bed as her because he is a commoner
He's got a strange sense of loyalty considering he often goes against her orders.
He's intelligent, nihilistic and has a wicked sense of humor.
Do you really think Shambhala is the end-all, be-all? It's a place you storm in one map and the major thing is you kill Thales there. Dude's already dead in BL, the means to revive Nemesis are used up in BL, and Rhea's still alive in BL if they somehow manage to use nukes without Thales. What's Shambhala gonna do, throw out their handful of mechs they already crushed when they retook the Kingdom capital?
>Dedue and Ferdinand in C
>Marianne, Annette and Seteth only in C
>FLAYN IN D
>Leonie in S
terminally shit taste
yeah, what she needs are simpering worthless yes-men.
HE IS「LITERALLY ME」!
>Leonie and Dimitri in S
You are ba
>Dedue in D
>Edelgard in A
You were close.
She's Bylethsexual.
why do all their weapons look so fucking retarded
yurifaggots snatched her away already
Flayn is objectively the worst character in the game. She does not excels at anything and is straight up bad at everything /Yes there's a difference between mediocrity and being bad)
>"BUT SHE HAS FORTIFY"
Yeah so fucking what? It doesn't outweighs the fact that she has the weakest heals, weakest damage and weakest defense in the game. At least other mages can survive 2 attacks. Flayn gets bodied by literally everyone in the game.
Doing the chapter 5 mission on maddening, is it ok to let Gilbert die or will he be unrecruitable after? Playing blue lions
they're bones
Wyvern Lord Edelgard is the strongest character in the game my dude
Oh it's gameplay, then you should take Lysithea and Sylvain down and put Shamir and Seteth higher up.
You lose nothing if he dies.
Why do people not think that Dimitri is S rank? He literally dodges like 40 out of 41 attacks and 1 hits everyone. Crit rate is insanely high too.
They're made out of dragon body parts
And eventually, that's what he does in BL path, and in BE path the coup doesn't happen and both him and the Kingdom are generally better off besides the 5-year stalemate defensive war going on.
You can be loyal without being a yes man
why do other class members follow dimitri command in other routes, he is a fucking lunatic and actually retarded, in BL it makes sense people to follow sensei cock and not giving a shit about dimitri, even felix says that his lunacy is going to lead everyone to death which is what happens if you dont play BL
Why can't I find any Edlegard lewds?
They ripped out dragon parts and turned them into weapons.
The names bother me more. Freikugel is a magic bullet made by the devil that always hits, in TH it's a fucking axe with low accuracy.
Dorothea is a fucking asshole. Shes one of the worst characters in the game
Hmm, so just shower them with gifts and meals until B Rank? I hope I'm able to get that done fast enough before the timeskip. My Byleth's going to windup a jack-of-all-trades at this point, trying to appease everyone. Thank you for the help! Now just to hope I can actually get my Byleth play messiah and save everyone.
They're made out of Rhea's friends and relatives
Because despite his craziness, his group is the only one mounting any kind of counteroffensive against Edelgard.
Characters essential to the story don't die
Nah. Galeforce axe is one thing, but you can accomplish as much with a simple warp/stride with others.
Claude was actively fighting against the empire in BL
Is it true that if a character dies, the others will comment about his death next time you go to the monastery?
>mentally ill
If your tiny peanut brain hasn't noticed yet, mental illness is kinda a big part of the game. Edelgard, Dimitri and Rhea are all mentally ill. Its a pretty big theme in the game
You can't get some characters up to B rank pre timeskip (Ferdinand and at least one other one), so focus on those skills first.
Warps are a limited resource, moreso than Edel's Galeforce availability.
Not really, he's more fighting to keep the Alliance held together so that Edelgard can't invade them as easily. He's not bolstering forces or seeking out new alliances, or taking Empire-controlled territories at all. Even solo-Dimitri in the 5 year timeskip was probably killing more imperials in Empire-controlled territory than Claude's army was.
Ferdinand and Caspar, so if you chose BE you're good.
Fuck tha inconsistency btw.
Oh goddamnit, Casper was one of the characters I was aiming for, even have him as a guest for this month's battles. Suppose I'll need to switch out to someone else once the time has passed. Maybe Ashe, or Petra, since they're other characters I like. Playing GD right now.
>She does not excels at anything and is straight up bad at everything /Yes there's a difference between mediocrity and being bad)
She excels in resist, ignore the temptation of making her a mage and focus on a riding or flying class to buff her defense and attack. It won't make her great but she will at least be usuable.
