Think of the developers anons, they have nothing to eat..
Did Undertale single handedly popularized this mechanic?
considering Melee did it all the way back in 2001, no
No? This happened in multiple games from the PS2 era
>congratulations on beating this game
What a funny girl, she's pretty cute
Felt really happy when this happened in mario odyssey :)
Good.
The money goes to the publishers and not the people who actually worked on the game though.

akame ga kill was way better, despite being the trainwreck that it was
I hope you mean the manga. Because the anime was trash.
we don't talk about the anime around here
which cutie is this
mato seihei no slave. she can see you, even when you're masturbating
thanks its shit
the premise is questionable but i think the real fault lies in the power creep, doesn't seem like the manga was made to last beyond a oneshot
how come games are the only medium to do this?
What if Epic paid them so I could pirate their game?
They're the only medium where the consumer is directly involved in it. You don't contribute to a movie or a song. You do play through the game and beat the enemies in your path, though.
you don't contribute to a game either, unless it's some creative game
You do get thank you notes when opening a lot of tech related products.
But yeah, other mediums generally don't care to thank your patronage.
Maybe contribute wasn't the right word, but you know whait I meant to fucker. You contribute to get to the credits, you're manually inputting stuff into the game that leads to the story actually happening. With both movies and music albums, you can simply sit down, even close your eyes and do absolutely nothing and in an hour it'll be done. Games have the person buying the prodcut involved in them, so it's normal if 40 hours later during the credits the developers are like "yo thanks for playing until the end, have a drink on me"
god I fucking hate isekai so much
You think the people at the bottom gets the money?
Does this actually mean anything to you guys? I'm no turbo cynic, but it just feels meaningless to me.
yeah I suppose it's a more personal experience that requires effort on the players part, it's more than just a timesink
