Favourite Videogame Tropes

In this thread we post and discuss reoccurring vidya cliches we love. I am gonna start.
>game has a scene in which female character gets tied-up
Gets me everytime. What are some of your favourite tropes, bros?

I love the parts where women are violently raped

...

bump

I love stronk women are just women with male characterization

>plane or helicopter crash
>the pilots and crew get killed instantly despite sitting on impact resistant seats and wearing crash harnesses
>the main characters who were sitting in the back on nylon webbing benches with no protection or training get tossed around and instantly get up and run off without a scratch

Games for this feel?
COOM COOM COOM COOM
I JACK OFF IN MY ROOM
AND WILL HAVE SEX NEVER
FROM NOW UNTIL FOREVER
COOM COOM COOM
I WANT TO GO COOM COOM
I'LL JUST JACK OFF FOREVER
FOREVER IN MY ROOM

>female character is implied to be in actual peril with threat of torture/rape/execution/etc
>there is no penalty for wasting time in rescuing them

Desert Bus (because of the vengabus)

I love fourth wall breaks. I know they're a bit passe by now because of undertale and nier and all that but I can't bring myself to get sick of them.

Thanks, mate

My favorite trope is when all the upgrades you get though out the game come from other charaters you met earlier in the game, or bosses turning into weapons

Based

That's pretty much the plot of every 80's/90's action game.

And people has 80s and 90s werent better times.

Indeed. That scene in Final Fight where they show Jessica tied-up on her dad's TV monitor was hot.

Not games in particular (though obviously applicable), but I love when a villain accepts defeat gracefully and recognizes the hero's accomplishment in some way. There's just something I so inherently respect about someone who is willing to go "well played".

>MC gets powered up by the power of friendship in final battle

>There is some sort of bar that's prevalent in the game and it breaks open in the climax

Capcom loves tying up their girls
