this and pic related are pure kino.
Definitely not that one.
Shut the fuck up. P3's final boss, while tedious was KINO.
these, and gehrman
You kinda already posted it
>Japanese games only
Is this a stealth weeb thread?
Well in order to have a last boss it's more likely the game will be Japanese
Why are you so obsessed about Japanese games? No sane person gives a fuck.
you know what it is user
Kino, The Game, coming through!
The west can't design good boss fights. Too video gamey.
>Well in order to have a boss it's more likely the game will be Japanese
fixed
He played college ball, ya know
Ah yes, let's discuss western final boss fights.
Overrated
>can be skipped on accident
>kino
Shit taste.
For the music and nothing else
>accident
are you retarded? It's pretty clear what the real choice is
There is a more kino final boss battle in the megami tensei saga, by scale and battle theme alone.
youtube.com
git gud faget. literally allaround 10/10 master piece
I'm not talking about the choice, user.
youtube.com
Incorrect
only happens under very specific circumstances, chances of it happening without knowing what you're doing are very small
Came here to post this. Everything about this fight is burned into my mind.
Last map of the HLM2. It's a boss rush map so it counts.
The shota ending is the more traditionally Yoko Taro ending, with both surviving major characters dying in each other's blood, clutching at life futilely and pointlessly. It's hilariously bleak, but that really is to be expected.
The way he was screaming only for it to die down into whimpering really got me.
This fight on the ps2 is pure kino
This guy gets it. Easily the best moment in the game.
The false king fight has the better ost of all souls games
OK, now I see this is a weeb thread.
Name one good western boss fight
maybe if the west made good final boss fights
>being a legit westaboo
irony levels = off the chart.
I chosen A2. For the glory of mankind.
Almost every boss in this game
>Uncharted 4 final boss
Unironically kino and has as much interactivity as MGS4's final boss.
>battling for everyone's souls
>song is titled Battle for Everyone's Souls
Nothing that's turn based that's for sure.
post the music too, best track in the game
youtube.com
This looks gay as shit
gives me goosebumps
ps2 was based, we never gonna reach that level of new creative games
No u
FUCK YOU
Absolute cancer boss fight. just fucking dialogue all through out it. mechanically garbage, not challenging or interesting. it's so clear the "game" aspect was an afterthought. only thing worse was the lead up boss fight towards it. fucking hundreds of shitty minigames, cutscene interruptions, scripted events, screen clutter, heaps of mooks thrown in because the boss is boring as fuck on its own. man I don't think i've ever played such a shit game.
i dont what game this is but it looks really bad
This was so fucking cool the first time I saw it.
probably astral chain
A man of culture I see
That boss fight is actually hard though
>play xenogears
>one of my favorite of all time, until this day
>play xenosaga
>pure trash
>reluctant to ever touch games from that studio
>friends talk me into getting xc1
>play XC1
>really good but weak ending/last quarte
>play XCX
>inconsistent but really ps2 feel, alot of ideas thrown in, like it better then XC1
>play xc2
>absolute trash
why is monolith tsundere with me?
I don't like the boss itself but the theme is the greatest fucking thing in the entire franchise
I played Xenoblade 1 first and then worked my way through the others. IMO aside from some plot points the games are very inconsistent so they're just gonna try something new with each game. That being said XC2 is trash and saga has awful gameplay, and X is the best
>Japanese boss fights have no Q-
based and squarepilled
I chose 9s. That little bastard grew on me.
>The most kino final boss is somehow an old man with a spear, a sword and a gun wearing pajamas
How did they do it ?
that was a great boss though
did someone say kino
I fucking hate you xenosaga is not pure trash, it's not even trash please die die die die die
rather kill yourself with your advanced cyborg boob knife
Complete bullshit but kino
every day I am reminded that the best the genre has to offer has been overshadowed and forgotten
that was shit tho
infact every suikoden has shit final battles. The journey is the kino in those games
Final Zebraman was fucking Kino. Even the music was awesome
I'll agree with you in battle theme. Divine Identity is godlike, probably the best in SMT. But the battle itself is subpar.
