Velvet is a fast character designed with light attacks in mind, but a great ability to combo opponents in rekka-like chains; when her arm transforms, her attacks gain a focus on pure power, and gain some armor capability, but lose some speed.
Soul Gauge - Velvet starts with three souls on a five-soul gauge, that lets her chain three of her B moves & smash attacks up to the number of souls she has on-hand. Taking an opponent's stock, breaking their shield, or doing a spike spawns a soul onto the stage, which Velvet can collect while it's out to add a soul - getting shield broken or using her Down B will reduce the soul gauge by one for the rest of the stock, and losing a stock will reset the count to 3.
B - Searing Edge - Velvet slashes fire at her opponent in a straight line. Hitting B again in a soul chain activates Cerberus Wave, which causes Velvet to step back and place a flame tornado in her place.
Side B - Swallow Dance - Velvet kicks forward twice while airborne, second hit has the key knockback. Hitting Side B again activates Twin Whip, which causes Velvet to kick mid-air, then teleport & sweep the opponent.
Up B - Soaring Dragon - Velvet rises upwards with a twice-hitting flame kick, has some forward distance with the lateral distance. Hitting Up B again activates Rising Falcon, where Velvet juggles the opponent upwards in a flip, before kicking hard diagonally towards the ground.
Down B - Consuming Claw - Velvet releases her daemon's arm, adding strength & armor properties to certain moves at the cost of speed, and expending one soul charge. Velvet while constantly take damage in therion form, but can gain back percentage by hitting the opponent with her claw or pummeling them in grab. Reaching the end of a soul chain or hitting Down B uses Discord, three armored claw slashes that tear into the stage, intending to cause massive damage to any in the claw's path.
