underrail has amazing AI
Underrail has amazing AI
FIRST! :D
Biocorp did nothing wrong
Maybe he was going for the grenade suicide achievement.
You were right guys, was a pretty easy fight once my crits started kicking in too.
I even found a psionic mentor for temporary rewind in that cave with the death stalker. Is it worth taking that pill just for to use these things? I only have 5 Will, mostly for Ripper.
it's arguably to their detriment that they have absurdly high detection
it means you can start trapping as soon as you enter the level, and you don't have to worry much about baiting them to you
So during expidion, how bad is it to lose men during the unga bunga's attack?
Shit I just lost 4 to their insane fucking crossbowers.
It's not a big deal until you run out at which point it becomes a big deal.
Fix the naga, it's great for tanking crossbows. They just bounce off it.
also genociding the locals stops the attacks
I'm thinking it might be, guys, at least the temporal tree. I looked it up you can reduce all your cooldowns for only 5 ap... that would be so good on my build with the grenadier feat.
How the hell do you get into the abysal elevator zero? I can't find dick around it to get in.
Play as a hammer wizard
Or just a hammer hammer
What is it that you did out of curiosity? Nightvision detection goggles, traps, what?
"CRAWLERS could be here" he thought "I've never been in these caves before. There could be CRAWLERS anywhere." The hefty weight of his steel sledgehammer felt good in his bare hands. "I HATE CRAWLERS." He thought. TenseCaves.mp4 was reverberating troughout the tunnels, making it far too scary even as the 700 credit psi beetle brain soup circulated trough his powerful, psychic brain and washed away his (extremely merited) fear of POISONOUS ROOF NIGGERS in the dark. "Play as a hammer wizard, you can go anywhe-" Player enter initiative 23+4-1000=-973 12 mechanical 7 toxic 13 mechanical 12 toxic STUNNED CRITICAL HIT 83 mechanical 112 toxic 40 mechanical 20 toxic YOU ARE DEAD
one of these days you'll just shorten it to "play"
Beartraps
roots crawlers in place and ruins their dodge and evasion
if you can surround yourself with them it makes crawlers dead simple to fight
How the fuck do i fight crawlers as a tincan?
through explosives at your feet
I'm not joking, if you're doing tincan right that's a valid option
What said. I had a 2x2 of bear traps set up in front of me and the crawler stepped in three of them so I had like 6 turns of free 95% attacks.
Probably what I did with the traps.
Hammerer or Gunner?
burst shotgun
Can someone tell me how to add perks using console commands? Is this possible?
The reason is to add ratpack hound to myself since I need that weight boost so much I hate having to walk so encumbered just to haul everything baka
Throw caltrops everywhere
The moment the message of crawler getting damaged and see caltrops disappear, iniatiate combat and throw flare
Throw flashbang
Throw net
Fill the sneaky fucker full of pellets
Add bear traps if possible
bruh
stop hording everything in existence and you won't have this problem
i dont have any traps
Then do everything else I mentioned
Also you should be carrying at least some normal bear traps
buy some
bear traps are very cheap and require literally no skill to use
I want those loot. and I dumped str.
Might as well give yourself 10000000000 charons and infinite HP
guess i will need to travel back to sgs then.
anything else i should get?
seriously the poisonous roof niggers are pure bullshit, even at 10 perception and 45 detection headgear they still poof out of fucking nowhere
>mfw the Behemoth was real
caltrops
the logs still appear for them stepping onto them so you can use them to get an idea of where the crawler is
other than that idk
at that point i could just shit the place with molotovs
What
How do I get more money? I have a house to renovate
Did you do the expedition?
true
but you'd need to know it's there to molotov it properly first
and also I think it might avoid the fire, but I'm not sure it'd avoid the caltrops
>that log in Expedition describing how humanity spread out into the stars
>mfw Underrail takes place on Earth, the long-forgotten homeworld of humanity that nobody even realizes still has human life underground
no
Then go do it
Got inspired to make some OC
there's another stage 3
no one can see it though because it's stealth focused
Play as a hammers hammer
I really want to figure out if you can really keep someone locked with Dirty Kick + Pummel, also using TiChrome hammer and tabis for 3 swingd
>that yours can possibly apprehend
p gud my guy
I know, isn't it great? It's such a fascinating setting where tthe "alien" ruins that we are exploring are just from long forgotten human civilisations
Does Six really have a 11 INT check
Someone throw me a bone for the deep caverns. There's supposedly a camp in the east, but that way is blocked off. Up north is the big boy, but just being in that zone deletes all your stats. Meanwhile, the mushroom forest is just pure fucking anal as everything has fuckload of armor and is immune to crits. I am pretty much out of ammo at this point.
im disappointed that we never get to fight a big enemy except one
I was really looking forward to fighting a dragon.
