if you're aggressive in your conquests you should get enough satisfaction boni to get them all early on

It's more about how ashigaru are NOT samurai. In the Japanese version the job is called bushi, which translates to warrior so it makes perfect sense. Pretty sure the fan patch kept it that way too. Calling it samurai is like calling it paladin or shaolin monk.

no, if you're having trouble pushing against the demons then you just have to survive. After a while the game takes pity on you and fastforwards you to the final battle.

It's really hit or miss. In some scenes it looks great. Like Teru's. Even Ryouma's oni rape looks good. And then there are scenes like the one you mentioned where it doesn't even look human.

The h-scene would only happen if you conquer them normally BEFORE the temple event, which also locks you out of seigan joining you.

Ikkyu and Tourin can easily do it if you've got one of them sitting in your prison. Otherwise Kenshin, Uruza, Natori, Leila, Footsoldier, best ranged dps is probably your best bet.

he's invincible after being demonized. He can win defense battles with 1 troop(himself).

There are many combos, like a very strong ashigaru who has nuliffying damage armor minimizing their damage while you do a lot, Lucky assasinations ( Yuzumi, Isoroku,ninjas), Tacticians with Battle rating Up/down, Ikkyu witty comeback, Uruza/Kenshin minimizing actions and giving you more time to do damage, Seigan using Reaper Scythe, Shoun doing diviner bullshit, using Sabotage or characters with battle prepation to gain more advantage or simply having some other Bullshit units yourself, like the Takeda squad

I really wouldn't suggest using a strict guide like that. In the end while there is a lot to learn and master with the game, in the end one of the major elements of the game remains adapting to what the RNG hands you.

You can actually cripple an enemy to the point where they can't afford to restore their troops. In addition to this killed and captured commanders naturally don't return. In longer battles, if you just deal enough damage you can actually render the enemy unable to keep fighting.

I should have clarified - it's my 1st run since reinstalling the game, I played Sengoku once before already, although I finished only initial playthorugh (the one with 0 score). Now I am going for 100%, all routes, cgi's etc. Right now I am on 0 score playthorugh (the one when you play the game for first time).

If you send Kentarou they'll draw and Kentarou will gain three levels, you can repeat this as many times as you like and slap shit with a level 99 Kentarou if you feel like it. When you want to progress the plot send out your generic to get killed like a dumbass, then Rance will come up with a plan to beat him for good. Also if you have Souun you can kill him on the spot in an awesome scene

the more houses you conquer the longer it takes, since not only are there fewer houses to recruit commanders, but also there's more ronin polluting the recruitment pool.
if you want to do it in a decent amount of time you basically have to make a run dedicated solely to unlocking it where you start off with strong bonuses and then fight takeda almost right away.

VI is a good game, but it's also pretty straightforward JRPG. So There's not really lots of tactics or game-state to discuss, like with Sengoku.
Quest is more freeform, so hopefully we can get threads for that when it releases.

It's not worth it trying to capture Takeda guys in normal playthrough. Setup a NG+ save file for it, and only do that, so you'll get their House Bonus.

The trick is to take every Alicesoft Bonus Character, and One-Eye Bonus. That should give you enough good commanders to handle them with some planning. It helps that Takeda commanders always attack in same order, so you should know who to put against whom.

Kichikuou is the game who really clicked for me.

Omachi can solo entire armies in the early game. Sometimes Shouen will waste all his fans on a commander charge on the first turn, removing himself from the fight. Similarly, Yoshikage might waste all his fans on a failed assassination attempt (or try to target a unit that can't be assassinated in the first place). Tourin's AI can be exploited by bringing a tactician and removing his buffs, he'll spend his turns reapplying them instead of spamming Battle Rating Down. Bear in mind that with a fully loaded NG+ you'll have terrific units like Kenshin, Ai, Teru, Masamune and his wives, and some of the good bonus commanders like the diviner with All Guard Shikigami. It's tough but doable.

Spread that anus wide for Masakage, though.

Uesugi gives you two of the best commanders in the game, but if you attack them Takeda will swallow Houjou. To avoid this, first take Imagawa (they're pushovers) to access Houjou lands, then declare war on both Uesugi and Houjou in the same turn.

