The moment I start up a game in Steam, my YT video changes to some 5-to-7-minute ad. Is Steam telling it when I'm playing the game, or does YouTube collect info from the task manager?
YouTube detecting video games?

>People STILL don't block ads
dunno but while i load Steam, Youtube will stop working for some reason until Steam actually starts
not the PC's fault cause it's pretty new and i can't confirm the ads cause i block them all
Adblocker you dummy.
use adblock
Youtube has ads???
I haven't seen an ad in years.
Stop giving jews money
That's true. I put on a youtube video on my phone just before I take a shower, and it just seems to know I'm not in front of the phone and puts on a 5 minute ad.
after seeing the same horrible ad where the guy purposely spills coffee on his computer so many times to the point i clawed my head, i will and always shall use adblock, and if they force a bypass thing then i'll just never use youtube again. fuck that.
One, stop using chrome if you are. Two use uBlock Origin and privacy badger
Is there an adblock thingy for jewtube on the phone?
Newpipe or skytube
Adguard pro blocks ads system wide. Otherwise download Newpipe
This is a /g/ question user
>normalfags think ads on youtube are acceptable
use uBlock Origin you retard.
Newpipe or root your phone (I doubt you're going to do it kek) and get an ad blocker
Dude, (((google))) spies on literally every aspect of your life; it's common knowledgeat this point. You should be using an adblock and some sort of privacy extension at the least.
No they don’t.
>No they don’t.
You'd be surprised. My roommate treats me like I'm some kind of Technowizard because I installed Ublock on his laptop.
One Google search and two clicks, that's literally all it takes.
less than 10% of people on the internet use adblock
if you use google chrome, then yes, they can read what you're doing on your pc, other softwares that you use in order to show you different type of ads
if you have an programming IDE open, it'll show you programming ads
if you have music players like foobar open, it'll show you ads for spotify
here's the source and explanation

not for the Youtube app, which is garbage anyways
I just go through firefox, ublock works that way
Ads are tailored on most sites by what you search on the internet, specially if you use Google. There are also other applications and sites like Discord that process your data and sells them to advertisers.
>here are also other applications and sites like Discord that process your data and sells them to advertisers.
If you have discord installed on your pc they can track every single process and program you have running
Not because they like ads, it’s because a lot of people have no idea about adblock being a thing.
Seriously, my girlfriend literally didn’t know about adblock and how to install it so I did it for her. And she’s not the only one I know.
Yeah, like I mentioned in my reply above. A lot of people are still tech illiterate but they don’t have adblock because they like the ads.
Been meaning to switch from Chrome. Might go firefox. What browsers do you guys use?
Firefox
>my mom called me and was telling me about this house she wants to buy
>later on my phone, I started getting ads about home real estate, despite me every actually Googling anything
>was looking to by a certain. Game on Ebay
>on an app on my phone, and ad popped up showing the game I was looking for
Google needs to fuck off.
Who here /frugal/? Can't let Google's jewery steal my money if I just don't buy anything
I've noticed my youtube recommendations don't have nearly so much right wing extremism as it used to and has become mostly 'hey, guys! Literally Who here taking a look at video game flavor of the month!'
>implying jewgle doesn't get money with ads and by tracking your every move
I don't have any social media, have adblocker on everything, only use DuckDuckGo, and don't impulse buy. They can sell my data all they want but those ads aren't getting through to me
same
Get ublock origin and noscript
Youtube won't detect shit now and you will have no more ads.