The boss itself isn't anything too special but the battle theme is the best final boss theme in the entire series
I wanted to post Grigori from Dragon's Dogma but then I remembered Hades from Sahdowbringers.
Kek
>get Helel
>...
>doesn't contribute, but dares to complain
literally ribbit
That's literally 1000º sword vs -1000º sword design
Oh well, I was a weeb teen once too.
>make the whole game a QTE fest
>it's actually good
Based and Demonpilled
THE MOMENT MAN DEVOURED THE FRUIT OF KNOWLEDGE, HE SEALED HIS FATE
ENTRUSTING HIS FUTURE TO THE CARDS, MANKIND CLINGS TO A DIM HOPE
YET THE ARCANA IS THE MEANS BY WHICH ALL IS REVEALED
BEYOND THE BEATEN PATH LIES THE ABSOLUTE END
IT MATTERS NOT WHO YOU ARE
DEATH AWAITS YOU
You still have to cleave through the initial 13 phases, since they have their own unique healthbars. But you can use Helel+Satan to OHKO the Death form, sure.
Fuck this game and it's shitty control but it was satisfying
true
I believe in portable it just has one health bar that you can explode.
ONE BRINGS SHADOW ONE BRINGS LIGHT
I kinda wanted him to summon Ardbert and his group
/thread
>not actually the final boss
>gets rekt by parries like every other humanoid boss that isnt the crow
hes cool and all but once you figure out that you can parry him to death and it takes 0 skill the fight loses alot of its grandeur
Western games have neither bosses nor (good) gameplay to begin with. Of course you're just left with Japanese games
i bet you think yakuza has good gameplay
Yakuza isn't BestActionGameplayEver.webm but it is still better than a lot of Western games
Why would anyone put pajamas on a gun? Are you talking about borderlands 3
>finale is set in outer space
I don't even like P3 that much but Nyx is easily better than Brahman.
Coulda gone pro, if he wanted
Shit game, shit bosses, shit story...but fuck me the final battle makes up for it in pure K I N O
Name a good Western boss battle m8
The West only knows how to make soulless AAA shit
It´s also a word game. It´s a more intense version of the song that plays in the velvet room, which is named "Poem of everyone´s soul"
the localization ruined the twist and subsequently this boss.
WARE WA MESSIAH NARI
That's "Aria of the Soul"
*references several other final bosses in your general direction*
nothing tops this
I was thinking of the reincarnation album and previous persona titles where it´s called the Poem of everyone´s soul. I just assumed vanilla P3 had the same name.
>MGS4
>shit
It's the best post-3 game by far, at least. So it's "pretty good" as opposed to "great" or better. Nowhere near shit, let alone mediocre or anything like that
4 is hardly a game it is more like a closing movie. I love the mgs games but I was a little disappointed at how little you actually do in that game.
Never finished EOV, is the final boss really that good?
it took 14 posts until someone gave the only right answer
The boss itself wasn't too fun, but on hard was the shit. Also, the music was sick
>tfw still haven't learned his patterns
I don't like NKG
PV is Pure Kino and you post that ballet dance instead? Grimm's a good fight but not the most kino in it's game
Probably this one. Dat music.
Is the PS3 emulator good enough so that this can be emulated and played without framedrops?
>that slight hesitation before his last strike
>You have to spam webs and electric webs to win
>kino
not even the best final boss from made
Yo buddy. Still alive?
And thanks, friend. See you again.
>spam webs and electric webs to win
That's the whole game.
After a pretty weak last leg of the game the actual finale more than made up for it.
youtube.com
>hacking A2
That was a trip.
>not posting anything from the old persona games or smt
You nu faggots disgust me
>lavos gets ruined in cross
Why did cross and that shitty furry had to kill the chrono series?