Imagine if it was psionic.
Dont forget the big ass dude wearing regalia and pig tabis, downing brew, injected adrenaline everywhere and injected himself with Super Soldier dug just to use Balor's hammer
yes, but its very minor and doesnt affect anything
just pop hypercerebrix before you get in the elevator
You need to go north into Tchort territory, East then South to reach a Faceless camp. The other one requires you to go West, North, East twice I believe. Don't be afraid of Creeping Dread. There's several safe spots in there as well as the Tchortlings that spawn only really being dangerous if you get the Psi one which spawns the least frequently in my experience. There's may also be a way to slow down the process too...
aight
time to get DOMINATING!
>wearing regalia and pig tabis
[angry tincan rattling]
Is it at least interesting lore wise? Because the only save I have near there is shortly before II kill tchort so i'l have to dome him again then run all the way back there
i just want more carry weight :o
thats not a big expenditure of time
It's true, I have seen some hammers rocking more 'leather' berserker kind of styles before
Yeah I do agree it's weird as fuck
that's the set-up I suggest to brand-new players, but on a mobile hammer and not a tank hammer. Heavyweight is so damn good, but you can't expect inexperienced players to play around the armor penalty in their first attempt.
It's a versatile base stat point spread.
>tfw stealth build
>tfw too dumb to fight crawlers
>tfw outstealthed by a bug
im giving up on a lot of quests if theres no simple way to cheese them
It's more effort than i'm willing to put in if it's just meaningless fluff, hence me asking if it's worth it lorewise, because then I would be interested.
To actually answer your question. No, the only way to add feats is via Cheat Engine.
Most areas can be walked past with high enough stealth. Interloper + tabi boots if you really want to go full in.
just turn on the godmode cheats. unless you like being full of rage the only way is to fight broken with broken
Draw you getting killed by tchortlings because their spawn rate is stupid high on dominating.
The Forsaken Island Behemoth was real.
Can I play this game as the biggest smash man possible or am I gonna get dabbed on?
yes you can
Build?
Seems realistic to me.He probably didn't want to "waste" the points in throwing.
a 10 INT answer for a 10 INT character
Get paranoia feat if you can.
smart post
I know, after doing a Tungsten tank I want to roll a magicless Nimble can, my only concern right now is if Armour sloping, nimble and bodyweight training can somehow nullify feats like Heavy weight and Juggernauth, so that has me slightly concerned
Here you go
Think only Armor Sloping could affect Juggernaut since it's based entirely on your armor. Heavyweight will get hard gimped though.
A fellow man of taste I see
>Heavyweight will get hard gimped though.
Well that sucks, doesnt help either the fact I'm aiming for lightweight TiChrome, then later SS armour either.
Good shit I got high chemistry and throwing planned tho.
Pig leather is enough to counteract psi 25% HP reduction right? Or on both boots and armor suit?
How do we make tincans even better so it can compete with pure psifags?
>just pop hypercerebrix before you get in the elevator
You can't, the cutscene is too long.
I like it, it's cute user. you inspired me.
Let's play a game jacks: guess the build and stat distribution by looking at pic related
get heat resistance and thermodynamic destabilization
>Tungsten armor becomes so hard that regular crawlers cant sting through it
Be a psifag but with 8 strength?
i doubt it
Give a telekinetic boosted Super Slam
Give the force emission equivalent of Sledgehammers
Give an ability that allows to electrify your metal armour, damaging any melee attackers
Add an unique hammer with natural electric abilities
You could probably math at your suit to optimize MP and still get juggernaut, I think a quad SS with armor sloping is 59%? That's Cheap Shots tier increase in melee crits while still be decently mobile and having MP. There's a sweet spot there somewhere, I'm sure.
by nerfing psi fags
Humble early game hammer crits are not as flashy as late game hammer crits, but it still feels good bashing -that- annoying knifefag
So i heard that Temporal Manipulation is good even for 3 will characters
anyone care to explain why?