Don't fall for the meme of making her a dancer, dragon pulse invalidates the need for it. And don't make her a pure mage since each route gives you two.
uh, yeah I think thats what hes saying. You would be less afraid of conflict if you weren't such a limp dicked weak loser lmao
Swap dimitri with edelgard, she is much better
Annete is fucking dogshit, replace her with dorothea, ateast you can meteor meme with her
Dedue and raphael are terrible, probably the only character you can rightfully place on D tier, gilbert should go here too, flayn alteast has some nice staff utility
There should be a SS tier for catherine
Ingrid should not be S tier with 35% str growth, she is C or B tier if im being generous, she is worse than leonie in every single aspect
But you're going to either use it to push in to do more damage on enemy phase, where galeforce isn't happening, or you're using it to take out key targets like commanders or long range enemies, which most strong units can accomplish in the one turn.
Edelgard doesn't pull off anything particularly special for enemy phase, leaves her feeling more risky than Dimitri and Claude at least.
You can save Caspar for a BL run, he has a unique paralogue battle with Mercedes on that path. Sorta easier to recruit than most because he wants Brawling/Str, and Byleth's proficient in Brawling and generally gets good Str.
It actually makes the most sense for a lot of characters to follow Dimitri.
Petra, Caspar, Ferdinand and Bernadetha have literally no reason to follow Edelgard
with argument lysithea should be trash tier because of the 20 hp and 10 defense growth
mages should never see enemy phase, and if they do you are playing wrong
>Hahahahaha I'll use the weapons made from your whole family to kill everybody and have the Empire rule everything
>WTF? WHY IS RHEA MAD?
Well if your Lys has sufficient mag (and not that bad of a hp growth) you can nosferatu tank enemy phase. The healing literally bring her back to full
Its pretty damn hilarious thoo
Petra's nation is held hostage by the Empire, she can't turn her back on them or Brigid is toast.
Bernie is too much of a coward to be proactive in any sense. If she betrays Edelgard, it'd be to hide and desert, not to join with the enemy.
Plot contrivance.
They dont follow Dimitri, they follow (you)
that would imply using nosferatu on player phase since you cannot swap spells with trades, also she would still get doubled and maulered to death
>Bernadetta
>Caspar
idiots who probably went "muh sensei"
>Petra
she literally says she wants Edelgard to respect her country and she thinks the Empire will win
>Ferdinand
the most iffy, you can argue his opinion on advising means he wanted to stick around
That's why Bernie should be protected.
So if the Sauna is coming in the third wave, what the fuck are the facilities being added in the fourth wave?
>that D tier
Great but it lacks Cyril
>that C tier
Of those only Ignatz is worthy, and Dedue since you did post Ingrid
Partially. It only happens when you recruit someone from other house and then you kill someone from their original house. I.e Dorothea will say some shit like she can't believe that you had to kill Ferdinand. But they don't make comments outside of that. For example Seteth will never comment on Flayn's death, which is pretty lame.
>she literally says she wants Edelgard to respect her country and she thinks the Empire will win
Only if we count the supports, yeah. But every other case, Petra resents her status as a hostage and if she thinks fighting to topple the Empire will free Brigid, she absolutely will betray Edelgard.
>Ignatz
>C tier
Ignatz carries on Maddening.
Petra's nation is not held hostage, Petra is.
Brigid is a vassal state of the empire. This does not mean that if Petra betrays Edelgard, the entirety of Brigid will be destroyed. It's the other way around, Brigid is supposed to be complacent so that Petra's head doesn't roll off.
If you recruit Petra into other house, she'll mention how she hated the empire for kidnapping her.
Ofc if you let 3+ enemies touching your backline you have failed. Just saying that shes perfectly capable of handling some strays/pass reinforcement
And tb h with her retard mag growth + thrysus i still 70%-1hko enemies with nosferatu in player phase anyway, even in maddening. 6 mag from fiendish blow is definitely too much
Man, Yea Forums really is just a bunch of bitter righties. I wonder why video games attract so many of these people.
It's quite obvious even in her own route that Edelgard is the villain. Even she is surprised when you join her.
>righties
Edelgard is a closer to a left wing figure though
His character itself brings him down for 99% of people even if his hard mode usefulness didn't already
>idiots who probably went "muh sensei"
Caspar's father is a genocidal maniac, whom Caspar despises. He makes no intention of hiding this in the few times that he mentions this. He's also like the 7th son or something so he has no inheritance.
