How about some context you worthless piece of trash

fallen

From the filename I'd assume it was someone asking if their future games would still be using mana

>mana.jpg
Jewhan is saying that mana, that worthless trash mechanic, is here to stay.

AI?

Rattish

What happened here? Germany just sent its whole army to India to die?

Essentially. Poorly defended beach heads in Europe + entire army in India and Africa

Reminds me of a game I did as the USA. I didnt join the war till like 45. Heres a pic of the end. I actually have alot of games were I let the nazis win but I dont join till like 45ish. I have a game were I was a democratic reformed Nat china who joined the allies in 48. Man fighting a victorious Germany which controls all of Europe Asiaexcluding china korea and japan and Africa is a slog.

Paradox are a rare instance of being literally the only people making a certain kind of game. Now that we've lost the La Mulana team due to piracy I feel like we should support these guys better.

And by "we" I mean "you morons who actually pay for games." EA doesn't need your patronage.

can you guys please explain for a brainlet what mana is exactly?

Monarch points. People dont like them because they are to removed and dont really make alot of sense. Like why does hiring a new general set back your military tech half a year? Paradox hates it being called mana and claims money is basically mana as well and no one complained about it. Theres more then a few in depth vids talking about it. The origin of the name was someone made a joke you play as a wizard draining different kinds of mana from the ruler of the nation.

One thing to add is that you can stockpile it and when spending effects are usually imidiate, so it can lead to some absurd situations.

so instead of saying like 'build a factory here' and it'll take x amount of time/turns i instead accumulate resources and then decide i want a factory and then boom factory?

>"Bitches"
EU4 is 6 years old and they still sell it for 40$
Paradox released 12 expansions for it, ranging from 5-20$ (those worth buying are 20$), and a shit load of cosmetic DLC's
Game is boring without any expansion packs
Paradox purposefully makes vanilla less balanced by doing free updates that add like 10% of content from expansion packs, which makes vanilla feel unfinished, with many useless mechanics that make no sense if you don't have the expansion pack for them
At least it has mods
Fuck paradox

No money is the resource people dont have an issue with part of way is the way its gained and lost. Think of it this way say you want to develop better weapons for your military. Well first your gonna need about 600 sword mana. You gain mana each month based on how good your leader is a number 0-6 your advisor and 3 base so you gain about 3-12 a month theres events that give and take randomly and a few other sources but those are the main. This reveals the 2 big issues first the way you gain mana almost all of it comes from your leader and just gets added to a pool at the end of each month. You also dont slowly develop new tech you spend large lump sums to develop it all at once. It also leads to retarded shit since all the manas are used for different things. Diplo mana affects your trade and naval tech but is also your "genocide" points. Really its hard to explain all the issues in fuckin Yea Forums posts. Learn to play EU4 or watch some vids. Youll figure it all either way.

Basically

Hebrews

Got EU4 when it first came out, and thought the system being used for research was the stupidest thing ever. I didn't mind it's use for other things, though. I would have liked a return to EU3's research system instead, it made more sense. In the end, I got tired of my long games being constantly broken every time they patched the game, and Steam not letting me refuse the patches. So, I went back to EU3.

You can run older versions through Steam's beta signup
