2 stages, several songs, Peach/Daisy moveset, every single character from the original Mario Party is fully playable. Spirits/trophies. There's enough, it is the spin-off afterall.

Piranha Plant is actually in mainline Mario games and it was very weird. Also don't ignore the fact that many series have 0 reps. I think they deserve one before Mario's roster filler starts making the cut.

Anything plant or wind based, probably any characters known for cheating if they are a support spirit.

I believe Sakurai stated he wants to mainly do third parties going forward, but he didn't say exclusively third party. My guess is what you said, mostly third party fighters with a couple Nintendo characters for good measure.

I was planning on using only Mario spirits. I already picked out the Standard Bike (since Waluigi is the one riding it in the art) and the Bob-Omb (because Waluigi is associated with Bob-Ombs) spirits, but I have no idea what the third one should be.

I hope he never makes it. Waluigi has a cool design but everything else about him is really boring. Maybe if he had his own spin off but until them he works just fine as an AT.
