Also, more generally, stop optimizing the gameplay around the desires of grind autists and the reward structure. DE’s gone too far down the rabbit hole of “grind so you can grind more”. If the game is fun to play, any stupid bullshit excuse to grind will be good enough, because the act of grinding is its own reward. The more you think about how to make mission types “worth playing” from a rewards standpoint, the less you have to think about making mission types actually worth playing because it’s fun to play them.

It started off so promising, but then Steve fucking killed it with the melee 2.9 “flow” optimizations, and what we’ve seen of it in the Iron Staff/Primal Fury rework suggests it’s going to be a complete fucking shitshow.

Agree but it's not possible and you know it.
- Make enemies gain new tactics as levels increase (A lvl 5 lancer behaves exactly like a lvl 50 elite lancer?!);
- Make more enemies work with each other (we know it's possible : enemies make a little formation around eximus units )
- Where are infested gunners, flamethrowers, etc? Where are deformed versions of more regular enemies?
- Calm down with the open world, and add new planet tilesets (Neptune, Pluto, Saturn, etc need some uniqueness). Keep the old ones though, for variety.
- Make non endless missions like Spy, Capture, etc way more rewarding (we aren't always willing To sit 20 to 40 minutes in the same mission).

I like the void kids, they just need their combat fixed to not be a fucking trainwreck.

How can you faggots play this again after they nerfed the fast clears and convinience to clear missions to farm prime parts? Or how they fucking nerf the fucking warframe like say Ash to oblivion? Just so farming takes longer, not more fun.

I don't know that they really nerfed "fast clears", Warframe is still a game just about going fast, most missions are over in under 180 seconds.

game gets boring because you have moments where youre running around large completely empty rooms looking for ANYTHING to kill
and it doesnt really feel like you interact with the other players everyone is just trying to get the game over with to get that slotmachine reward and log off

I haven't played Warframe since the end of the first Nightwave, but that's because I got tired of the gameplay. It stopped evolving, it just became spam for loot and I stopped enjoying it. I think Warframe can only be worth playing again if they make playing it fun, and they don't do that because people like you bitch about any change that does anything except make farming faster. We're never again going to have an overhaul on par with Parkour 2.0 because every time something is changed to demand more player engagement people just get salty about how they can't use 4-pressing macros to auto-collect drops while they shitpost on discord.

Unfortunately even Railjack won't help, it'll be a fun gimmick and a technical milestone for sure but it won't fundamentally change the gameplay loop. I have no idea what they could do to make the game fun again, it's just become a sunk cost trap.

But it's quite simple:

If anything, void kids are the thing that shouldn't be possible in this game, the engine can't even handle void kids properly (void dash fucking with hitbox detection and constantly reseting your position like /unstuck, massive delays during multiplayer, etc).

I could fix Warframe, I could make it fun again, and it wouldn’t involve a whole lot of actual new content. The problem is, it WOULD fuck the existing economy so hard that the 500k hour investment players would all abandon the game in a fit of rage.

That’s the real problem. Right now the game has gotten so far from fun that everyone but the grind autists has left, and now they can’t dare try to fix it for fear that they’ll just chase off the grind autists.

Didn’t they fix the operator mode host calls during melee 2.9 (since melee switching had the same design flaw) so now there’s no lag switching states for clients?