When you recruit Caspar, he tells you that he doesn't want to take part in a massacre.
Bernadetta wants a quiet life so she's not a fan of being drafted into a war by Edelgard and having her declared a commander of her territory.
>she literally says she wants Edelgard to respect her country and she thinks the Empire will win
Yeah only if she stays in BE. If she goes to any other house she'll explicitly says she hates Edelgard and the empire.
Ferdinand's family (you know, the thing he constantly brags about) is stripped of ALL power when Edelgard takes the throne. The empire has no need for prime ministers so their usefulness is removed. Additionally, Edelgard wants to remove the nobility. Ferdinand has all the reasons to go against her.
>Ignatz carries on Maddening
If the rest of your team is filled with shitters, maybe.
At the absolute worst I think she’s an anti villain/well intentioned extremist. There’s a big difference between being a villain and being an antagonist.
The 100% objectively villainous group is TWSITD.
Edelgard is absolutely not right wing.
Ferdinand’s Dad is a corrupt fat cunt so is that really all that surprising?
Seriously aside from maybe Caspar and Lindhart’s parents the noble heads of the empire are made out to be complete dickheads. Hell Ferdinand doesn’t even deny his dad proooobably deserves his fate, even if Arundel frames him for flagrant negligence
>Ferdinand's family (you know, the thing he constantly brags about) is stripped of ALL power when Edelgard takes the throne.
Ferdinand also says maybe he deserved it.
When was the last time a Nintendo character assblasted this many people on Yea Forums?
At this point I want her in Smash just to watch the meltdown from both Fire Emblem fans AND smash players
I finished the game yesterday and avoided Yea Forums like plagues the last two months since posting spoilers on the OP is pretty much a sport.
Anything fun bound to the game happened there?
We already have Roy and Corrin, might as well finish the trinity of awful lords.
Caspar's father is explicitly mentioned to have started a genocide. How are you saying that he's not a dickhead?
Yeah, his father, not him. Ferdinand doesn't want to lose power.
edelgard is far beyond those two though
Just the usual discussion and art.
2 months straight of “Edelgard is bad”
Honestly, its tiring. I just want to discuss gameplay and the other lore bit
You just know it's coming.
Ferdinand earns his position back in CF’s epilogue though. Hell hes one of the few pairing where Edelgard explicitly has children
2 months straight of "Edel dindu nuffin"
>edelgard
>awful
Only according to female and LGBT players, her popularity amongst males is actually the highest out of the three lords.
damn, I spoil myself too much in this thread
>the duality of man.jpeg
Dude, your propaganda is spilling.
Conservative values are what you protect in any non Edelgard route, fuck it even the open borders guy becomes Almyran Trump king of reformation, diplomacy and legal immigration.
Edelgard is nothing but a fascist communist wet dream, you read that right fascism isn't a phenomenon explicit to conservative or right wing governments, if anything fascism has been used 3:1 more times by leftist totalitarian regimes, outside of Spain, Mexico and Italy there were very few right wing totalitarian regimes
>opening threads for games you haven't finished
Stop making this mistake.
Caspar is a kino character to recruit for the blue lions. No idea why people don't like him
Made by obvious false flag shitposters because you August’s literally cannot contain yourselves when an antagonist that isn’t a comically evil mustache twirler like Garon or Validar comes into play.
If nintendo did a survey of people who actually played the game instead of coomers and gacha fags she wouldn't even be top twenty
He is really one note and punching outside of enemy phase is very limited in maddening.
Stuff like Raphael make him near obsolete considering just how fucking flexible he is, unless you are Hilda or Felix having negative authority growths fucks you badly.
More like retarded waifufags can't handle that the shilled girl isn't a perfect saint so they desperatly pretend she's good
Left wing ideology and fascism are incompatible seeing as the ideological crux of left-wing ideology, be it authoritarian or libertarian, is the abolition of hierarchies, which are one of Eco's defining features for fascism.
Fascists are all totalitarian, but not all totalitarians are fascist.
Because he's very boring and has a really annoying voice.
Ashe's voice actor is bad. Caspar's voice actor is good, but the voice sucks.
If nothing else it's a great study of the demographic shift the site has undergone. Yea Forums circa the Ron Paul/Anonymous years would never fawn over a totalitarian theocratic state or willingly bend over to be ruled by a literal reptoid illuminati
Being an edgy internet contrarian in 2006 meant hating on Bush, neocons and evangelicals and pearl clutchers like jack thompson trying to ban Vidya. Now apparently being contrarian means being a registered republican, attending church every Sunday and throwing a $20 in the collection plate while arguing against titties in Vidya because they're degenerate
We literally just had a pool of players who completed the game and she was 6th. And she’s still the most deployed lord according to in game statistics despite having some of the worst availability
I see that.
