I just ordered Ace Combat Zero earlier today for my ps2.
I loved AC04 but hated AC5, what will I think of Zero?

Depends on why you liked 04 more than 5.
In terms of mission design I think it strikes a strong balance between 04 and 5, with more variety than 04 but less scripting than 5

What did you love about AC4? And what did you hate about AC5? Either way I think you would like Zero.

Not him but the final mission of AC4 is one of the best final missions in vidya ever.
I also like the cutscenes and soundtrack.

I really did not like my squad in AC5, the chatter was very unpleasant to me. Also the UI for some reason, it seemed to 80's low tech, or something. idk weird little things bothered me. AC04 was just really great overall.

Zero is literally the antithesis to AC5, the mission design is much better, there's much more replayability, and the story is more nihilistic with less annoying characters (except PJ, but he's intentionally naive)

I probably wasn't as impressed with AC4's final mission as a lot of other people were. It's basically an expanded version of the final mission in AC2, which I had played years earlier.

Forgotten? I'm hyped for the new DLC.

I do enjoy AC4 most of the PS2 games myself but I just wanted to have a good understanding of what user wants out of Zero.

Oh you'll like Zero a lot more than 5 for sure. There's not a full squad to worry about. Although you will have characters with you. They aren't as annoying as 5's

ACZ has way better dialogue and characters than AC5. Even the enemy aces who only get 5 minutes of screen time have more character development and depth than your squadmates in AC5
