The gameplay is super bland. Not terrible, just boring.

I don't like Kaneko designs

My only problem with it was the way you summon demons; getting tarot cards and shit.
Other than that it was 10/10, and the battle system is my favorite of the series (ps1 only though cause everything relies on order and its really fun, the psp remake fucked it all up)

Play Innocent Sin through the PSP port, but Eternal Punishment you're forced to use the PS1 version because the PSP version is still not translated

For IS? It already has an official English release. Iwakura's still working on EP, but who knows when that's ever going to finished. As far as I know, it's just a two-man project, and one of them is already busy with other projects.

and lisa turned out alright. great thing about that game (that was partially lost in the reboot entries) was that everyone truly faced their darkness and worked to improve themselves. good starting cast became great.

There is a full patch for Innocent Sin on PS1 and the re-release on PSP, a shame there seems to be no patch for the PSP re-release of EP because both PSP games include some extra stuff.

As much as I want to do another playthrough, the random encounter rate is fucking terrible to sit through, and I'm not really a fan of slow the battle system is. It needs to display every hit an attack deals separately, and it gets really tedious after a short while.

It had a bad story that ruined Innocent Sin with worse gameplay and cast.

It was so terrible that they completely abandoned everything from it and start over anew, causing Persona 3 to be dating social life shit.

Effectively the reason why we never see Persona 1 and 2 anymore.

Because what is there to really talk about? People who already played the entire duology already know it's good and it provided its own conclusion. There's nothing to really discuss outside of some minor lore things (where the fuck was Naoya the whole time) and what Butterfly Man is up to.

I do enjoy reading fujoshis' takes on P2 though. They seem to like the dudes except for Jun and hate the girls except for Maya.

Persona 2 truly needs a remake. The gameplay is terrible but everything else is awesome.