>naming your food
crud and zonerpilled
Most of its good powers don't have any scaling so will makes no difference.
play this
How does the difficulty spike in depot a compare the rest of the game? I thought my build was pretty close to optimal but I feel like I barely made it through the depot.
most of them *do* scale, its just that that doesnt really matter
this and the skills you want don't have a heavy skill dip to pick up Psycho-Temporal Contraction.
>Psycho-Temporal Contraction.
isnt that basically free turns?
PIPEWORKER DIFFICULTY
-all cooldowns have been removed, except for enemies
-you can respec your build whenever you want
-you can teleport wherever you want, whenever you want
-you have infinite carrying capacity
-psi does double damage and has halved AP/psi costs
-crawlers dont exist
-enemies never use stuns or rooting attacks
-merchants always want to buy everything you have and have infinite money
-quest markers added, minimap displayed on screen
-you cannot be locked out of a questline
-oddity mode disabled
-guns/crossbows have infinite ammo
-to-hit chance goes up to 100%
-if you dont want to fight an enemy, you can ask them to leave
"This difficult provides a good challenge to the average hardcore gamer."
Ok, since none of you boring fags gave a shit, the answer was
STR 3
DEX 3
AGI 3
CON 10
PER 3
WILL 10
INT 8
It gives you an additional 15 AP and 30 MP for 2 turns. There's a good feat that makes that 20 AP and 30 MP for 3 turns.
Equipment that can only be used by non-psionics. Like a helmet that gives psi resistance, or a taser that drains psi points from the target and damages them for the amount lost. Maybe even entire map tiles that kill you if you enter them as a psionic.
>-to-hit chance goes up to 100%
This, but unironically and only when the enemy is suffering effects that reduce their dodge/evasion to 0.
Can you name the feat? Getting the psi aids sounds like a waste overall because i would have to level up TM to 55 and i lose 25% of hp
Thanks, what kind of huge weapons can I use?
I'm actually starting to get bored playing my energy pistol guy. I'm killing things too quickly.
Play as a tin can hammerer
we told you to play a stealthy smg operator for apex fun
you should have listened
Psycho-Temporal Accelaration is the feat. But at 55 you'll pick up Psycho-Temporal Dilation which is a debuff equivalent to the Contraction buff (and benefits from the above feat) which is underrated imo. You also get Limited Temporal Increment which is a 5 AP costing Psi move that decreases all your CDs by 1 turn. You can also go for 70 in TM for Stasis which removes an enemy (or yourself) from play for 2 turns.
You certainly don't need TM by the way. Some dipshits will talk about how every build has to have TM because to not go TM wouldn't be "optimal". Imo it's worth dipping into more if you're going a heavy build since the bonus AP is really nice.
play something that is non-psi, non crit focused, non-stealth, non-traps (and doesnt use any, period)
I'm currently running a TiChrome hammer through hard and I'm torn between ditching heavyweight/critical power or not.
Fuck crippling strike niggers btw
>and I'm torn between ditching heavyweight/critical power or not.
Oh that's a fucking bad omen
>Fuck crippling strike niggers btw
On my previous tungsten tank run, once you hit 60 mech Treshold, their crippling strike doesnt apply anymore, but TiChrome mech defenses suck
Stand strong bro, endure the pain and overcome
What's a tin can? Like max armor?
I'm at 14 right now. One huge issue also is armor sloping interacting with juggernaut, I had to reinforce my armor with a second tungsten plate (my mechanics was too low for any other plate at the time).
I think I might ditch both crit feats and swing Balor's wildly in the future
Nothing implies other planets were colonized.
Following Eidein to the elevator is the point-of-no-return, yeah?
>pure throw/traps tincan build
What am i in for?
>get to raidroad crossing
>everything has 999999999999999999999 resistances and 9999999999999999999 health
>cooldowns prevent my psi build from killing more than one thing before I 100% fucked and out of options
>everything is on cooldown
>I'm out of MP
>and two faceless gods shaped like humans are right next to me because we're in a tight cramped space designed for melee
Metal armour
Either Gunner or Hammer
slang term for metal armor
Correct
What are the veteran feats?
Use your brain, for starters
The cutscene takes about 20 seconds, and this converstion doesn't pause time. Maybe with some insane button mashing you can luck it out. Maybe.
Forgot pic.
What the fuck am I suppose to do?
>if I dump EVERYTHING onto the robot I can kill it
>but then I have nothing left and I am trapped
>SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENT as y-axis
>and this converstion doesn't pause time
thats odd
The Faceless there are just really strong. No matter what your build is. You can always just come back later.
