Why is RDR2 so blurry?

This pic is in Full HD, yet the game still looks fucking blurry. I suspect it's Rockstar blurrying the shitty PS4 textures away

It's hard to believe it's been out for 6 years now and still has so little games. It's all been down hill after the PS2/Xbox/GCN. I kind of feel bad that zoomers never got to experience a good console generation. Probably helps to explain their shitty perspective on video games.

Because it's a console exclusive currently. The photo mode goes a long way to make it look better than it is during gameplay as well.

Postprocessing/antialiasing txaa+fxaa does this blur but you picture isnt that bad, i thought resident evil 2 remake as worse

Because it's barely 1080p on standard consoles, nerd. Xbox One X runs at 4k and has the best lighting and weather found in vidya.

All the new game i tried are blurry these days it's awful: re2, killzone, the last cod, rdr2... And i have a 4k tv

Definitely the worst generation in terms of game titles. The problem is there has been very little innovation. I cant think of many mechanics or ideas introduced during this gen that werent already present in previous gen games

Ever since Halo Reach TAA has been a favorite choice of developers but a lot of them don't bother trying to fix the ghosting problem

ghosting is a problem with framerate and resolution. increasing both alleviates ghosting

It's the TAA or some shit. Everything in that game is smudged. It legit looks so fucking bad. You can see comparisons in places like armadillo and the difference is night and day.

Not with TAA. You can be at 300 fps and 4k and it'll still ghost

ghosting is caused by slow g2g transition times when overdrive is activated on monitor. causing ghosting or overshoot.

Horizon Zero Dawn unironically is the best looking console game

This gen is much better than 7th gen what the fuck are you smoking. There's actual GAMES now instead of brown and bloom shit shooter garbage for the most part and thousands upon thousands of literal shovelware that was 99% of the Wii's library.

Bloodborne alone is better than anything in the ps3/360/wii.
