We brainstorm ideas for DMC 6.
Post your autistic ideas for new plot, new characters, new weapons, new game modes and of course, brand new styles for Dante

Dante needs break. You cant change him because purists will cry, but going through the same motions for three games is boring. DMC6 should be brand new protagonists, far below Dante's power level so they can have interesting fights and adversaries instead of roflstomping them. Remember that Dante beat the strongest demon in canon in the first game, 4 and 5 are him taking the piss and being a side character in his own franchise.
Alternatively, DMC0 with Sparda or a complete remake of DMC2.
Nero son is more evil than grandpa Vergil.
>DMC0 with Sparda
We'll get that around the same time we get a Castlevania game about the battle of 1999
>DMC6 should be brand new protagonists, far below Dante's power level so they can have interesting fights and adversaries instead of roflstomping them.

NEW protagonists, Dante DmC was a reboot attempt of Dante DMC
No Dante or Virgil for the main story at all, though both are unlockable extras. Though I can't think of who to have as playable besides Nero. Having only one playable character in the story seems wrong now.
>We brainstorm ideas for DMC 6
my idea is its not shit like all those before
It was also a lower power level. Just because it's supposedly weaker doesn't make it better, in fact I fail to see how someone handling street level threats would be more interesting than Dante and Vergil carving their way through hell.
dagger, and spear or halberd weapons
SDT Nero
Well, the plot and characters from all the previous games are garbage, so why use those or call it DMC at all? You're literally better off making a new franchise and just lifting the mechanics.
This looks like dogshit.
It was terribly done and basically doesnt exist.
make the game dedicated to dante, you only play as him, to give him a proper sendoff
You look like dogshit.
After some time, Dante and Vergil finally stop fighting and decide maybe they should do something else and leave the Underworld
Meanwhile, Mundus has been making preparations for revenge since DMC1, and his plans are finally being set in motion to once again enter and conquer the human world
Dante and Vergil chase Mundus and his minions through the Underworld, eventually coming out on the other side to the human world
When you beat the Dante/Vergil story, you unlock the Nero story set in the human world, where Nero attempts to stave off the demon invasion
Beating both stories unlocks the true ending scenario where all three of them must work together to defeat Mundus once and for all.
The main new feature for this game will be the ability to swap between Dante, Vergil and Nero freely during the mission, sort of like tagging in a fighting game.
This is what I want to. Possibly happening in the period between DMC3 and DMC1
You're a teenager.
I'm 25 but whatever helps you sleep at night
Neither are interesting frankly. What the characters are fighting doesn't make the game interesting unless the storytelling is good, and it's not in ANY DMC/DmC game. Power level doesn't matter either, but I can tell you a character that shits on everything isn't interesting as a main character because there's no conflict. These are storytelling basics here.
>I want literally just Sonic Heroes but with Dante
Imagine Dante laying on a bed, spreading his muscular, fat cheeks open with his strong arms, waiting for you to dive deep into his ass.
No, I'm pretty fit, tall, and handsome.
You're a blatantly lying and evidently stupid teenager.
just like all dmc
I don't think there is a compelling story that you can make after 5. 5 was a mess writing and pacing wise.
The best you can do is something like Vergil and Dante searching for Sparda in hell, but what do you then? Bring back Mundus? Make Sparda evil?
Either is meh
whatever helps you sleep at night.
DMC is a series for stupid teenagers so I don't see what your point is
Ok, post it. How would you make a "good" dmc, smartass
>No new characters, just the ol dmc crew
>Dantes the main protagonist and not bitch boy nero
>open world in a city where you ride cavalier and do demon hunting stuff to upgrade your weapons and maybe redesign your office to look bangin.
>co op mode with Trish, Lady, and nero
> Dante does qte finishers only to bossfights by using devil arms that theyre weak against.
>Antagonist is Mundus.
>can interact with the crew and play minigames like billiards anytime
>ONLY two arms
Demons from Space.
>open world
>co-op
>QTEs
this wud be cool.
Are you okay? You seem upset. I sleep great because I'm usually nutting into some fresh puss every night
you must be angry at me for that...
honestly considering Dante and Vergil are (sorta) reconciled, the family conflict should move to Sparda with him as the villain, he's the only one it makes sense to be stronger than Dante anyway.
