I want to make a simple gundam game, how do.

I have to build a new pc to do it.
Its going slowly.

This is about all I can do.
Going to try to learn C# at some point.

No because its 6 in the morning

I'm too retarded to know where to even begin. I don't even know what programs/languages people use to make games.

Google is your friend buddy.

Shit model

this, but only because I think realism is shit
stylize more

why is the mace model shit?

What do I search for faggot? "How to make games" is useless. Next time before you think your retarded LOL JUST GOOGLE IT DURR post is hilarious, please kill yourself instead.

I was not trying to be funny you autist.
If you were to google "how to make video games" and read a few links i'm sure even a self proclaimed retard like yourself can find a place to begin.

I recommend you start learning how to 3d model in blender.

Is it a real game if I made it using Game Maker Studio?

any good videos on learning a game engine like unity? couldnt find anything that was just like "heres everything you will ever need to know"

nice man shoulders bro

>gonna get mommy to buy me gamemaker
>never gonna use it or make a game with it
suck it poorfags

Attached: 1568828930665.jpg (540x680, 61K)

still working on the design documents, i'll get to implementing stuff soon
i've been in this loop for 8-10 years

i dont see why not.

stop being in that mentality where you feel like you should use a more advanced game making program just because people generally shit on game maker studio games.

Cute shitter.

I would literally rather work on oracle database than on a video game.

almost done, then in just over a month I get to read Yea Forums's in-depth analysis of how it's souless zoomer pandering and nothing like as good as the last one

How do you find a game jam or a team to join?

Attached: 56201173_1020498598144679_3454288307494584320_n.png (506x335, 58K)

join game jams and do game jams?

I think the team thing isn't as common.

Still trying to into Slade.
got all the textures/sounds/sprites ready, but holy fuck my mind just expels anything I read or learn.

>just join up lol
yeah but how?

I only know of Ludum Dare, but I know itch.io has some independent game jams that go on there intermittently.

check on /agdg/ i'm pretty sure they do game jams every month.

watch any "how to make a blank"series.
take what you've learned, then look at the documentation and try and figure out how to use that to get stuff you want to make.

once you learn the basic shit like ifs/ file paths/ and compiling, you're basically half way there.

I'm still at character design.
My team thinks one of my characters looks too much like mizutsune so i need to keep tweaking her.

May as well ask, what are the best pixel art tutorials I can find? Trying to make a game in rpg maker and would prefer to make my own assets.

>what are the best pixel art tutorials I can find?

other games with pixel art.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=FbCw-_iRdc8
Follow this and maybe some of the videos related to it.
Pixel art is relatively easy if you can draw. start with simple coloring, then start to shade when you feel confident in your work. Eventually youll get the hang of it.

I went to a concert today
So no
No work on game

>Why won't anyone spoonfeed me? It's too hard on my own
You'll never make it with this mentality.

Thanks for this, this is pretty cool so far.

Post it and a quick rundown on the setting and the character's role in it, maybe we can give you ideas.

Im creating a turn based jrpg in unity and learning c# along the way, I think its going well.
Initially Ive favored a composition approach by creating multiple monobehaviour scripts for my playable and enemy units (stats, skills, items) but it became a pain to manage. Ive found that a single Unit component class containing multiple vanilla scripts for my units data makes things easier.

I just want to make a simple village simulator (no farming and almost no player input) but I don't even know where to start.

Characteristics of the game:
>2D top down (probably easiest to work with)
>very simplistic graphics
>24 hour day/night
>complex NPC behaviour and characteristics (complex as in NPC does their daily cycle instead of standing in one spot whole day)

Tried Game Maker Studio but I wasn't able to implement time which is most important part since the NPC behaviour is partly based on time.

I haven't worked on it in about a year since I started working full time. I don't know how people manage to find the energy for that shit

No, real life got in the way. Still coming along nicely though, irl-bs will be done in a few days

That model looks fat asf

Fellow wagecuck here, just do one or two hours each day after work and as much as you can on the weekends. It'll take a long ass time, but it'll get done.

I like the idea of a game where you play on an old computer, preferably a retro dungeon crawler (That's why I'm using a screenshot of Wizardry as placeholder) but I probably won't ever do anything but tool around with some art.

Attached: computah.jpg (1197x568, 45K)

Is this the Rust graphics overhaul we're getting later on?