These are the only correct choices
Chakravartin
The whole thing was better if you played through the game as Leo
this is objectively the best final boss battle
i do not recognize that character you posted
Super Metroid
Zoomers begone, kino incoming
Who the fuck would even think to do this though?
You're more than welcome to post a good final boss in a Western game.
Western devs don't design good boss fights in general. I remember reading a tweet? or something from a big time western dev years ago saying that boss fights are bad and shouldn't even be in games. That sentiment seems to be pretty prevalent as you have to look really hard to find a good boss fight, let alone a good final boss in a western game. Pic related.
9S makes the most sense narratively and he is pretty much the true protagonist the entire game. I like that they give you the option to pick A2 but you'd have to be pretty soulless to think her ending is better.
Can't wait for the reprisal in 1 month more like 1.5 years lmao.
>A2
>glory of mankind
Pick one. 9S was the one that questioned his existence and wanted to see the return of humans. A2 just accepts that they're already gone.
It says a lot about how bad Xenoblade 2 was when the best moment in the game is hearing Shulk's speech.
by retroactively making xc1's shitty ending better?
XC1's ending is perfect by itself. XC2 needed to piggy back onto XC1's story in order to not be a total bore.
My bad, here you go
>hackzaki's OC donut steal
>better than burnt ivory king, fume knight or sinth
malos' suicide by cop is miles better than zanza
I's fine, it's probably the one with the least relation to the story
It's just a random monster that lived on mars and was imprisoned by the terraforming alien.
KINO IS A TERM USED FOR FUCKING CINEMA AND MOVIES. NOT INTERACTIVE MEDIUMS YOU FUCKING TROGLODYTE. WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN KINO? NOTHING ABOUT A VIDEO GAME CAN BE KINO. I FUCKING HATE THESE BUZZWORD FUCKS THAT CAN'T HAVE AN ORIGINAL THOUGHT SO ALL THEY SAY IS "CRINGE BASED ZOOMER BOOMER YIKES DILATE." I THOUGHT PEOPLE ACTUALLY HAD CONVERSATIONS HERE. FUCK
yikes
>forced to censor hitler
>make him look cool as shit
its a meme ya dip
That sword feels like a joke edit, where someone thought it was really long so they edited it to be so ridiculously long that it goes off the screen.
>best final boss From made
>not nine ball
Soulsbabbies please go.
>hitler
>final boss
Either you're illiterate or you didn't actually play Persona 2 and are just a memeing faggot.
What are you talking about user, that isnt hitler, hes atlus donut steal fuhrer
Hes just nyarly larping either way, and is more recognizable than a literall blob
He's still not the final boss you meming faggot.
None of these are final bosses and the only really good one is Fume knight
youtube.com
Not at all good mechanically but this was pretty kino.
LET'S GO!
This guy gets it. Fuck everything you've learned. Here's a whole new game style, whole new mechanic, entirely new set of sprites, and new soundscape at the last second. The music kills me every time on how good it is.
>literal abrahamic god
Does this count as a final battle if it's final boss of a dlc? Also obviously this and this youtube.com
forgot to attach
>weeb shit
>kino
yikes!
These get my vote
Just like how Gael is the de facto final boss of Dark Souls 3.
This was a genuinely fun and hard fight. How's the secret boss in terms of difficulty?
>he is pretty much the true protagonist the entire game
True and is entirely why I didn't enjoy Automata as much as the original Nier - I identified more with 2b through the whole experience even though I'm a dude and could feel shota boy lusting for my butthole
which AC is this?
AC0
Fucking maximum soul.
youtube.com
I know it's not the actual final boss but that one sucks anyway.
Sam is better though
>Pixy showing up gave him a reason to fight
>Fights no more and disappears after taking pixy down
POTTERY
Xemnas was GOAT.
III's final boss was such a disappointment in comparison.
