60 dollars for a remake is ridiculous. People will gladly fork it over because the original game was a thing of beauty and both parties know it but this is just greedy.

I actually liked BotW. I'd say it's my 2nd favorite Zelda game now after OoT. But the 2D handheld Zelda games have been awful for a long time now. ALBW was good but like I said, it had to literally copy a previous Zelda game just to make it decent. I dont see anyone saying Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks is their favorite Zelda game.

I actually meant 4 years ago with MM3D.
I'll admit BotW was a good change of pace, but they bloated the whole thing with reused assets instead of focusing on having good story/characters/music etc. It's a good game, but nowhere near the pinnacle of Zelda.

In the long term is doesn't mean much as Mario games tend to slow burn for the entire generation.
You'll notice shit like NSMB will always be 10th in the weekly charts which adds up to millions copies sold at the end of the console cycle.

It depends, Breath of the Wild has had better legs than Super Mario Odyssey. Might be a one-off but there's always the chance that the Zelda franchise as a whole has got that big now.
