WHERE THE FUCK IS THE N64 MINI NINTENDO?!?

WHERE THE FUCK IS THE N64 MINI NINTENDO?!?

N64 is a shit console. Just stick to your shitty emulators.

t. bought a Saturn

Probably haven't figured out how to get the emulator to work with the hardware they want to use.
If I'm not mistaken, they kind of had a hard time pulling off the SNES mini

You want a rareware 64 mini? Microsoft is blocking it

I would buy it if it just played Wave Race 64 +95% perfect.

Holiday season 2019

This reminds me of something that kind of annoys me about the SNES mini. They didn’t have a molded in cartridge. It causes the silhouette of the console to not resemble an SNES being currently played.

something something everdrive, something something rasp pi

This. It's going to be announced in probably late october. To all my scalp bros, I would definitely get a few of these. Worst case just keep the receipt and know the stores return policy so you can get your money back if supply meets demand. However, I will actually use this as itll be the first mini console I've given a fuck about. Idc what anyone says, the n64 was my favorite console so if they are able to put most of the good games on it then it's definitely a buy for me and I dont even care. Fuck the haters.

There's not even 20 good games on it and it would be worthless if it didn't come with 4 controllers which I doubt they would do.

so 3d print a little half a cartridge, glue it on and shut the fuck up

Nintencels literally have no idea how to emulate, why do you want to buy this.

Oh boy, I can't wait for n64's 5 whole good games on it

I have an x5 gba everdrive. That thing is nice as fuck

>most of the good games on it
They should be able to fit ten games on it pretty easily.

So far they've only been remaking good consoles. So I imagine they would skip right to GC.

No Goldeneye, No THQ/Aki wrestling games, no Turok and possibly no Rare games (of course since Banjo is in Smash you never know).

Here's your controller.

Attached: retro-fighters-n64-controller-1.jpg (750x500, 105K)

Here's your other controller. No way they would release it with the original N64 design.

Attached: retro-bit-tribute-64-controller-vs-n64-hori-mini-pad.jpg (720x540, 45K)

Not actually as feasible as you might think it is.

I really wonder what the fuck they're planning to pack in for the controller. I really doubt any of the handful of games that will be on it are going to be any of the ones that need the dpad. Maybe they'll buy Retro Fighters outright, and use their design, since it's the only logical design.

N64 emulation is harder so they can't just make a cheap raspberry-pi-tier emulator box and call it a day.

There's really no reason for it to use these controllers since none of the games are designed to need both the analog stick and the dpad

Hell these layouts straight up break some of the alternate control schemes on Goldeneye or Perfect Dark and more

Is the tribute 64 any good?

Just get a raspi and make your own

You don't need to run angrylion to make an N64 classic. Most of the games that would be on it can run on rather low end hardware

You guys honestly doubt they would use the original controller? The whole point of these mini consoles is the nostalgia, and the trident controller is part of that package.
The real question is would they bother with the rumble features?

I bought a cheap Android box off of eBay for $19 and it runs almost every N64 game perfectly.

fuck n64 mini
where's my gamecube mini

Probably not, ps classic couldn't even be bothered to use a fucking dualshock

I'm 443, you misread my post, I was talking about the mini controllers

It'll prob be the New Nintendo64 Pro Controller, which will be compatible with N64 games when they launch on Switch.

Problem with an n64 emulator thing would be
>many of the killer apps like Rare's stuff would be absent because of licensing issues
>other games wouldn't be available either due to emulation problems
>probably wouldn't come with four controllers even though N64 is best known for being a party console
>would most likely just be the same shit like mario/zelda/starfox that we've seen rereleased ad infinitum already

True but people didn't get the trident design back and I doubt they learned since then.

Attached: n64-controller-wrong-hold.jpg (720x540, 117K)

Gotta wait a few more years. 2000's nostalgia hasn't kicked in yet.

With Banjo's inclusion in Smash, it could be that MS and Nintendo made an agreement to work together

>probably wouldn't come with four controllers
No fucking shit dude, it's Nintendo. They could probably rationalize two controllers for the NES/SNES mini, but there's no way the 64 mini is going to come with more than one due to manufacturing costs.

