Gunstar heroes on gba is better
no
It was really good user, but I personally like other games better. I'm happy to see someone posting about this game, and I wish more anons would play it. It really is an underrated GBA game.
Both are good games, but Aria of Sorrow is the best GBA game.
I wish Treasure made more games though it's been a while since they released anything and they're basically guaranteed to be good.
aria isn't even the best castlevania on the system
harmony of dissonance is way better
>HoD
wish more games had as much soul put into it as this one.
You really aren't wrong. Why there is no port is beyond me. I can play the Shantae games on PS4, why not this?
>duke red
>Justice
this was weird to me after seeing Metropolis first.
I actually learned about Tezuka's star system thanks to this game.
I never understood why it gets so much hate. It’s fun just like aria. I don’t get why people like circle of the moon, though.
>remember playing GBA in the backseat of our car while everyone was busy at some Easter event
>slightly raining outside
>playing Metroid Fusion for the first time
I miss those days. Heaven is childhood anew.
I'm sorry to tell you this but Treasure right now is nothing more than a living husk of its former self. Their last game (a japan-only brawler for the 3DS) sold terribly and it nearly put them out of business (the game was part of a purposed multimedia franchise that died as soon as it began) . The people that are left just focus on licensing old Treasure games and properties for new consoles and ports.
The age of Treasure is over.
Wow, that was a huge blast from the past! I remember playing this back on my old SP.. Never really knew that much about Astro Boy when I picked it out, guess the name or designs just appealed to me. I recall being so surprised when the time travel part hit, especially since I’d never seen a plot like that before.. Thank you OP, now I’ve got to look up a longplay
>this will never get a remake with a hand-drawn aesthetic
does it need to? the spritework in this game is amazing.
I remember emulating it like 15 years ago but I don't remember it being anything special. I don't remember how far I got, probably not very far, but I wasn't motivated to finish it.
For years people have hyped up the game as some kind of legendary cult game though. Should I replay it? Is it really that good? What makes it so great?
It's good in the sense that it's a fun game people may have ignored because it's a licensed game. Somewhat of a hidden gem. If you go into it thinking it's a masterpiece I think you'll be a bit disappointed.
I'd say it's worth another shot, it definitely picks up after the first few levels.
It's really good. The game keeps getting better as you face tougher enemies/bosses but you upgrade your abilities so it's always fair.
The game also has a ton of secrets, and just an insane amount of details put into it, it's insane.
I'd at least like a port though so more people can play it.
I imagine licensing issues are a mess. I remember that game's intro screen had a sony logo, which I think own the right to that particular version of astro boy since it's based on the 2003 anime series. Then there's also the Tezuka family copyright.
But they should find a way to rerelease it.
If not, people can always emulate GBA fairly well, and the game itself isn't too expensive either. Might become more expensive as time goes on though. I got it for like $4, 10 years ago, now it's around $25 (loose)