It must have been fun
Imagine being this delusional when she and every girl in Eagles (and Lysithea who is an automatic recruit in Crimson Flower) top the deployment charts
in maddening she straight up gets one shot by most enemies if you do not proc thrysus, and you are not one shotting anything if you are using nosteratu atleast not in maddening
But Edelgard flirts with Dorothea. She's 100% (((bisexual))).
I don’t even give a fuck if fags think Edelgard is a villain. She is still a more interesting character than schizo murderhobo turned omega moralfag and bitchmade atheist hippie mutt who has Corrin esque powers of bending the narrative to make him look competent
Fascism uses propaganda and group think to foster their control.
Any group can make use of this, left wing ideas do it more and have done it a lot since the advent of Marx.
Do your research, even fucking Mexico of all places recognizes that fascism is a way of controlling the population through education, media and brutal repercussions to silence others, we know that because we had our own two fascists that found ways to re-elect themselves or have a puppet government twice.
I hope this post was ironic.
I want a fascist gf so bad
You are so far up your own ass it's hilarious. Claude is a left wing liberalist who wants to abolish borders and Dimitri is a centrist to a fault who wants to respect but improve the status quo. Did you even play the game?
Meanwhile, Edelgard is the only leader actively trying to uproot a well functioning regionally representative political system to introduce her own totalitarian capitalist empire where crests are replaced with a false meritocracy doomed to default to economical prowess as a measure of power. Ring a bell? Do you need her to build a border wall with Dagda before you'll concede?
In the blue lions he gets tons of in battle dialogue with the BE enemies you fight and outside of it him worrying about dimitri killing him during his edgelord phase is really funny
you have no idea what you're talking about
Again my dude, just using propaganda and group think is not enough to make a state fascist, that's simply an element of totalitarian governments - and would include pretty much every large government in the world including the US. Fascism is described by a strict series of binding tenets. Just using propaganda is not enough to make you fascist, and the spirit of egalitarianism, the very base of left wing ideology, is antithesis to fascism.
Plenty of scholars have written about what fascism is and how it comes to be, I highly suggest you read Eco.
>Do you need her to build a border wall with Dagda before you'll concede?
Dagda is an island
>Begone foul miscreation!
YOUR A BEE FERDIE
>left wing liberal
It's a different thing when you're the literal race you're pushing for then trying to get spic votes
He ends up giving himself up so that his men can survive unscathed after Merceus falls
He gets rally speed at D, he could never make a single attack the entire playthrough and still be more valuable on maddening than half of the other team's rosters
It's serious, making Flayn a dedicated mage is redundant. If you don't want to spend the extra time fighting against her riding stat go the flying route. But she's more useful with extra defense and movement.
This isn't about making her great, it's about salvaging a unit that truthfully doesn't have the class she needs to shine. Which would be a Falcon knight with magic usage.
I just like him because he's goddamn cute.
>Falcon knight with magic usage
>Hubert, Dorothea, Linhardt, Annette, Lorenz, and Manuela are all useless because Canto Lys exists
It'd be a wish, but also a deathwish
Behold. Non-arguments when confronted with the truth. This is the political intelligence of your average Yea Forumsirgin.
not a single clue
I think the clue here is (You)s
I just hope the DLC adds a master class that uses swords for Felix and Catherine
Mortal Savant is great for Felix.
My main problem is that I had nowhere for Sylvain to go. He just sits in Paladin for the whole endgame.
>Freikugel is a magic bullet made by the devil that always hits
Eh?
>dudue and raphael are bad
They are some of the best units in the game both out preform edelgard and dont even have a crest.
>have absurdly high stats
>have low resistance
>feed them all the resistance buff you get
>now they have no weakness
its some opera thing involving devils and guns
Mortal Savant has negative growth and is honestly trap, better off just staying at Swordmaster
The only character who could really make use of Mortal Savant to the fullest would be Edelgard since she's got more MAG than Dimitri and Claude put together on top of being just as much of a gorilla, but she'll succeed at literally every class no matter what anyways
That's my favorite thing about making the archers level as assassins
>dex and speed so high they have to get those on level ups
>enemies can't double them so enemies don't often target them
>give them a bunch of attack then they double shit often as a bow knight holding a brave bow