>struggling with pure psi
Premeditation, electrokinesis the sentry, focus the rest of the turn on the guy. Next turn focus the robot or forcefield yourself to recover if you're a scrub, simple enough
submarine
I know, but you can easily test it yourself with a longer cooldown consumable. It's all real time.
I thought i was doing fine until I tried to fight the faceless. All I can think of doing is farm the last levels I need to get my crafting skills to the max and make an impenetrable suit of armor.
Wtf was that I finished main quest wt hell was that shit I think I dropped as lvl 16 and left a lvl 18 what a fucking nightmare.
Where do you get said submarine?
>PSI IS OP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
>Premeditation, electrokinesis the sentry
That does 1/10th of it's health and doesn't stun if it's shield is up.
There's a way to disable the bots. Which I'm pretty sure the Mayor of Rail Crossing hints at. Perhaps you should've investigate that first.
Had my first encounter with the notorious "roof nigger"
>On the way to Rathound King's lair for the first time
>Run into a pack of about half a dozen Rathound Alphas
>About 3 turns in, I hear it
>That "injection/bug attack" noise
>oh dear.piglet
>on the fringes of my LOS, I see a "Death Stalker" soloing an Alpha and two regular Rathounds without taking as much as a scratch
>Bug out of there
>Come back, finish off the Alphas with a grenade, catching the roof nigger in the blast
>Nada
>It approaches me, I burst with my 7.62 Marauder
>Not even an eighth of it's health
>Bail like Epstein hearing Christ Hansen
>be now
I don't know what to do desu.
image some user uploaded CEing themselves quad 160 armor, i think with armor sloping^+2. if you're looking for numbers to calc on, there you go
we had a discussion about just this exact situation earlier in the thread
close yourself off with bear traps
maybe make a bit of a ruckus plinking nearby alphas
then wait, make sure it can't get to you without hitting a bear trap
when it's in one, it's evasion and dodge will drop, through a flare at it for even more accuracy if you want, then blast that motherfucker to the nether realm
>54% SS
nice
But I wonder if I should use metal helmet/boots if being nimble is the plan
>Tungsten still outclasses SS on raw mechanical defenses
TUNGSTEN IS LOVE
TUNGSTEN IS LIFE
DISMISS SUPER STEELFAGS
CARRY THAT WEIGHT AND IT SHALL PROTECT YOU
*throw
But Tungstards get melted by heat and energy.
Thats why high high shields exists sonny
>shield
gross
Then attack it before the shield is up, duh.
Sounds solid, I just need to get some bear traps.
>beat expedition without getting the secret thing
>give prof the acorn like a fucknugget
>really disappointed in the end of the story
>Decide to talk to Yngwar more
>Turns out there's some giant fag buried in the graveyard
>Dig him up, get the a thing
>No idea what to do next so I fuck off back to core city to upgrade my jetski
>John the beautiful tells me about Aran
>meet him, he threatens me, I laugh at his faggot clothes
>Decide to visit Oculus to see if I can figure out what Aran's deal is
>Turns out Azif knows about the thing I found
>turns it into secret thingy
>implies it can kill the invincible fags
>go back to black sea, dive back down, kill them all
Honestly almost a better ending than if I had done it all at once. Sort of like a "Now that I know what's down there I must destroy it" story. That mortal kombat weeb is going to ambush me isn't he? He's a fucking dead man. I would have killed him in the bar but it would have aggro'd everyone.
>Not using shields
>Wanting to get plasma melted
it's a good idea to always have some on you
0 skill to place, roots enemies for 3 turns and even deals a bit of damage
great for when you keep getting surrounded, just cover one entrance to your position with bear traps and molotov or caltrop the other
Tchort guide you, brother.
Yeeeeeah.... 'bout that
Tin cans think they're tough, but can do take 0 damage from all sources.
Oh god, my damage is so low.
Post hammer and offensive stats
this is why you pick up the thermodynamic destab
>take 0 damage from all sources*
*terms and conditions may apply
>Enemy behind open door
>Cannot click on them, door is in the way
????
Press zed
>Get kicked in the nads
>Get head bashed in
Man what a way to go
>using yell when he's stunned
???
That's not very apex, inbred.
A hammer sing missed and stun wore off, Yelled in case next hammer swing misses too
hey hey people
Hey hey people ; )
Reply if you get this reference
Great game OP I love it
i'm in depot A and i area transitioned to get away from some mutants now they're camping the area transition right where i appear when i go back to the area and i immediately take a lot of damage and die
do i have to go make a stealth device or whatever?