Uroboros is secretly becoming active again under new leadership, but they have problems with old experiments escaping and killing their men, so one of their agents pretends to be a concerned citizen and hires Lucia.
Unfortunately, Hell demons mix in with mutated artificial monsters, proving to be too much for one demon hunter, so before she falls into Hell defeated, Lucia can only send a quick message to DMC agency.
With Dante and Vergil still on their road trip to Hell, the ones to get the message are Trish and Lady, so together with Nero they try to fix things from human side, while Dante is the one to find Lucia in Hell, and they have to find a way out.
That's all I have. I guess Mundus would be easy to include as the driving force behind the new Uroboros leader. Nico would also have a bit more to do with the plot, with both her parents once being employees of the company.
Why would Sparda be a villain
Dante surpassed Sparda by the end of 1
you suck
contrived reasons
maybe reveal that it was superstitious humans who led the demons to Eva to have the family killed
maybe he looks at the state of the world and humanity and regrets saving them, declares them unworthy etc.
just remake DMC2 entirely but as a good game, add the new cast members like Nero and gang to the plot, make The Despair Embodied the final boss
QTE as finishers only in bossfights.
Open world is good
Co op is good
you still suck.
think he won't be as a good as the last one but is as good.
Nah, that's too much drama for this series. It would either get DMC2 levels of depressing or be simply ridiculous in light of cuhrazy woohoo style of writing Dante.
Sparda forbade Dante to have pizza and sundae for dinner, and it's obvious that Dante disobeyed him.
DMC1, 3, and most of 5 were all tragic and dramatic, 5 only barely has a happy ending because Nero.
Gotta agree with this, not to mention you can struggle on a fight your first go, and then see the boss completely annihilated in the following cutscene
DMC2 happens before DMC4, so you can't canonically add Nero.
You have never played a DMC I your life.
The only unexplored lore is Nero's mom, so make DMC6 centered around that. I'm a total Dantefag, but I think it is time to cash in after 10 years of build up and make Nero the main protag; relegate Dante to Vergil's position, i.e., DLC characters with non-unique bosses and enemies that you unlock at the end and Bloody Palace mode. This gives each protag a nice trilogy
Dante's
DMC3 (Alpha prologue) - DMC1 (main act) - DMC5 (Alpha-Omega ending)
Nero's
DMC4 (Prologue) - DMC5 (Finding his heritage, unlocking true DT) - DMC6 (closure, maybe a tie in prologue for a brand new protag)
DMC6 is a VR dating sim by Illusion where you play as Nero in first person and hang out with Kyrie and use Sweet Surrender on her.
Make DMC unnerving again.
Oi. We're do I go for those slick cinematic combo clips for DMC dudes?
Oh boy! Here we go again:
>Setting
>Burg Mephitz; German castle town on a mountainside surrounded by dense forest
>built on top of an ancient cave system, housing a Hellmouth (a type of living Hellgate). Once served as a refuge for heretical knights, now is owned by a Hammer Horror cult called the Plutonians
>Plutonians have been making large group sacrifices in order to awaken the Hellmouth, and summon their lord Mundus into this world
>7 main members; Mocata is their Aleister Crowley-style leader, the rest are humans gifted powers by Mundus. Some of which are ex-Order members
>environment is highly destructible, with boss battles all taking place across different terrains like the Goliath fight
>players can introduce this into their regular combos; pick up and throw a loose bench, slap people around with a lamp post, send enemies flying through fragile walls, etc. The area is (mostly) enchanted to reset itself after a while, so areas constantly repair.
>the cult has multiple mini-portals across their base (think the Mirror Dimension in 1), meaning the player takes quick detours into different corners of Hell throughout the whole game, rather than the usual one location for the end
>lots of interactive bookcases/plaques a la 1 in order to deliver lore and backstory
>other locales include; the castle-manor itself, the surrounding rustic town, the mountain peak, the deep forest, the caves below, and various parts of the demon world.
>has a classic Resident Evil/DMC1 and 3 cris-crossing layout, but each player character has particular traversal abilities that lead them to their own unique areas
>Vergil
>can be equipped with two weapons at a time, swapped with R2. Third weapon slot, activated by holding R2, is a dual wield
>projectile attacks change with each weapon.
