You can try washing it with soapy water, I have done that before but it will probably affect the texture and it takes a while to dry.

Thanks, the TV was my parents from the 90s, and I was able to get the monitor for dirt cheap back in 2014, even by the standards of prices back then. I've been quite fortunate