A2 vs 9S
Excellent tastes sir
It took you until the final boss to realize automata sucks? I couldn’t even get to the first ending, and apparently the combat gets even shittier when you have to play as 9s? That’s hilarious.
Was very difficult as Plo Koon because his combos had a long recovery during which you'd get pummeled.
It had it's moments like when he forces you into rage form but I had a feeling that Xemnas would be hard to top.
>papi nier
so close...
Kino post senpai
Yes, same with nier
Nice. Time for a replay
this, mostly because it carries everything from the previous games
based Ghiaccio poster
>full heals the final boss
Came in here to post this, the entire sequence from going through the door onwards is just too good.
absolutely based
DS1's is pretty great because you expect choirs, trumpets and an overall cathartic experience and instead fight a pathetic joke of a boss over quiet piano notes.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some really important game but Dragon's Dogma comes to mind. Both main game and DLC final bosses are really impactful. Musical patterns matter a lot.
Absolutely based. LET'S GO!
SNES was based as fuck in general
Omega, Mega Man Zero 3.
based
Does this count
The real kino was Genichiro going from a guy that dumpsters you in the tutorial, to a challenge you overcome in the midgame, to a throwaway phase for Isshin.
I'm not gonna pretend that I went in completely blind into ds1(i already knew to pay attention to environmental storytelling and read descriptions), or that I read every item and made wild theories before I beat the game, but after very roughly getting an idea about the game's story and finding out th real Anor Londo I expected a sad and "quiet" final battle. The music was a nice touch.
YOU'LL WALK......WITH A LIMP!
cringe
>find beautiful planet
>bestow sapience on tiny monkeys
>they fuck it up with war and pollution
>send the extermination team to get rid of those little cunts and start over
>they killed the extermination team?
>what the fuck. send in the army
>they hold out against your army
>they defeat your army of giant monsters with giant fucking robots
>apparently there's a "legendary hero" pulling all of this off
>head down there to exterminate these rats yourself
>the hero shoots down your fucking ship
>go down and 1v1 that mother fucker
>Gael better than Isshin
Absolutely disgusting if you have this opinion you should be ashamed of yourself
not the boss, but the leadup to it.
game?
Earth Defense Force 5, of course
EBA
The Holy Trinity
*AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM**AHEM*
Post the webm, you know which one...
I'm a sucker for moments during the final battle where the hero/heroine is at their lowest point and at death's door before regaining their strength/powering up and laying the final boss to waste, I guess I can thank Super Metroid for introducing me to that trope
I'm also a sucker for montages where all the characters you met along the way pray for your safety and gives the character the push they need to win, shout outs to Okami, TTYD and Earthbound
youtube.com

Mah nigga, 2 of my favourite games because of this. I love it when games look back at people/towns/etc at the end of the game.
>pattern
You react to his attacks, like a dance. You find the right way to counter and punish each attack.
>have to go through a dozen babby proof impossible to lose forms just to get to the real final boss
Yeah no
>Babby proof
And yet, there are people dumb enough to end up full healing him because they can't handle status's in a SMT game.
He's not though.
>Retard obsessed with shitting on weeb shit says retarded thing
>Retards obsessed with shitting on west shit use it as a excuse to ramble on about muh west

based thread.
still one of the hypest moments i've ever seen on a stream
>1 HP
>Poisoned
>almighty attack misses
>win with last possible hit
The rantings of an upjumped zealot make for tedious listening
I thought backseating said breastfeeding
Rage form is way too good in 3. Basically made that part trivial.
>muh twitch, muh streamer
Fuck off, zoomer.
I'm 29 years old you fucking retard. Fuck you for telling me I'm not allowed to enjoy something just because you can no longer enjoy anything.
the most kino final boss fight actually belongs to a game no one here has ever played.