>Yamato, Nelo Angelo sword, Nightmare Alpha (gauntlets and grieves), Caim (a crow-themed saber), Black Shuck (a large kanabo/cage with a dog-like, spiney demon trapped inside) and Acala (evil Buddha prayer beads and pauldrons that do punch and kick attacks)
>holding L2 auto-fires projectiles, but at a weaker and slower rate
>Summoned Sword style attacks can be charged to max using DT. Holding square then pressing L2 summons a familiar, V style
>Yamato = Doppelganger. Nelo Angelo sword = a support unit of knights. Nightmare Omega = a single heavy attack from Nightmare. Caim = not-Griffon. Black Shuck = not-Shadow. Acala = a wrathful, phantom giant
>Doing this with your Dual Wield does Super Attacks (Slash Field, "Slay All", MvC style finishers, etc), at the cost of big chunks of DT
>Vergil can regain DT with a "Counter Attack" system; hitting an enemy JUST before they attack you "tags" them for a release attack. If this is a killing blow, the enemy remains frozen/stunned until you hold Select to release them.
>With Yamato, it means enemies freeze and Vergil keeps his sword drawn. When he sheaths it with Select, they drop dead, samurai movie/Shinboi style. This gains DT, and looks slick. Also says a line of poetry when he does it.
>beyond that, he's essentially the same as before with minor tweaks.
Why would the 3 of them need to team up to defeat mundus? 1 dante beat him before, and 5 dante is stronger than 1 so having also post-fruit vergil and nero angelo gang up on him seems like unnecessary overkill.
Unless you'd go the route of the power up mcguffin again but this time is not a fruit is something else, but that'd be boring.
No thank you
Too much human blood in him to get that far
Vergil and Dante going through hell just like the divine comedy did. We should get a game with them because that's a bretty gud continuation from where five left off. Story can be as wacky as it always was because the characters are what everyone likes. And stick mundus there because it'd be cool to see him again in a hype new battle.
>Nero
>Devil Breakers are replaced by Devil Amplifiers
>Nero now wears a sort of cyber-bracer on his arm that augments his own demonic power, rather than using other demon's power via the Breakers
>the wrist part of the bracer is interchangeable, and harnesses his power for different effects, save as the Breakers
>eg; Gerbera.2 allows him to use his wings better, allowing for dashes, deflection blasts, launching feathers as projectiles, etc. Overture.2 summons a solid giant fist so he can punch. The Breakage move has him overcharge the Amplifier, and tag an enemy (or object) with it.
>because some members of the Plutonians are ex-Order, Nero can find replacement rev-sword modules that change the effect Exceed has. Eg; one is a Plasma Module that surrounds the blade with an energy field, drastically increasing attack range and shooting shockwaves with successful Ex-Acts
>Colour-up has interchangeable ammo too. Demonic Charge Shots are now a dedicated "Breaker". Explosive rounds, penetration rounds, "drill" rounds, etc.
>Buster can now also pick up and throw/attack with pieces of the environment
>You can change what your next "Breaker" is a la Pasta Breaker, with a directional button, but must still break the current one to access it
Because something something Mundus is extremely extra overpowered now
Who gives a shit, it's not that important
>One playable character. Demon hunter. Preferably Dante's offspring
>Missions system. Bosses change the environments similar to how the demon gates change the surroundings in DMC4. Bring back puzzles and good level design. They're sorely missing even if they were piss easy in the previous games. They made some throwaway missions in past games more memorable. Plays similar to Catherine where you can visit areas between demon hunts.
>You have a home where you can sleep and eat in. Nero works at a bar where demon hunters congregate. He keeps most of Dante's weapons. Kyrie works at an orphanage.
>Vergil is in human prison but on his own volition. He has a deal with the government to spar with Dante periodically. Dante goes missing and you become the replacement. You fight him periodically throughout the game and he becomes harder each time. Optional weapon if you beat all of them. Losing will still progress but will change dialogue.
>Trish attends to the Devil May Cry shop and she passes off some of the jobs to you.
>You can ask the supporting cast advice between demon hunts.
>Bosses give unique weapons same as usual.
>Better camera. DMC5's camera feel like a step back from DMC4's.
>Ability to change targets while moving. They had this for DMC3 and they still haven't brought it back.