Tone down your autism dude what the fuck is the matter with you? You don't need to carry literally everything with you. You're never going to run out of money. You really think you need to be carrying around 20 quality 32 rathound leathers? Have some fucking self control.
Help please
Should I take Evasive Maneuvers or Fancy Footwork for a melee dex build?
Does the bonus movement points from sprint also work with Evasive Maneuvers?
Should I take survival instincts?
Never start, nor retreat from a fight you cannot finish
Might as well reload
no they'll always be hostile and have the jump on you
either take the hit or if the map has multiple entry points then circumvent them
43-78 damage hammer with 42-83 shock attachment, could get better, but wont drastically improve damage.
But muh HP
Can get 100% mech DR with booze and aegis if I bother continuing. One last forever, and the other has no cool down.
fancy footwork is absolutely mandatory for any kind of melee build with the agility for it
did you specialize in conditioning and stoicism?
I didnt use it on my machete guy and did just fine
Literally everybody uses a shield, there's 0 reason not to.
Fancy footwork is mandatory for knifes and fisters
you wasted your character
fancy footwork is literally leg magic, it's fantastic
Yup, its suppose to be a joke build, to see how far I can push DR stacking.
>All these tin cans
>All these hammerers
Comfy
well shit
fucking steamrolled the whole game, bre
my only regret was forgetting escape artist
Where the fuck do you get a bullet belt, I've literally never seen one except in the gauntlet
This is literally what happened to me and now I feel like a huge retard
>wanna craft a chem pistol or a vest
>prepare all needed materials
>craft it
>find a merchant selling part of 10 more quality in the next 5 minutes
>start a new hunt for the parts
>the cycle continues
How do I deal w/ sentry bots on gms warehouse?
If I stealth behind them will it give me the option to disable them? Dont really want to use my emp and I have high enough sneak anyway im just wondering if you could disable them by going behind them?
You missed the phase where instead you go full cheapshot mode with light armor, traps, stealth, and a large rifle.
You have to either sneak past them avoiding cameras or kill them
Stop being a pansy for once in your life
EMP nades/mines and armor piercing rounds. Pretty sure there is a security point you can hack into, not sure if it lets you disable the bots or not.
Wheres the meme build phase
iterative progress is always worth more than wearing junk while dreaming of 160+
phase 4
>getting the shields from the warhouse
>combat mode to get the safe hidden in the office because fuck it
>mfw walking into their radius while in combat mode doesn't aggro them
>juggernaut gives +25% hp on 50% or more AP
>quad tichrome with sloping is 65% AP
>plus numble is 50% AP
nice
>100 DEAD ZONERS
Balor didn't even get a swing off.
>Achievement for Dirty Kick kill
Give back my sides, Styg
Why not just do quad-SS for 54%? Way better DR% that way.
nvm i remembered im not playing fallout and there's no context button that will appear when im behind them lol
There is an alternate way in if you go south from the entrance, remember to get a key from the captain.
nimble doesn't count for juggernaut because juggernaut only checks your armor itself without counting the nimble reduction
how many feats can you get in total (including the two starting feats
Okay faggots.
I just made the greatest hammer wizard build in existence.
No need to thank me.
>leonie can sell rapid reloaders
wtf
you're out of the loop, we're nimble hammerers now
>Low Will
>Not maxed out psychokinesis
>No force user
>No corporeal projection
>>>TM
You disgrace me
>3 will
>TM
you bring shame to hammer
The fuck you need will for?
Just cast thermonuclear destabilization on some cunt, run in and bop him upside the head.
Everyone's dead.
Who sells boot blueprints? I'm like 30 hours into a run and I haven't found a single set of blueprints for them.
>implying I'm gonna waste my breath with a psinigger
big bret
fire hammer has already been posted in this very thread
Boot
Sold by Big Bret in South Gate Station.
Ninja Tabi
Sold by Blaine.
Sold by Deacon in Rail Crossing.
Sold by Lost Vault Trader.
Sold by Ola.
Sold by Constantine.
Dumb dumb.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Well mine's better.
Fuck off nigger, we master race until Styg nerfs us into the ground.
RIP 95% of builds then.
you're able to choose 17 feats, but you can potentially obtain other feats outside of leveling.
yours is SHIT
You're the reason people hate on oddity
If you can't find the guy selling boots blueprints god knows how many oddities you have left behind. Did you know there are oddities hidden in places not highlighted by TAB^?