Taekwon-Do for the SNES, a shitty martial arts simulator game that for the final match turns into street fighter:
I WILL NEVER
FORGIVE YOU
FOR MAKING MY DAUGHTER CRRRRRYYYYYYYY
Wow dood
that wasn't the final boss though
he was
That thing had like 17 phases or some shit
>shit taste
>shit with gamepad
>shit at comprehending
trying to fit in with Yea Forums is actually having a good taste, newfag
i like how the devs have been honest since then that they just had no idea how to make a final boss to this game. they just didn't even try.
This was hype as fuck
Literally punished monolith at this point. I think besides xc and xcx every xeno game went through developer hell. Takahashi tried to hang himself during the xenosaga era
>that easter egg you can only get if you deliberately stay low level to the very end so hacking doesn't kill A2 in two hits
13 phases, the final phase is XIII - Death.
not a final boss, barely even a boss, and yet
half as long. twice as bright
Kino of the highest order.
ZeRo's persona streams were honestly some of the most enjoyable streams out there desu
I completely agree.
I hated that he baited people into a bidwar over whether to do a full harem run, but it was worth it just for this
DeSu 2 is a step down from 1, but Triangulum was nice.
The best final boss of all time is the same final boss I've been posting in these threads ever since I fought him years ago.
The Sinister Marauder From Afar - Galbalan.
I know it's cool to hate UT now but come on. Nobody posts Sans?
Sans was pretty great but sadly you basically explained in your own post why nobody's posted him
Definetly the best final boss moment that also marked the end of the PS1/N64 and DC era.
Tengen Toppa Kirby Lagann?
Really says a lot when you can hear a boss' roar and theme just from a static image.
This
dude i can fucking smell you from over here, take a bath user
also a mecha
DOOOD HE'S DOING IT AGAIN
Pretty much, Robobot was based
to be fair
>be nippon
>not always terribly good on writing or setup
>but you HAVE to frame some part of the game on a ridiculous setpiece you thought up
they tend to be great at spectacle, over believability
This fight is soul overload to me. Everything fits so well, from visuals, to music, to themes. SO fucking good
The lack of Jergingha in this thread is very un-wonderful.
dont they literally copy that moment from space marine in this?
the falling while punching in the face thing?
>Jergingha
That's not the heir to the throne of the roaming Rhullo, leader of the space pirate band known across the universe as the Guyzoch, Prince Vorkken!
No. Seriously, it's not. You should fix that.
im thinkin its kino
i think that's a pretty common trope that no one series owns.
you're not wrong
but seeing as how its the first to come to mind and reminded me about how terrible the game was, id bring it up
Overleveling for the Tico fight kinda killed the climatic hype for me but the multi-phase lead-up and the parts with Saidaq and both Hotsuins was pretty freaking sweet.
SUCH A BEAUTIFUL WORLD, THIS CHI-Q
>Healer get charmed
>Battle is over
Huh huh, sure, kino battle
hello DSP
Good choice, anons. However:
youtube.com
I got into the game late and Heavensward was the first time XIV showed me its single player MMO gimmick could work so it still resonates with me a lot. Hades is a very close second to me and as much as I like Shinryu it's at the end of fucking Stormblood which at least isn't ARR.
Is this the thread where we circlejerk over Persona 3 for the nth time because we're blind to its flaws??
>when THEY show up after the nidhogg fight

Baby Iwami was lame as fuck.
6 was a shit game.
>final boss

I have news for you, kid.
Egg Nyx is more of a victory lap rather than a final boss, though.
Thread should've ended here.
Not really a boss fight so much as "run or you're fucking dead" part but still.
youtube.com
You're the final boss. The leaders of two factions band together to stop you
THIS IS MY!

TW101’s final battle.
The real final boss isn't Nyx, it's March 5th
>baby iwami

Sorry buddy, thats someya, iwami is just a victory lap
I HAD HOPED TO AVOID ITS DESTRUCTION!
is he coming back?