>Bring back stuff like Free Ride or Wall running. Bring back crazy combos. I miss stuff like Wild Stomp.
As usual, This is unrealistic. The DMC games and even modern Capcom games aren't big games. They usually rely on replayability or grinding to pad game time. My suggestions are either controversial or aren't fleshed out but I hope something like this comes from the future.
Wankers
This but the new characters would be in the same universe. Also no DMC0 because they're probably gonna fuck it up. Vague, left to imagination is always better than clarification.
It is kind of is important because bringing back mundus is even bigger fanwank than bringing back Vergil, which DMC5 just did. It drives home the idea that people are out of ideas for DMC
>amateur devil hunters
>get in over their head
>brings back the creepy vibe of DMC1
Would play
>bringing back mundus is even bigger fanwank than bringing back Vergil
But unlike Vergil, Mundus explicitly vows to return when he's defeated in DMC1
That fact that he hasn't come back yet it surprising
He hasn't come back yet because Dante beat him in 1 and has only become stronger since. Hell, Vergil apparently would have beaten him in 3 if he hadn't been injured from fighting Dante. There'd be no challenge and it would only end up underwhelming.
>DMC6
>Set in three different time periods
>Past event where you play as Sparda
>Sparda faces Mundus, is only able to seal him away
>Timeskip to current year, a Cult following Mundus starts shit on Earth after the big Qliphoth got him a way out
>Dante, Vergil and Nero beat down the cult and kick Mundus back to Hell, Vergil gets closure
>Timeskip again to 20~ years in the future
>Mundus is stopped for good by the next generation
>Final quip is the new young devil hunter telling Mundus "my dad sends his regards."
>mundus and vergil fanwank
They both have good reasons to come back, it sounded like both Mundus and Vergil were supposed to return for 5 anyways. And really all the fags who are actually asking for new characters are the ones with unrealistic expectations. The twins and Nero will clearly still be the focus of the story
Literally just more of the same but better. That's all I want from this series for ever and I'll never tire of it.
Give it good combat and aesthetics, the story doesn't have to do much other than fill the time between fights. Keep the puzzles and shit to a minimum. Co-op bloody palace would be rad.
>And really all the fags who are actually asking for new characters are the ones with unrealistic expectations. The twins and Nero will clearly still be the focus of the story
Exactly. Although I wouldn't mind them changing the story formula a bit, world ending threats all the time gets tiresome.
>The twins and Nero will clearly still be the focus of the story
Did you forget when Itsuno said DMC5 was the end of the Sons of Sparda story?
Completely new MC and enemies. Dante and other could be mentioned or have a cameo appearence.
Make DMC6 set before DMC1, this way you can make Dante underpowered and use that as an excuse to change Dante a little bit, my best option would be sort of integrating his style moves into his standard moveset
It could just as likely mean they're done with the Sparda family drama. Polls taken after release showed that people still love Dante the most.
:(
What like dmc3
>my best option would be sort of integrating his style moves into his standard moveset
Style system is pretty much perfect the way it is in 5, the only reason people took issues with it in 4 was because Dante as a whole was gimped. Those suggestions to 'integrate' style moves always end up with less moves and more awkward controls.
>DMC6 releases
>We get actual Dante instead of the retarded meming immortal power rangers cringelord we're stuck with now.
>Nero doesn't exist as a character and Dante just gets a new sword named Nero so we can stop wasting time with this angst-y faggot.
>Vergil is still dead because bringing him back for a flaccid as fuck fight and a bunch of nonsense plot points did nothing anyway.
>Plot follows Dante making his way through some gothic whatever that has actual level design and the story has some semblance of intrigue instead of chunni sentai shit that goes no where and means nothing.
>Styles are actually fleshed out instead of being convoluted input gates that you spam through just to do decent combos.
>All weapons from every game return.
>Everything is unlockable in the perfunctory Blood Palace mode so that combat autists don't sperge out about the story mode having too many puzzles or some other random dumbshit complaints.
Lolololol
>autistic ideas for new plot
Dante and Vergil have to cooperate to escape from hell, which is actually a dangerous place because Mundus is alive and stronger than ever
>new characters
Not necessary
>new weapons
I'd like to see a whip, or a soccer ball as the gimmick weapon for Dante
>new game modes
Paralel story mode on Earth with Nero, Lady and Trish.