Nintendo:
Mario 64
Zelda OoT
Zelda MM
Yoshi's Story
Excitebike 64
1080º Snowboarding
Star Fox 64
F-Zero X
Wave Race 64
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
Mario Party games
Pokémon Snap
Donkey Kong 64
Pokémon Stadium
Paper Mario
Mario Kart 64
Super Smash Bros.
Mario Tennis
Mario Golf
PilotWings 64

Non Nintendo:
Sin and Punishment
Bangai-O
Mischief Makers

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon
Harvest Moon 64
Bomberman 64
Snowboard Kids 1 and 2
Body Harvest
Extreme G 1 and 2
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2

If they could use Rare games then it would be even easier to make a list. I think Treasure would be easy to include if they wanted.

It is a no-brainer, but it must be said regardless. Emulation on my PC is something that is already available. Many of the standard N64 games are also already available on Wii. If they want to sell these boxes to people beyond just nostalgia-seeking onions, they need to offer something extra and worthwhile. And IMO the best way to do that would be out-of-the-box four player capability

>hope an 64 mini with a translated version of F-Zero X Expansion will come out
>know it won't

Attached: 1449007264402.gif (500x446, 64K)

>>probably wouldn't come with four controllers even though N64 is best known for being a party console
So buy more. The NES controller retailed for like 20 bucks. That's not that much.

That's inconvenient, which is bad when the sole benefit one these types of boxes is being a convenient alternative to setting up your own emulator for couch gaming. It'd be a good purchase if it came right out of the box with a bunch of multiplayer-focused games along with four controllers, RATHER than being separate buys

Good games on that list:
>Mario Kart 64
>Harvest Moon
N64 was trash and you fucking know it.

The only I could even consider a N64 Mini is so we finally get USB N64 controllers that aren't cheap garbage.

You seem to over estimate how desperate Nintendo is to sell these things.

So you'd rather have them package all four controllers and drive it up the base cost even more? Then you'll end up bitching about it being so expensive.

F-Zero X 64DD could indeed be a good extra, they did include that unreleased Starfox 2 game on the SNES mini after all.

a very convoluted system in any way you see it
also, rare games are a must

We could just hack the N64 mini to run roms right? i think it is possible to do this on snes mini

>yfw they drop Ura zelda

Attached: IMG_20190916_164543.png (639x568, 349K)

>yfw they drop dinosaur planet

Attached: 1551899025572.jpg (1536x889, 65K)

not having any of the Rare games

More likely than not, it'll be hackable really quickly after it's released. NES/SNES mini are insanely easy to hack.

if banjo got into smash he could get into a 64 mini

Oh my god I would nut so fucking hard if they released this

>no Goldeneye, TWINE, Perfect Dark, Doom 64 or Turok
>no winback
>no hybrid heaven

>releasing games that will require funding to get to a completed state
You retards don't understand WHY we got SF2.

god please

>not even 20
They'll probably have 12-15 games

If it doesn't have Quest64 I'm gonna have to cut a bitch

I agree, but those games you listed are also trash.

They wouldn't ship it without the only rpg on the system

surely Aydin Chronicles deserves a rerelease

If I wanted a console that had no games, I'd buy a Sony.

Based shit taste

The worst game I've ever enjoyed.

It couldn't have licensed games, M-rated games, or Rare. That leaves first-party Nintendo only. It'd have 10 games and Mario would be in half of them.

It just wouldn't sell.

>many of the killer apps like Rare's stuff would be absent because of licensing issues

If they were able to get Banjo in Smash, why would this be an issue?

>Mario
>It just wouldn't sell.
k den

The only good notable titles the N64 had outside from the ones made by Nintendo like Mario 64, OOT, Smash Bros, and Star Fox was literally any game made by Rare.
Mabey they're saving the Rareware games for a Rare Replay switch port???

Attached: 20190919_192801.jpg (1280x1280, 617K)

microsoft doesn't sell Banjo appearances in fighting games
microsoft does sell perfect dark
I imagine the goldeneye liscence is even worse, and the dk64 one is much easier

yes you are mistaken

We know boomer normies love MK64 but I doubt they will spend at least $100 just to play one game ( console plus at least one extra controller). Sure it's relatively "cheap" but it won't sell out like the previous mini consoles

>boomer normies
Shut the fuck up retard.

Why bother? I liked n64 but theres only about 10 good games.

Don't these things generally only have like 10 games anyway?

There's tons of good games on N64, but most of them either can't appear on the system or are too obscure to justify including.

TG-16 Mini has like 60.

NES Mini has 30. SNES Mini has around 20.

retard

they're trying to get the original hardware designer of the n64 on board but he's too braindamaged from years of huffing paint