>SMT fanboy shows up to dump on Persona
Never fails
>throws a giant ball of energy at Asura
>Asura just punches the shit out of it
I love this game
I wouldn't really consider QTEs a "final boss" but it's still a kino final ending
youtu.be
Burnt Ivory King is shit though, all flash and no substance
>Not MW2
Replayed this and this fight was actually a lot tougher than I remembered.
YOU CANNOT ESCAPE, LONG DEATH.
youtu.be
Are you ready?!
A retard a-you.
>Nobody mentions Legend of Dragoon
You literally go through that game's version of Genesis, from the creation of the world to the end of mankind.
There are so many games I never heard about.
>nine ball
literally fucking who
>something like 6 games later and they never topped the fight with Ares
Not really a boss since it functions as a regular stage, but having every NPC you helped along the way (besides DaVinci and the white cell waifu) join against the aliens was pretty satisfying.
>E B A!
>E B A!
>E B A!
These threads are great for discovering games.
Target acquired. Commencing hostilities.
Despite being a character introduced at the very last stage of the story, the atmosphere and delivery of the Ballos fight was great.
>had to stop playing suikoden 1 half way through
>dont remember the story
>series stays in my backlog forever
still Yea Forums
Kasumi was upset with herself for having supported you during both the destruction of the cradle and the limited operations with ORCA, knowing she guided you into committing a genocide and what would later be an assured omnicide. I'm pretty sure she expected something a little less...insane, but was powerless to stop it.
XCX also went through developer hell, rewrites halfway through and the artbook shows lots of unused concept art. They even almost abandoned the open world at one point. It's a big, full experience but at the same time feels rushed. Really hope we get an XCX2 tho.
This best boss in the series. It was too much to live up to, for 3 to surpass.
3’s best boss was honestly young xehanort, ansem and xemnas
I remember stunlocking him with Obi wan's normal combo. Mace Windu special was also a good way to handle him.
Cause this place sucks a dick.
if only getting to him wasn't such a fucking crapshoot every fucking time you go through Sacred Grounds
>
>That wasn't a skin for Dark Samus in SSBU
That form was the coolest fucking thing.
supreme kino
EDF! EDF!
HD Remake when?
literally the only western game I've ever played with well designed bosses was South Park The Fractured But Whole, and that game is very clearly a clone of Japanese games.
most kino boss in Zelda history, especially if you play it on intended hardware (awful 90s TV)
Mister Showtime on Route A and Officer Joker on Route B.
Mister Showtime is great because it's the biggest difficulty spike in the game and Officer Joker does the old "main theme plays during bossfight" thing which makes my dick diamonds.
Came here to post Okami.
seeing the challenge tag on the sun was kino as fuck
C'mon, Dingo!
KH2 easily had one of the top 10 boss battles of all time.
I lost my gaming virginity to Xemnas when I was 10, this was the ultimate boss battle. You got to fly, slice skyscrapers in half with your best friend, and the battle got so intense that you literally had to go beyond space/time to settle the score because the sheer awesomeness would've tore the fabric reality.
His 1 million laser death bolt shower sent chills down spine, I felt like I was complete ninja barely struggling to stay alive as i mashed that fucking badass triangle button till my i got fucking thumb arthritis.
Then there was the battle of 1000 heartless. Goofy dies, and the way mickey fucking mouse loses his shit and swears utter death upon the entire heartless race jolted me. I was just playing weird cheesy disney/ff spinoff I was about to avenge my nigga goofy's death and i was slaughter every heartless that stood in my way, without mercy. I've never been as pumped for a boss fight since then.
You have to be 18 to post here kid
This battle starts out like the Def Jam boss fight, were you go into the match getting your ass beat by snoop dog.
>our theme starts playing
>Your first party member's theme starts playing

great way to end a duology, I havent played Dark Dawn but this was pretty awesome The last Kefka fight in FFVI was pretty gud as well
Not even the best in Ys, which is Dark Fact
"Warriors from another dimension heed my call!"
Absolutely kino.
