fantasy it takes place in a chasm, you are lowered in in a basket after the prisoners riot and take over, you must solve the issues by going to a number of places (I don't remember why) the graphics are like morrowind levelish? It was during the 2000's, I cannot for the life of me remember the game

ok well it's first person, you can learn to use melee weapons, nothing beyond swords bows etc, there's a magical component but I can't recall any details on that
you are trying to solve a mystery, IIRC it's how the prisoners overthrew the guards and some kind of way to take control back from them without them realizing what you're doing.
