Taiko has two "buttons" but it really has four of them since the centre and rim are different and if you aren't hitting them properly for the respective notes you're retarded.
Having only two notes, even if there are slides as well, is just fucking idiotic, it reduces the complexity of the game significantly and just turns it into a button mashing fest because the only way to increase the difficulty with two buttons is to make the notes come out faster. LLSIF had 9 lanes and that made sense since it didn't have slides, but CGSS and Bandori both have slides and they have 5 and 7 lanes respectfully, dropping it down to only 2 notes is so stupid I have no idea how it got approved.

Because Afterglow is the best band but the VAs can't play their instruments and are all big names so Bushiroad can't have them do live shows and therefore can't make as much money from them. Their covers are all great but with their original songs it's about 50/50 on whether or not it'll be too poppy or not, for example Hey Day Capriccio is amazing but Jamboreel Journey is far, far too poppy for Afterglow so it feels like a song that should've been PoPiPa.

Also the story should be more about your idol instead of a shiika wankfest. If they combined the story content of platinum and stella i would be more happy. And if they dont make a new game at least remake idolmaster 1 in the 2nd vision style. Yeah the post content stuff really was top tier. I enjoyed producing shiika. I think we dont know everything about the idols. Its only really business focused. You hear them talk about them having a family. But out of that they dont hear anything about them.

For example Miki has a sister and the few times they touch upon the subject miki gets very defensively and a vibe that she doesn’ want to lose against her. Would be really fun to see her awaken at random times because her sister is there. Or the yayoi family to randomly pop up during practise and wreak havoc for yayoi etc. Fix the relationship between chihaya and her mom. I could go on about that. Nor the idol effect on their school life. Also in stella you have some downtime events like going to the swimming pool. They just tell you we had a fun day. But that also could be voiced and have a fun skit around it. More interactions between the idols when you prodce them. In the homescreen you see them playing around but in the commus you barely see them talk except for when they have to perform.

For the graphics department they promised a full 3d world for platinum stars when they announced it at 10th annover event? With haruka greeting you and walking up to you. There is so much to touch upon imo. But they choose to recycle the most simple story again and again. I do like that stella changed it up a bit but the balance of the focus wasnt there yet.