Shame the rest of the game wasn't.
safer sephiroth, ganon oot, wizpig dkr
Witcher 3 was legit so good, I didn't think they could top it, but this one vampire is somehow way more satisfying than actually killing the Wild Hunt which is the dullest part of the whole game
No. You don't understand. I've been dead for 35 years. Today is the day I live.
youtube.com
Lord Blazer was the shit.
thank god someone posted it.
I don't even like western games that much
I honestly really hate this fight from a gameplay perspective. They succeeded at conveying the SCALE of the fight (you did feel like a giant), but mechanically it's one of the worst fights in the game because you can't use any of the stuff you just spent the entire game mastering and have to play by a new, shittier set of rules where it can start to feel like a back and forth that refuses to end.
This was amazing. First time playing through it and it blew me away
Can I just say how fucking cool it is, that canonically speaking, the only real challenge to Samus, the only thing that actually scares or worries her to any significant degree, is evil clones of herself? She is so badass that only shades of herself pose any threat to her.
I love in Fusion when she says if the SA-X got loose it would be a danger to the entire universe. She knows how OP she is, it's fantastic
>you don't fight Nort Court alongside Riku and Kairi
This is hands down the greatest sin of Kingdom Hearts 3. Among all its failings, not having team attacks with Riku and Kairi during Nort Court is #1.
looking forward to the Ex
>Like NTR
>Play this
>Completely unfappable
>Still absolutely Kino final boss(es)
Apparently it's not even the studio's best game. How the fuck
This man.
The final boss of Let it Die was pretty fantastic. The subversion ending was alright, but honestly not great considering only ~1-4% of players would even get that far
why are cloud and sephiroth attacking cruella deville from 101 dalmatians?
FFXIV is so based I'm half expecting fucking Culex from Mario RPG to show up
>The end of the fight when you slap the shit out of him
Cathartic as fuck considering the suffering he put me through until I finally fucking beat him
omg that cat
also impressive that they go to the effort of chaining up the duchess who tried to conspire, to be pecked to death by crows, like the threat she had previously made, and you can go find her body
not only this but Ansem in KH1 as well. it's just complete chaos by the end, you are just desperately smacking him as he summons black holes and constantly shoots you with lasers. all his dialogue is iconic from the first beach skirmish to the very end
it's fucking stupid that they push mickey and kairi out right after walking in. it's like, why even write that scene to let them walk in if you didn't want them in the battle
i think nomura genuinely hates kairi fans.
What game?
>no one posted him yet
fuck all you fucking NIGGERS
Vanitas is one of my favorite bosses in the series. His whole existence is one of the edgiest things imaginable and he was only written in because Sora's JP va said he wanted to play a villain.
but his boss fights are among the best in BBS
armstrong
>Okami AND Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Hell yeah motherfucker. Okami has one of the greatest final battles ever. Everyone supporting you and making you more powerful than you've ever been throughout history, followed by you getting to totally kick Yami's ass no matter how hard he tries, is the most satisfying experience I've had in years.
Lighting Returns
The twist that the Celestial Realm is the real world, and then the front facing 3DS camera turning on to show your face in the dimension-torn sky is fucking incredible
This fight was fucking hard as shit too, but it's so fucking good it hurts.
I pressed circle for an excessive amount of time because I know GoW devs put secrets in their games
Sometimes you forget, Yea Forums
>Capcom game's final boss forces the protag and rival to settle their differences and work together
>The protag's color scheme is blue and his rival's is red
that is more of a cinematic fight than a proper fight.

It's not the final boss' song, it's YOUR song. Destroying Yami and drawing a final Sun over him is so fulfilling.
Will Pluto be omitted from FF7R's Supernova cutscene since it's no longer a traditional planet?
We'll never know, episode 2 is gonna bomb hard and kill the rest.
Terra has to be one of the strangest characters of any game I've ever played.
His physical design is derived from KH2 Xehanort retroactively needing to be him with white hair and amnesia later on so that guy can be split into two more people and cause the whole series to happen.