Coop mode. Dante + Vergil and Nero + Lady + Trish. No character switching
Also new challenge modes, like a lava floor mode, and bring back the must style mode. And for fucks sake fix the AI
>brand new styles for Dante
I'd like to see a Gravity control Style for Dante. It'd be beautiful to see more verticality in the game
More crazy weapons for Dante for 6
>Styles are convoluted input gates
I didn't know DMC1fags are this retarded. It's literally press a direction to change styles. Are you that dumb?
Nobody said remove it you ESL retard.
She(?) draws dicks good
>Styles are actually fleshed out instead of being convoluted input gates that you spam through just to do decent combos.
>Provides no solution for given "problem", other than "lol just fix it"
Are DMC1fags the Melee fans of DMC?
It's such a silly complaint with how the styles work in 5 too:
- DSD SM gives you summoned swords which you can control independently from DSD and which can launch, push or hold enemies
- Cavaliere normal and SM combos can be mixed and matched
- Cerberus SM has entirely different properties from normal attacks
Balrog is probably the one that handles the most like it did in 3 and 4 but even there I really like it.
Nah that'd be 4babies. 1fags are a peculiar brand, I've seen one of them hardcore argue that the level design of 1 represents Dante going through depression, or how can you forget how most of them say that Kamiya always wanted a reserved Dante.
>I've seen one of them hardcore argue that the level design of 1 represents Dante going through depression
Jesus Christ, really?
Yeah, one of those people who said 1 is the only proper game etc.
>one of those people who said 1 is the only proper game etc
What the fuck does that even mean? I like DMC1, but seriously?
I feel sorry that you spent so much time on this and got so few (You)s. But it just needs a lot of work. Sorry, user.
ikr
I dunno. After DMC3 no one would have expected Nero to be a thing but I like him, so I guess they'll probably surprise us a fair bit.
Have Dante get put out of action for a bit so that Vergil can take the role of protecting him for a bit.
I want someone to dual wield Yamato and DSD.
Maybe like Sparda and Rebellion merged, maybe Yamato and DSD can fuse?
All 3 swords came from Sparda originally so I want see his full power combined again.
If Nero gets a Sin DT I'd want it to be from wielding DSD or Yamato for a bit. Have it be like how Dante wielded Sparda in DMC1, a temporary but overwhelming power boost.
Since Dante and Vergil get four wings I'd give Nero 4 wings as well.
Though to keep with his whole arm theme I'd have it so the four wings were all arms as well, so he'd have 6 arms.
I'd want DMC6 to be a grand finale to the series. End things fully.
Since it would be the full end bring back every weapon, playable character and costume you can as a bonus.
DMC1 is my personal favourite because of atmosphere, art design, simplicity and map layout and I like the fixed camera sue me but I don't understand why you'd prefer DMC1 on the basis of character or story.
The fixed camera can really make the environment stand out and look decent.
Also does help hide items.
Vergil playable day one provided you meet the prerequisite for unlocking him.
I can understand and respect that. I just don’t like it when DMC1 fanatics try to downplay the other games to prop up 1 more. Almost all of the games are good, barring one or two exceptions, and they each have plenty of strengths and weaknesses.
>there's a motivation meter that you have to fill up to unlock him
sounds neat
The new sidekick is Nero's mom. She has a grudge against Virgil because he knocked her up and never called her again. She attacks Dante because she doesn't know Virgil had a twin brother and she thinks Dante is just a poorly disguised Virgil. So they have to find Virgil so Dante can prove he isn't him, but he's gone missing.
Plot
>Dante and Vergil try to find their father in hell
>focus is on the duo working together and growing closer as brothers
>maybe Mundus pops up again but he's a laughably easy joke boss since they've both long surpassed him
>new big bad demon villain or maybe Sparda himself who's revealed to be a dick
Weapons
>spear that can be spun and thrusted
>kusarigama or meteor hammer
>super fast daggers
>bow that can fire shit tons of arrows really quickly
But Dante and Vergil aren't identical anymore
>socially autistic Vergil summons demons to fight in his stead to escape from Nero's mom and the DMC squad
Dante gets a halberd and greatsword as a weapon
>or maybe Sparda himself who's revealed to be a dick
No, fuck that. Dante and Virgil finally find their dad and he turns out to be an asshole? Fuck you for even suggesting it. I want Sparda teaming up with his sons to whoop incomprehensible quantities of ass.
