That's the other side of a coin, Epic is nice enough to let you login through a browser, redeem free games for your account and never think about it again. I don't even have to install their store to claim them so my data is safe. When the time comes for a game from Epic I'll just prepare a fresh system with no important data, install it all and forget about Epic again. I'm not denying that free games are a bonus, I'm saying that with enough technical aptitude you can minimize your risk and maximize profit. I dislike Epic and their policy, and getting something for nothing sounds like a good deal for me.