Monkey arms

If you can play it, it's real.

>those proportions
Jesus Christ

She got them birth-giving hips.

Her ass it's not big enough for how fat She is

Anyone use Gdevelop? How is that for a Gamemaker alternative when doing simple sidescrollers?

When is she expecting and whose the father?

>why don't you use le retro pixel art rrrreeeee

how do I make simple, but pretty, isometric spell animations?

Attached: Webp.net-gifmaker.gif (120x199, 40K)

>can make anything
>makes a fat white woman

Attached: 1545777160894.jpg (245x239, 41K)

I don't know, but I am interested in your game now, what is it?

It's slow, but I'm making progress.

How do I actually start making a game? How do I plan shit? My art is shitty but my programming is good so I can at least do that but for a 3D open worldish game I'd need to draw out maps or something right?

>makes a fat white woman
thats a grey bald bitch aint a whitey

Attached: 1560199124639.jpg (600x800, 42K)

I have slight skill with drawing/art, never tried a programming language but toyed around with the WC3 map editor a lot, and zero ability in creating music.
I have had cool, unique game ideas for years.
What do? Is it worth trying? Where do I start?

Cope
There's plenty you can do but I bet you haven't even started

fuck around in Game Maker and see where it takes you

The White Supremacist's disavows this grey entity, you have to be white to join our ethnostate.

An isometric SRPG that's about not being cancer to play (no perma death, random stat gains, a thousand generic units, a ton of boring shit to memorize, etc). It'll have only 6 units you can fully customize (except their attacks and weapon class, as they'll all be unique and have special hand drawn sprites), which you keep throughout the whole game. It'll use FFX's turn system (balanced to not be completely broken, but still fun).

Please tell me if SRPG fans will hang me.

how do i make something like pic related?

I've considered it but isn't Game Maker only for isometric old looking RPGs like old Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger?

Game Maker can be used for anything 2D. Undertale, Hotline Miami, Hyper Light Drifter, Risk of Rain, and Spelunky were made in Game Maker. It can be used for 3D but I wouldn't recommend it.

You can do 3D in game maker. It's just a very high level game engine that doesn't need much programming experience.

Huh. Now I'm really interested. I'll look into it, thanks Anons!

I just woke up. I'm going to work on it soon, I swear.

You're forgetting the best game maker game, Backfire. Now available for only 0.99 on Steam. Why don't all of you buy it, haha

Protip. If you want to create a game, dont be afraid to take 'shortcuts'. Games take a shit ton of time to create.
Don't waste your time by building everything yourself. Do not build your own engine. Its a waste of time. Unless you want to learn purely to code, might be a good exercise. Don't do it for a game. If you can find cool tech/plugins you can use for your game, buy/credit/use that shit.

Be efficient with your time. Do not reinvent to wheel, when you don't need to. Focus on cool gameplay and presentation and ofcourse work a lot on your project!

I'm using RPG Maker

>not making your own programming language to make your own custom engine

I spent two years making my own 3d engine in Java and OpenGL. I have earned the right to look down on you.

you could've spent those two years on actually making a game, congratulations

Attached: 1566245274249.jpg (485x456, 64K)

I can fap to this.

Are puzzle games like Bejeweled, Zuma, etc. hard to make?

no

Yeah. OK. Let's talk about that.

Lets say your playing a game like quake 2 or quake 4.

What would you like from a borg enemy type?

Great.

Attached: Triple H.png (686x534, 98K)

Here is how you crack the system.
If you manage to get a job in a low tech area that still needs CS stuff you can automate most of their shit under their nose and get paid to do nothing. At this point you can start working at a vidya or do whatever you want.

I pushed out a small demo recently after 2 weeks of nothing but coding and now I'm anxious about taking a break because I'm worried I'll fall out of working on it

More sexy big titty borg chicks

good color sense and study the basic principles of animation.

take some references sheets of females, bake AO into the Uv, multiplay it over some simple colors, and then draw in some cloth folds, knees, and the face makeup on the texture.

oh and I guess you also have to rig and animate that.

>What would you like from a borg enemy type?

