>His game now includes full remakes of Seasons and Ages
Aaaand worth $60. For less than a hundred grand (90% of the assets could he reused) this now sells twice as many copies.

doesn't matter how good or bad of a value it is, zelda drones will eat it up anyways so why bother
Nintendo should let Capcom make a new one. Capcom has NEVER made a bad Zelda game.
Get rid of the horrible blur and bloom anf then we'll talk.
anybody else bothered by the fact he's using the OOT Hylian shield? ALBW did the same time
mad
That's just the Zelda shield now for some reason
>the framerates were real
cant wait for pokemon
ninfags are the masterr of coping
It's not the OOT Hylian Shield, it's the one from TP onwards. OOT's has a 4th triangle on the bottom that they removed from all the later ones for whatever reason
>they removed from all the later ones for whatever reason
It throws off the color balance.
Since we are on the subject of shields, which is your favorite?
It also spawned endless speculation about a 4th Triforce piece.
Majoras mask one is my personal favorite in that pic.
Majora, Zelda II, and Link's Awakening in that order
MM is indeed the best overall with its complex and aesthetically pleasing design.
Tie between the Hylian Shield, Wind Waker Mirror Shield, and the MM Hero's Shield
Spirit Tracks is the coolest
>game Aonuma had nothing to do with (PH/ST)
>suddenly a spark of creativity
Nintendo, fire this man
You know now that you mention it, that is a little weird.
They have a whole engine for it. They're charging full price for it, I don't get why they wouldn't toss in the oracle games.
How do you feel about the Hyrule Warriors iteration?
I like the Magical Sword/Shield combo better.
Fuck no
Leave Ages/Seasons alone
Because they can sell you them later for $120
Honestly it seems more likely that they'd make 'em DLC.
That would have made it worth the price. Its possible they'll release a double pack with those games later or charge $60 a piece. While I hope for the former, I'm fully expecting the latter.
The Oracles were made by Capcom, so there might be some weird royalties deal that could make them a less profitable prospect. Plus, even though Link's Awakening and the Oracles share a lot of enemies and tiles, the Oracles probably have more new assets overall than they do old ones.
>His game now includes full remakes of Seasons and Ages
wait for real?
It is a pretty nice shield, but a bit visually busy.
No, they're proposing a hypothetical.
Those anime cutscenes are clearly a testing ground for something. They look gorgeous. Do we know who animated them?
No user meant it as a what if scenario
>anybody else bothered by the fact he's using the OOT Hylian shield?
It's technically accurate.
Link got the Hylian Shield from his uncle in LttP
Took it with him into Holodrum and Labrynna
Took it with him when he left on the raft and woke up on Koholint.
They said the whole toy aesthetic is supposed to represent Koholint's dreamworld nature. It wouldn't make sense to reuse it for Holodrum and Labrynna.
is the MM one supposed to to be a skull with wings for the red part?
I fucking love the magical sword and shield, it's so perfectly over designed.
Majora's Mask and Spirit Tracks are the best looking of the shields here.
the OoT Mirror Shield is the best in the series though.
I hope we get an original Zelda using this engine and assets but it seems like Nintendo is only interested in remakes now.
Spirit tracks just has so much meaning put into it its really hard not to like it.
>the OoT Mirror Shield is the best in the series though.
I fully agree with you.
Two problems:
Officially, LA now comes before the Oracles in the timeline.
Link doesn't bring anything with him into Holodrum or Labrynna, the Triforce flings him off with nothing but the clothes on his back.
On the other hand, those problems basically solve each other for your hypothetical, since Link not having been able to bring the shield with him in the Oracles doesn't matter now because they happened after LA anyway.
I remember those debates, funny how we did get instead a 4th goddess in Hylia.
OOT Hylian Shield and ALTTP/Oracles, but I like this design of the Zelda 1/2 shield and the one they did for HW
>horrible blur
It's called a tilt shift and it's integral to the toybox style they're going for
The guy who directed all the Flagship Zelda games works for Nintendo now
Nintendo should let Philips make another Zelda game.
I mean think about it, even if it was irredeemably awful it'd sell gangbusters just for the meme value.
It's an owl
Fuck off with your censored game.
where can i listen to the OST?
Fuck off with your shit artstyle game.
Its censored?
More accurately it's supposed to replicate the original game's basic art style. All they would do it's just get rid of the blur and make everything not look like plastic.
Then it just looks like ALBW's mediocre chibi artstyle
Minish Cap is extremely overhyped and gets carried by its charm.
xD LE CENSORRRR OH NO MMAMIII KLE XSLENCOFIN HFKHKKK AHAHAHAHAHA
Fuck off, cuck. KH3 is dogshit cope
youtube.com
Yeah, they cut the entire plotline about Marin's abortion.
Did they change the fish boss? It was such garbage in the original.
I'm undecided on the LA artstyle but holy shit does it look better than this.
it's like, the very slightest bit harder, stuff falls from the ceiling and he moves more
And it's shit.
It doesn't make any sense to make Seasons and Ages in that style, that'd be like making Minish Cap in full Wind Waker style without any modifications. New game or bust.
Say what you will about the LA remake, but it's the more attuned to what the original was trying to convey while having its own vision and artstyle. Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time for the 3DS are just muddled shit.
Well, the studio making this has only made one original Zelda, Triforce Heroes. They're practically Nintendo's Zelda remake pumper.
How do you all feel about the ending to the game?
I know it's not a secret what happens, since the game is old as shit, but these sorts of endings always leave me with a complicated mess of feelings.
I guess it's simple enough to have gone on the adventure and helped someone out. But the lasting memories will haunt you forever of the people that never were yet felt so real.
Or at least dream you went on an adventure.
I usually am not one to go down this route, but after actually meeting one and getting to know one very well by being co-worker to a Zelda drone, they very much will eat this shit up. He goes and says it was one of the best 2D Zelda games, and named others like ages and seasons, lttp, and even minish cap, and he goes on to start arguing about technical limitations holding it back compared to the others is why it should considered so high.
*meant to say I brought up all the other games he overlooks because of his nostalgia hype.
>snoygroids still seething
I always assumed the humans were all just seagulls stuck in the same dream vortex with you and the Wind Fish.
Aren't they at least partially echoes of Link's own memories? Marin is a reflection of Zelda in some way.
Their dream form, yes.
I was a child so I more than likely just interpreted it wrong, but given that Marin is shown to be one of the seagulls at the end I just assumed the same is true of the others.
>Officially, LA now comes before the Oracles in the timeline
This is from an encyclopedia that is not considered canon due to its frequent contradictions with established game lore, including this. What is stated in the games and game manuals is canon over said literature.
>b-but sony reeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!
who hurt you?
this
None of the games or game manuals confirm the relative placement of Link's Awakening and the Oracle games.
Capcom should stop acting like cunts for that to happen in the first place
squeal when
TAKE MY MONEY
is that not ralph?
Actually the official Japanese Zelda site has a timeline on it now:
>nintendo.co.jp
Richard from The Frog For Whom The Bell Tolls (Link's Awakening's spiritual prequel), though Ralph is probably based on the same
I like it. Lucky me.
I'm curious who the other characters he meets are meant to be reflections of.
I don't think ralph is based on him other than his world sprite
None of Nintendo's Zelda games are bad either. At worst, they're slightly above mediocre. And the majority of the Nintendo Zeldas are still better than the Capcom Zeldas.