If they surrender then then they become a vassal state and you can't capture them. Minmaxing really takes the fun out of the game and you'll spend so much time just reloading saves until you get good RNG. You can get more action fans after reaching 50 satisfaction and using it on a bonus.

I finished a Kenshin route run yesterday, I must've played like 12 hours non-stop. I literally forgot to eat the entire day.

I've played those routes a bunch of times before but my goal now is to get a 100% save. There's a bunch of things I've never done, such as Capture Agireda, Demon Miki route or Defeat Orochi.

Kenshin's route is the best one. Nobunaga is saved, Xavier is 100% fucked, Kou isn't raped. The only people you cannot save are Ran and Chinu because they still explode from the Apostles inside them.

I'm saving Orochi for last, I'll probably do a gamethrough just to clear the hardest dungeons. Which units do you guys recommend using?

Seigan is very hard to get. Basically, you need to defeat the Tenshi Sect/Tenshiism AFTER entering a route, which usually only happens after 5 gourds break. This is difficult because they declare war on you much earlier and they have that annoying mechanic to start uprisings, which force your hand to liquidate them fast.

The single most important thing to do early is get 50 satisfaction for the fan. I think the earliest you can do it is turn 13.

The art and girls are pretty good. The scenes are pretty tongue and cheek and are basic. The first playthrough you'll be reading most of the story/scenes but any following game you'll skip em.

X is great, variety in units spices things up a lot and there's an absurd amount of events and secrets and shit to do, you could play it dozens of times and still not see everything
Quest is okay but has some extremely annoying-ass mechanics like resetting everyone's levels down to 1 every time Rance rances them and long-ass dungeons that are pure battles of attrition

Yes, but they are different. Quest is like... JRPG in which you have lots of small missions, for which you have to assemble a crew with limited moves, and you have limited amount of character swaps. There's really no other games like it.

Ninjas are pretty good in dungeons thanks to their speed and ability to switch characters almost instantly. Other than that your usual strong characters with high level cap.

While I really do not like the choice of archfiend over demon lord, you have to admit that archfriend is a super cute pun on archfiend.

You probably won't get it that fast unless you deliberately use a walkthrough for it. I think using a walkthrough just to get an early extra fan is acceptable and then branching off and doing your own thing.

That was changed in Magnum. Only the first sex resets their level, and following ones bring their level down with 5 (and lowers the EXP required to get back to original level), but also boosts their level-cap, and powers up the unit. It also resets their assigned skill points, so you get lots of changes to respec characters and try different stuff.

In the beginning of the game Rance gets cursed with the most horrible of all curses, which has several different elements.
1. He can only fuck women that are over level 35. Anybody lower, and his Hyper Weapon won't get hard.
2. Any time he fucks somebody, their level gets reset, so getting high-level girls to agree to fuck him is hard. And he can't keep fucking the same one every time either.
3. If he goes too long without fucking anybody, he turns gay.

Obtain skill, dungeon explorer or something similar to that name, it reduces the amount of enemies you find in dungeons if Suzume is on the field.

Dungeon expert is good, but shuriken is also great as it let you disrupt diviners regardless of blocks.

To everyone playing their first playthroughs and finding 2k~3k troops a lot, this is what a 5* playthrough looks like. And this is not a castle battle, it's a field battle.

On this Kenshin run, I was at war with Mouri but I could not finish them. Beating them means dueling Mouri and, if you do it without uncursing Motonari, you it's instant game over because he kills Kenshin. The Demon Army took over Sakuga so I could never do the uncurse even, I basically had to tank Mouri attacks along with Takeda and Dokuganryuu for half of the game.

I finished it. Like I said, I am saving Orochi for last. I'll do a playthrough just to catch him.

Takeda commanders and the Shimazu are by far the hardest things to get. I don't remember if I got all 4 of them before. The one commander I am sure I never got was Agireda.

I think in the Ran route you get all four of them at the same time after an event. Though aside from being a completionist you literally have zero reason to clear them since they cuck you and absorb the female commander that they seduce into their own unit.