Please no bully borg

If you're still here did you tie time as I assume hours of the day and then run a switch statement checking which hour of the day it is and then have a variable or an array set up for when the villager would be doing what at X hour?
From there you just set a single alarm that sets a global var for hour that every NPC can call.
It sounds like a rudimentary way of doing things at least.

cut some frames
make it fast and flashy

over shoot the animation more.
are they supposed to be crushing down after landing? Could bounce more, or kick up ice chunks on landing. Middle one should probably delay a bit more, or you could have a wave pattern.

I just went and teamed up with random people than needed an artist. I also helped out the other team with 3d models since they were all coders.

Been doing the writing side for the last three days, and I've got more done for both art and writing than I have any previous project, so that's something.
Might design the UI soon to take a break from writing but I'm working on a commission now.

Attached: 4649-2019-09-19-00;35;17.png (1799x696, 334K)

Working on the game engine. I'm making a 2D Crash Bandicoot style game so I'm getting all the crate physics and behaviors working before I start adding and tweaking things..
Getting slopes AND walking on crates working at the same time was a bitch but I've almost got it perfect.
Just need to make it that on attack you also break the crates below you. Got it working for a body slam but not for attacking normally yet.
I do have an early character design done. Might tweak it more, might not. I don't know yet.

Attached: Kanon.png (102x112, 2K)

I've added juggling, sorry for the insane 1-digit FPS, i'm also doing something else.

tfw no tutorials for nsfw mechanics scripting on any engine

What kind specifically? Do you mean like knockdown rapes or grapples or what?

Needs bigger breasts and a slimmer waist so that you can make out her apps and hips more

yeah, also been thinking about interactive stuff where you can enter rape state and choose how to use your body independently (limbs, holes, switch positions, etc.)

>tfw its impossible to ask for assistance

this user knows what's up
OP please do as he says

where the fuck would you even go on to ask about something like that?

fetish forums and hope for autists that know coding.

Yea Forums

Be careful with this. If you made it on company time and it becomes successful they have a solid case in court to claim the rights to whatever you made.

well, can you help then?

If I knew the first thing about game making my game would be a Home Alone inspired kind of game where you prepare a bunch of traps for burglars who would be invading your home. At night when they come you have to avoid being seen whilst doing everything to lure them into traps, sew discord amongst them by stealing the tools they use and planting them somewhere else. The goal either to get them out of the house without them stealing anything or to keep them trapped in the house until the cops arrive.

Well knockdown rape is pretty basic obviously using a state machine but how I'd go about it would be
>Player has a state called KNOCKDOWN
>When player is knocked down do an area check of X radius
>Any enemies in that radius have their state switched to something like TRACKPLAYER(for tracking down and moving towards the player)
>When an enemy touches the player set it's state to RAPE and Player's state to RAPED
>From there play out whatever animations you need to. Ideally have the animation be both player and enemy together and just hide the enemy while the player runs the animation
>Also do an area check of X radius(same radius) when you enter state RAPED to set any enemies to an IDLE state or however you want to go about enemy behavior
>Then once the animation has played out(whether you use buttons and run a var checking which animation is playing or just have it be a single animation) set the player back to whatever you need them set to(KNOCKDOWN or IDLE)
>Finally make sure you have a condition for enemies that if the player's state is RAPED they won't run their normal behavior so when you come out of it they behave as they're meant to.
That's how I'd approach it at least.

Just woke up so I haven't done much yet, but I was working on some tiles last night. It's a fortress mainly made out of stolen junk and scraps.

Attached: unknown.png (256x256, 32K)

>interactive stuff where you can enter rape state and choose how to use your body independently (limbs, holes, switch positions, etc.)
Depending on how you're approaching it I'd either make it a separate instance while hiding the player and disabling them but not destroying them(this is for if you have health, Lives, etc. or just have a set of vars set up to check what you can and can't do, what's active and what's available.
For example with switching positions
>spostotal = 2
>spos = 0
From here add whatever kind of controls to switch positions by attaching a number to an input.
>if(k_up) spos = 0
>if(k_left)spos = 1
>if (k_right)spos = 2
or make it an incremental check
Same with hole switching if you mean switching between vag and anal. Just set up a var that checks what hole then in your draw functions check if the animation should be the one for vag or the one for anal. Just make sure you reset them to 0 when the rape ends.

pretty insightful, thank you

Attached: .jpg (2000x2400, 1.87M)

I hope it at least gets you on the right track user.
