>not enjoyed vidya in about a year
give me a good game from the past few years that will make me enjoy playing again.
>not enjoyed vidya in about a year
give me a good game from the past few years that will make me enjoy playing again.
My favorites of the last few years have been
Bloodstained
Lisa: the painful
Resident evil 7
I became really good friends with this guy I met a few weeks ago and we've been getting drunk and going to nightclubs on weekends. I can't enjoy vidya anymore, it doesn't even come close to getting fucked up and sleeping with random women.
this post was going so well until you ruined it and slept with women instead of your bro
Ignore every other faggot in this thread and just emulate Timesplitters 2 on dolphin in 4k. This is the only cure, trust me.
I admit, it would've been more kino if that were the case, but alas, it isn't. Still, feels good to have met someone who's so similar to me.
Prey.
you're going to be best buddies for about 2 years until you get tired of the clubbing life and realize you wasted all that time befriending a manlet who listens to Red Hot Chili Peppers just so you wouldn't feel lonely. I don't trust anybody who would rather go out every weekend instead of stay home and get shit-faced and watch fights. I've met these kind of guys a million times and they always end up draining you in the long run. you've been warned.
Minecraft with the RLcraft modpack.
We're both postgrad students at a good university, no one's dragging anyone down. Maybe I'll get tired of clubs after a couple years, but I am enjoying it now. All that time I've spent in the gym is finally paying off.
>gymcel
Like I said, have fun listening to Californication on his Pandora playlist for 2 years until you realize he's a faggot
>gymcel
But I am getting sex every week.
I don't really understand what you're trying to say though. We like heavy metal, not RHCP.
>we
you have no idea what you're in for man. best of luck.
Why do you keep responding to those obvious shitposts?
Anyway, have you played RDR2? I know people have sunk 100+ hours into that game.
>you have no idea what you're in for man
You keep posting these cryptic messages but you have yet to post anything that makes sense to me.
The way I see it, I am wasting more time on this dumpster fire website than I am going to clubs on weekends.
Ace Combat 7
I don't own the game, only played it at my cousin's house from time to time. I enjoyed it, but I am not sure if I would have fun doing a long continuous playthrough.
heroes 3 my man
It's not, games, it's you. Trust me I've been there.
You started this thread asking for games you'd enjoy. I recommend a game to you. You said you played it somewhat and enjoyed it. But you're not going to get it because you don't already own it? What the fuck do you want from us? Fuck off
Oh, I thought you were asking me, not the OP
let me spell it out for you: I don't know how old you are, but unless you were a fag in your late teens / early 20s, by the time you're getting close to 30, you realize the partying life is vapid and boring and you want something more meaningful because you spent the better part of your early adulthood doing that shit and it gets tiring as fuck after a few years. but, if you've never experienced it till you're older, you're going to think it's the fucking shit for a few years and then it's going to hit you like a brick and you'll realize that the only people who still want to be doing that after 25 are an emotional drain who will bring you down. hey, I could be wrong, maybe you've met your best buddy and you'll spend the next 50 years of your life blowing snow on casino bathroom counter tops, but most likely you'll just get tired of each other and move on. like I said, word to the wise. just remember what some fag on a forum told you when you have your inevitable realization.
I thought you were the OP. This is where IDs would have come in handy.
Eh, I honestly can't think of anything else I would rather do on weekends. I study hard enough, can't think of anything more "meaningful" than that.
As I said, maybe I'll get bored of this after a couple years and we won't be friends anymore, but so what? My dad's job requires him to move every few years, I've never had a friend for more than 1-2 years in school. 3 years maximum in my undergrad.
>give me a good game from the past few years that will make me enjoy playing again.
Chose your poison:
>Factorio
if you want really addictive, mechanics-only focused game that will allow you burn away hours upon hours without even realizing how fast time flies.
>Pathologic 2
If you want the opposite: super-engrossing story full of mysteries, murders, betreyals, old legends, creepy creatures, old friendships and cute and beautiful damsels. It's challenging, stresfull, harsh, but beautiful and rewarding, and it does not sacrifice player agency.
>Subnautica
If you want just to explore. It's not an amazing game mechanically, but if you feel like you just want to immerse yourself in a completely new world, without many distraction, and just explore what is behind the next corner, in the next cave, Subnautica is arguably the best on the market.
>Dusk
If you want just blood-pumping action. It's a fast paced shooting and showering in gore reduced to the most bare minimum, and then polished to a mirror shine.
>Prey
If you want more thoughtful game that rewards ballance between exploration, action, and puzzle solving, and the occasional massive power-trip, if you feel so inclined. It's the kind of game that rewards exploitation, thinking outside of the box: the sort of game that allows you to feel like you have really outsmarted it.
Have fun.
not the guy who posted, but honestly its just an outlet like any other, its not like playing videogames is that rewarding in the long run either
It looks like you're advocating against going out on the weekends, and that's just stupid, if he's got the time to do so, what's the big deal?
i wish i could go back to getting fucked up on the weekends, but when i got together with my GF it just became mostly impossible, specially with a kid on the way
you just gotta enjoy the little things in life, no matter how cliche that sounds its actually true, if you're enjoying something that's not harmful i don't see why that's a bad thing, even if he gets tired of it later on
20 fps and kills my cpu
wtf kind of specs you need to run that
>but im having sex
He fell for the incel meme
good now have children
Jesus man, you write like some kind of press release with downs syndrome.
Yea Forums, the only board where people get genuinely angry if someone recommends games in a thread made by a guy who asks for game recommendations.
Meanwhile, talking about working out and getting laid is perfectly fine.
Trails of Cold Steel
Starcraft 2
Outer Wilds
Hollow Knight
>tfw played this for about an hour and didn't get the hype
what's so good about it
I can tell you what I gathered from a perspective of someone who also did not enjoy it, but likes to take an impartial look at games:
When it comes to metroidvanias, it's about as good as it gets. The controls are crisp and smooth, there is a ton of variety, and what is most important for this kind of games, the progression is really, really well thought through.
Metroidvanias have a rather specific gameplay loop with rather specific appeal. The gradual unlocking of tools and world results in a very unique form of satisfaction of how it "all comes together".
And Hollow Knight understands this perfectly. If it is something you are looking for, I can understand that this is a game really worth playing.
Sadly, while I get the theory of it, I just don't enjoy the platforming/2D combat too much. It's by no means badly done, it's just something that does not excite me.
And if you are like me, and just don't enjoy the core gameplay loop, then the game won't grab you.
In other words: it's a really well made game, but for a somewhat specific audience. Those who like these kinds of games will love it and praise it to all hell, but if you are not one of them...
>from the past few year
why though, I could recommend a lot of games, but they are retro
Hey, hey, what do you have against RHCP?
You're too old for video games, user.
