I found its approach to delivering the BIGOTRY BAD message was pretty novel in proposing a solution instead of just saying RACISM BAD. Now with TLOU you get WOMEN STRONK, LESBIANS PPL TOO - oh by the way you’re gonna brutally murder people in graphic cinematic detail, quip about it, then go on to the next kill & quip. So human!!!! There’s sweet crafting too! Because something something lesbians. See the difference between subtle organic politics vs heavy handed? Politics absolutely can affect the quality of a game.

The fundamentals of the campaign made for one of the the more unique multiplayer implementations of that gen.