Nuh uh, it's pretty fucking GREAT user.
>hidden in places not highlighted by TAB^?
WHAT THE FUCK WHERE
Why would you ever play on that inferior exp system?
Oddity niggers are straight up retarded.
relax, they're few and far between
we're all niggers but a PSI +classic run is the niggerest
>str instead of con
>3 will for shit damage multiplier on thermo destab
literally the opposite of synergy
it's like you're not even trying
I spoke to Bret once for his dumb quest because all he fucking sells is nets and shitty traps that I can make for free.
Thermonuclear destabilization doesn't need will you fucking brainlet.
Just cast it on the highest HP motherfucker around.
Yeah, str instead of con. I actually intend to use my hammer.
and boots, apparently
nets are great also
I agree, have it apply to stuns and incapacitates too. I know this game is trying to be realistic, but there's no reason for there to be any chance to miss a person who's standing completely still and there's no one else in the room besides the two of you, unless every crpg protag ever gets random muscle spasms causing them to drop their gun.
>Thermonuclear
>nuclear
fucking brainlet lmao
>Remember back in 2016, Depot A fucked me sideways and remember it as a very dificult part of the game, a true pleb filter
>Come back again today, make a leather armor from toxic dog, use caltrops and molotovs
>Overall pretty easy besides the suprise mine every so often
For anyone having trouble on Depot A, toxic dog leather armor tanks most of the damage from almost everything there and caltrops fuck almost everything up and cut their MP, molotovs for extra cheap over time damage
Does aimed shot work with cooked shot?
Fuck off nigger
No. It's a special attack. You can't do two special attacks at the same time.
>tfw my blind playthrough character had zero crafting ability
Depot A was pain incarnate, but it taught me how to win fights. The only other thing that was even remotely as hard was the AI fight.
>tfw kiting rathounds as a tichrome, quake carrying tin can
funny
>Normalfags will never get this armor
they spawn on normal too
Didn't happen to me on my Normal playthrough, and I murdered the fuck out of that entire base.
What level should you start the expansion? I just hit 15 and I'm feeling fairly confident in my ability to not die while making other things die. Is there a lot of combat in the expansion? I've been doing a whole lot of talking and walking and not much killing lately.
are you all playing on dominating
Are you not?
no i'm playing on hard it seems most balanced.
dominating is for autists that dogmatically select the hardest difficulty every time out of a compulsive need to prove themselves to an imaginary audience
Yeah well, hard is the coping man's difficulty.
I see, I'm guessing point shot doesn't work either.
so no real reason to go to 6 perception or dex, I don't think grenadier would be that good considering I will already have a chem pistol and I don't want to put points into throwing.
Yup.
Putting points into dexterity and perception in a chem build is a waste.
i wish i could program into the game an even harder difficulty. i'll make a big fancy button gilded with gold and shiny crystals at the difficulty selection screen and people like you will be attracted like moths to a flame. that will show you how dumb your autism is
>level 18
>never realized you could redistribute stats in the beginning
>pure psi, has opportunist
>never realized throwing was a skill because i literally cant read
why am i so retarded bros
Someone wanna give me a rundown on how to run a machete build?
I've never seen someone this butthurt over not being able to play on the hardest difficulty.
It's not my fault you're a brainlet user.
Just max dex and get all the sword feats.
I think they might only spawn if the guard in a little security room off to the side triggers an alarm, which he might not do if you don't go into it. I only saw the spec ops after I went into that room and he pulled the alarm, but if I went in and initiated combat and immediately killed him they never showed up. I was on normal and him pulling the alarm sent 6 or 7 spec ops and some dobermans to the room almost immediately.
i'm playing the game the way i want to. i'm just a bit sad that so many people have autism.
>i'm playing the game the way i want to.
Doesn't sound like it.
Dominating is where people go once they've perfected their build and have mastered combat. It has nothing to do with autism. You're just mad people are willing and able to do something harder than what you can put up with.
this would only be true if most of the people playing on dominating had at least one normal or hard win under their belt.
>i wish i could program into the game an even harder difficulty
It's called "buff the rest of combat to be equal to psi, improve enemy AI, add enemy TM users, nerf force wall or let enemies use it".
Styg please.
I really doubt anymore than a handful of the people shilling for dominating went straight to dominating without ever playing on normal or hard first.