You are that dumbass who bitched about giving Nero arsenal to Dante?
Again, she doesn't even know Virgil had a brother. They met in a bar, they were drunk, he banged her, and then he left before she woke up. That's the grand story of how Nero was born. She thinks Dante is just Virgil in disguise. You try remembering exactly what someone you had sex with once two decades ago while you were blitzed looks like. Fortunately there aren't that many stunningly handsome young men with hair as pure white as undriven snow.
Is this from your fanfiction?
The entire series is about family drama it's definitely possible
We barely know anything about Sparda personality wise for all we know he might regret saving humanity
Maybe he'd be happy to see his sons again but disappointed that they embraced their human side, and the brothers have to reluctantly stop him from doing x thing and try to appeal to his love for their mother
Isn't everything in this thread fanfiction?
>The entire series is about family drama it's definitely possible
Yes, so to finally see Dante and Virgil put that shit behind them, and having big daddy Sparda join them, would be immensely satisfying. I mean Jesus fucking Christ, the two of them are, what, 30, 40, I dunno, at least old enough for Virgil to have an adult son, but they're still fucking squabbling like a couple of five-year-olds?
Sparda would be more interesting as a villain than just another wacky woohoo action buddy
Maybe they could end the game with them reconciling as a family after Dante and Vergil kick his ass
Sparda should best be left as a legend period. Dante and Vergil have the entire underworld to explore, I'm sure they can come up with something interesting.
>Four espectral wings
>Bigger demonic crystal on his elbows
>Some aspects similar to Sparda
>DSN with energy coming out of it
I like your idea but the drunk bar shit is just shit. Doesn't suit Vergil at all.
Capcom can do whatever the fuck they want, just like they made them different-looking.
Isn't it canon that Vergil fucked hookers in back alleys?
Space aliens ask Dante for help in killing demons on their planet because big tree
Reuben?
This but no Mundus, save him for Dante's son, duh.
Unless he pulled a Credo and randomly transformed Red Queen where would he gain Devil Sword Nero from?
Devil may cry 6(6) takes place 15 years after dmc 5. The main arch of the story is a road trip around not America, hunting demons and chasing a reincarnating Mundus. The main playable characters in this game are Nero, Nico, and Nero's kids Ceasar and Brutus. Nero's playstyle has gotten even heavier with age, and now has built in devil breakers that he can swap out. Nico has a Devil Breaker Exosuit that let's her hunt Demons, and the twins are a tag team character. The old crew will show up along the way, but this is a Nero based story, Dante isn't playable in the main campaign though he does have a story mode.
And here's my combat idea for Caesar and Brutus
>tag team character
>Brutus is melee brawler while Caesar is ranged mage
>Brutus uses a culmination of Dante's fist weapons, with the rev mechanic from Nero's red queen
>Caesar uses V's book and uses a mix of summon swords and Griffon's ranged attacks
>DT is called tantrum, all moves become overcharged like Tomboy but harder to control
>Attitudes are taken from Nero; Brutus gets a young Nero's brashness and attitude, Caesar is more akin to current Nero who is far more reserved in his age.
>Colour scheme focuses on purple, Magenta for Brutus and violet for Caesar
>Nero's kids
>tag team
>both have just one demonic index finger
>JACKPOT TO CLEAR THE SCREEN
Nero doesn't need prosthetics after the end of 5 anymore.
He still uses breakers though
>I don't understand why you'd prefer DMC1 on the basis of character or story.
Because Dante actually had a character outside of being a dumb teen aged up forty years.
The first cutscene of the game has him deliver a Marvel style quip and slow down time.
>misses the entire character
Dunno, demons and shit.
Sparda had a sword of his own by unknow means, so who knows?
Give the Devil Knuckle a MAX-Act. I was thinking hit the right timing and summon a single sword. Any other ideas?
Yeah but he knows it's a great tool in his kit. You'd get more and he able to swap between them
How was my idea of a tag team character?
>What is DMC3
>this is what DMC1fags actually believe
Yes a whole five minutes of character
And don't pretend like he didn't always have quips, or are you forgetting
>flock off featherface
Just imagine user
Go back to formula