His armored design is to retroactively explain KH2's Lingering Will boss (which includes having him sprout a cape for no reason so as not to be inconsistent due to PSP not being able to handle the capes).
But his personality, which is supposed to justify a being of PURE UNSTOPPABLE RAGE ending up trapped in his armor for a decade+, is incredibly passive, quiet, and overly polite. Lexaeus was a 'gentle giant' trope but still got super pissed because he was using the power of earth. Terra is even named "Earth" and is treated like he's supposed to be angry and reckless.. but he's not. instead he's just dumb??
Pluto was declared an honorary planet later on, rendering the millions of freshly printed textbooks omitting it completely pointless.
The only entertaining thing to come out of that whole debacle was one half-decent Rick and Morty episode, and that's being generous
They nail the music every time.

THIS THIS
The final trial of AA3 was more badass than some JRPG finales.
and then Apollo Justice followed up with one of the worst finales of any game I've ever played
It was really bizarre when they added Majima Everywhere to Kiwami, considering he is heavily wounded and thought to be dead for a large chunk of the story, but still pops out of manholes and shit to fight you
>once you get good with a mechanic its easy
Tell me more
>throws final boss into ice chipper
Fuck, I need another Sleeping Dogs.
Tonight, Gehrman joins the hunt...
Name better line in vidya history
It pains me that the writing turned Terra into a joke, I get what they were going for but it was just handled poorly
I like animated armor though so I'm glad he became the Lingering Chad for a while
I WAS BORN IN A CROSSFIRE HURRICANE
I'm still pissed that the drop doesn't sync up with the pipe in the actual game.
The DLC will give Lingering Will more scenes, hopefully
>yfw Chakravatin starts failing his qtes
Based
>World is blowing up around them
>Still stop for one last showdown
Absolutely based trope, any other games that do this?
Shit twist
If you're going to complain about the lack of western bosses the least you could do is post one and fix the problem.
Clockwerk from Sly Cooper was a pretty fun fight
A fight is likely to happen
This is also
did you mean to post the high quality rip of the song
That happened to me against YHVH in 4A, except the poisoned part
Buddha clutched it out for me so fucking hard
WARE WA MESSIAH NARI
HA HA HA HA
The battle is, by definition, over.
Wii punch out was made in the west as did Furi but those arguably don’t count since the former was a Nintendo game with a western development team and the latter was heavily inspired by eastern games. Malak and most of the sith from KOTOR2 have kino fluff but the fights are pure numbers battles. The Master and Frank Horrigan are both kino. New Vegas’ 2nd Battle of Hoover Dam is pretty kino for the ways it reflects your choices and allows choices within it. As do most of the boss fights in the original Deus Ex. Undertale has some pretty clever use of game mechanics integrated into the plot of the fight (like Sans not giving you any invincibility frames because invincibility frames are the monster feeling a pang of remorse after hurting you or Omega Flowey in general). Also Spec Ops The Line if you count the ending as a fight
That was a great boss fight desu especially since it was using a (if basic) combat system that was only introduced when you got the sword
Xenoblade chronicles is one of my favorite rpgs of all time.
But Zanza's final design is just so goofy. He makes me think of the rhino from that ps2 spiderman game.
omega flowey was better
THERE THEY ARE GET THEM
user.....
Hardest I've popped off was after beating him on nightmare. Supremely satisfying.
>doesn’t have emotions
>ONONONONONO ORGANIZATION SAVE ME PLEASE I DONT WANT TO DIE I KNOW THAT I LITERALLY CANT EMOTE TO SAVE MY LIFE BUT SOME LAWYERS JUST DID AN EPIC POSE
>the beat drops on the seventh trumpet blare
the fight was good and all, but the soundtrack really carried the game
While we're talking SNES action games, the Dracula fight at the end of SCIV is some good shit.
hella goosebumps
I mean, it's a pretty emotional ending, but it doesn't really count as a boss.
