This must cause normal level devs in these studios to leave the industry eventually right? I mean if you're a game developer, on some level you must want people to actually experience your game.
Imagine working in some shell studio where you spend years working on a game, then it releases and only like 50,000 people play it because you got the Epic money instead of sales from actual players.
It's not like those individual devs working at a studio are rolling around in millions from Epic, they're still just getting their normal salary except now no one is actually playing the games

The questions in the end remains wether you are making a game just to get Epic bucks like a glorified welfare system or actually trying to make it as a developer. Its kinda similar to Steam Greenlite where Shovelware keeps getting made so they can make a quick buck on Steam from idiots except in this case you also get guaranteed money. Indie Devs effectevily make games for Epic instead for customers.
