The X52 is the same base design just better in every way.

This is objectively the best joystick ever made, though. Call me when your fancy "new" stuff has any of the basic features we had 20 years ago.

Decent back in 95, maybe.

Okay homo

useless being left handed...

You can cut down the bump on , and then flip the whole throttle on and epoxy it back into place, then just change the axis configuration to reversed in software.

Being a lefty is fucked, and what's even worse are the retards who say "hurr just play right handed like real fighter pilots!".

Old X52s were great, but modern models are beyond trash.

suck it the fuck up daisy faggot you think military gives a fuck if the real pilots are left handed?

i have old one.
New ones are better old ones had beyond retarded ergonomics.

Best joystick on market for the money: x52 pro
best driving wheel on the market for the money: g25
best pc speakers on the market for the money: that logitech 5.1 surround system
how can one company be so based?

That's a HOTAS

All you'll ever actually need.

Attached: logi_extreme3dpro.jpg (800x800, 56K)

It's a fair argument though. You're playing a simulator, it's only natural that it would simulate this stuff too.

Try playing ED VR wthout mouse or keyboard with it.

>hurr just play right handed like real fighter pilots!
>every single plane has throttle for left and stick for right
bruh it doesn't matter jou're starting from 0, just use correct placement.
Go complain to car manufacturers and government why you can't get more cars with RHD because you can't "hurr just drive lhd like real racing drivers"

>Best
>Saitek

lmaoing at your life

Falling for the FFB meme

This nigga knows where it's at

>>Go complain to car manufacturers and government why you can't get more cars with RHD because you can't "hurr just drive lhd like real racing drivers"
This is more like people sperging out about someone moving the stick to the left or right hand side based on personal preference, rather than obeying either their countries road laws or the particular car they're currently simulating.

Throttle in left hand will never be "correct" placement for a lefty. It's a placement you can adapt to if you're a retard, in the same way lots of retards use right handed mice, but it will never be correct.

Warthog HOTAS anyone?

yes, you're useless being left handed...

based boomer

>no tweeest
I know it's realistic but fuck that. Unless you buy a rudder, playing the whole 5 games that need a HOTAS is now a massive pain.

Speaking of, are there left handed pilot configurations?

Does anyone know of a modern HOTAS stick that DOESN'T have the twist rudder?

i miss the X-45's rudder rocker. That was way better than this modern twist shit.

>Decent back in 95, maybe.
The trick is that one built in 1995 is still working flawlessly, and if for some reason it isn't then replacement parts for it are still being made to this day.

Their primary business is real controls for real equipment.

A10 Warthog one, maybe some of the Virpils?

I imagine you're told to fuck off if you can't adjust.
There's absolutely no reason to cater to lefties if they're not willing to learn to be ambidextrous.

Potentiometers have been superseded by hall effect sensors, buddy. CH does put out nice products that are built to last, but a 30 dollar T16000 will blow it out of the water.

Y'all said the same thing ten years ago.
And again ten years before that.
CH stick keeps working without notice.

Heard they require tinkering due to potentiometers and all. Personally I didn't find a reason to move past T16000M+TWCS+T.Rudder Combo. I barely even need the last bit, especially that I have a metric fuckton buttons on a mouse numpad and mt Razer Tartarus. The only game that is even remotely fun is Elite Dangerous, and half of the buttons are use are probably QoL dupes.

Just bought one of these for VR Elite Dangerous. Are there any good mech games I can play with it too?

Attached: t16000m.jpg (1500x1015, 130K)

There's Mechwarrior... I guess? Heard it's not so good. I liked Vox Machinae due to VR but a HOTAS is overkill for it, X360 pad is enough.
Elite Dangerous, House of the Dying Sun and maybe War Thunder are as good as it gets for VR if you want actual games and not autism sims. Overload too, maybe, but I think it was meant to be played with twin sticks.

>tfw wanted to start a VR CQC Circle, but Elite Dangerous general hates CQC and /vrg/ only care about VRChat and Pavlov
>pubs are dead and only frequented by double-triple Elite rank autismos.

>Are there any good mech games I can play with it too?
Most PC mech games have joystick options. Getting it to work however can be a task. Of the mech games MechWarrior 4 has the best Joystick feel imo.

>that ForceFeedback when you ram the fucking thing into another Mech

Attached: An_Excellent_JPEG2.jpg (680x1020, 43K)

>ForceFeedback
God I miss having that.

Airbus has side sticks on the left side. Most vehicles are operated by your left hand in right hand drive countries anyway.

Glad it's still standard for wheels at least. I remember trying to just enable forcefeedback in MW4 on Windows Vista or whatever was already an impossible to accomplish monumental task, so yep, shit's dead.

I actually have that one and I hate the dead zone on the joystick.

lmaoing at you kids with your shitty plastic joysticks
at least get a VKB or Virpil

Attached: proxy.duckduckgo.jpg (1920x1080, 111K)

Imagine paying 10-50 times the price for at best a slight increase in "immersion".

I have more respect for people who buy direct drive wheels and load cell brakes.

BAKA if you aren't building a motion simulator for that much money

>no pedals
into the trash.

Have you ever used a VKB (for more than 5 minutes)?
It's not just about immersion.

They feel smoother, but it really doesn't translate to any kind of appreciable benefit. As long as you've got your shit screwed down, some 12 year old with a T16000 is still going to blow you out of the sky.

You can't buy skill, buddy. It's the same shit with dads buying direct drive wheels and getting pasted by boy racers with DFGTs.

I really wouldn't want to use a stick without soft center and resistance that gets harder at the edges, it's just so nice. I don't have to trim all the time because the soft center makes small adjustments that much easier and more intuitive. And these high end sticks are also very adjustable with different springs and cams, cheapo plastic joysticks don't offer this amount of customization and also generally have fewer buttons of lower quality. But yes, skill is the most important. If I had the choice I would still go for a nicer piece of hardware though. Why wouldn't you want to invest in your hobby you spend hundreds of hours with?

Do you people actually play competitive simulation games? Like I get it with iRacing, but who are you competing against in a flight simulator?

Does this kid seriously not play IL or something? What the fuck do you do, just run transatlantic flights in Flight Simulator or something?

Does Il-2 count as a flight simulator? I mean if you can get smoked by kids with Xbox controllers it doesn't really.

Why does it always have to be for multiplayer?
You can play DCS online but I personally don't care for it. I just want tons of buttons, good sensors that don't crap out after a few years and solid, non-plastic construction. Also, hard mounting instead of just putting it on a table is so much better, much more comfortable.
Would you only buy better shoes if you are competing in endurance running?

IL-2 might not be the most realistic but it's definitely not arcade.

This, casual niggers dont trim out their shit.

I also don't get it. I could justify Fanatec wheels and shit because it doesn't get more competitive than racing, but high end HOTAS? The only game that would justify that for me would be Elite Dangerous CQC mode, and that shit is dead.

>Would you only buy better shoes if you are competing in endurance running?
Up until a certain point. I wouldn't pay premium for some giga nigga tech that kicks in after you run 6 hours in them.

Which is a shame, CQC is the only thing that could get me back into elite. I got my cutter, there's nothing else to do

>Imagine paying 10-50 times the price for at best a slight increase in "immersion".

For some people it isn't even about the added immersion as so much as it's about interesting ways to control your game and
>I have more respect for people who buy direct drive wheels and load cell brakes.

And so you should because simracing is literally the best gaming has to offer and it only improves with higher quality equipment.