>playing on normal
bruh
How do I cook cave hopper meat? Is there a recipe somewhere?
I see so many builds not level up AGI... why not?
At least you learned. A lot of people play games like this and just ram their head into the wall until they get tired of it.
How do i get/buy/make serrated metal?
Agi is only useful for feats. Anything past those requirements is just wasting points.
so, i killed Loyd, but i still can't acess the warehouse.
I am doing something wrong? I am fucked?
>first playthrough
>dominating and classic
>no idea what I'm doing
>going non-psi melee/throwing with 3 int/will/per
>just sneaking around and bonking beetles with my hammer and cheesing shit with caltrops and molotovs.
I'm gonna get my shit pushed in sooner or later right?
Currently saving up to get a Devastator from Ray's, what's everyone's opinion on the different jet skis and which ones are better?
>dominating
yes

>not picking Huey, Dewey and Louie every time
>Leonie whines about tichrome not being available

>no crafting
You're gonna get your shit pushed in by the time you reach Depot A, if you reach it.
It's too late for you man you're gonna get hit with that -1000 initiative
I'm in Arke Power Station and I've gotten all the keycards but there's no more locked doors to open and the roller doors to the main hall don't open. Am I missing something?
I will do a pure psi temporal ripple build and none of you psishaming pipeworkers could stop me.
is temporal ripple good?
also is power management actually bad if you get a regenerative vest?
is it scummy to abuse incapacitated - pass turn cheap shots when im 1v1ng? 1v5 I always try to juggle and leave everyone incapacitated and i'm usually fine
no that's how knife and fist is supposed to play on dominating
I WANT TO FUCK SNEAKY'S BUTTHOLE SNEAKINGLY
You really shouldn't be fighting the faceless, both for in game reasons and lore reasons. There's a quest that disables their walkers so you can walk past all the guys. Even if you can kill faceless you shouldn't.
KILL THE FACELESS
I really like that weirdo doctor lady in Core City. The one that cackles a lot and always repeats the last few words in a sentence for emphasis.
You do what you gotta do, user.
I did it
I made the two death stalkers kill almost all the lunatics
I had to kill 2 off on my own
You want the AI to stop acting retarded? Turn the goddamn difficulty up and stop playing on Easy, faggot.
forgot pic
friendly reminder
>this is the way the game is meant to be played
>if you're a brainlet
Playing my First playthrough as a Crafter/Crossbow dude, how fucked am I?
He is, go to a isolated place like your Home or empty train stops.
unless you took temporal manipulation you are being suboptimal.
>Crossbow
i'm afraid it doesn't say that in the styg approved official underrail rulebook
Styg didn't want to hurt your brainlet feels.
Well fuck, I'm still at level 5 I can still take the redpill and just spend my next few levels dumping into temporal?
>that entire segment with todd
jesus fucking christ
I actually spoke to the devs and they all play on hard so, I dunno what to tell you bre. Normal is mostly ez for you guys, Hard is mostly how its meant to be played and Easy is the joke dificulty.
well shit i guess i didn't get ALL the natives
boneyard is fuggin spooky, i'm guessing i shouldn't be here for a lot of reasons
one of which is that i'm desecrating the graves of their ancestors for fish bits to make into drugs
i dunno how they can pretend those fish are fresh enough to extract blood from
Boneyard has 2 things you are looking for user. Something lodged unto someone, and like 2 oddities. For the love of God, if you dont know the first, then dont enter it.
there is literally an NPC making fun of guys like you that hoard everything for no reason in a game where merchants don't even have enough money to buy a good gun from you
I just reached the musical cypher.
Oh fuck. I kind of get it? There are 4 lines, so each one obviously represents a single digit. Then, you have to calculate the musical interval of each line to get the digit? I thought there was only a musical interval between 2 different sections, but it seems there's like 4 per line so I'm confused.
No spoilers plz.
styg wanted you to feel what it's like to deal with the autists that like these type of games
it may be the case that they genuinely enjoy and prefer hard but normal is still the authentic base game. if normal wasn't the difficulty the game was balanced around and intended to be played in then it wouldn't have been the original difficulty mode the game was designed in during the alpha stages (which is the base reference point for all other difficulty modes) and also highlighted by default. it would also not say so on the game's rules, which for some mysterious reason you think is lying.
why are you assuming normal then is the same as normal now
I personaly just like the values and feel as if 100% health is just right. Half sale values but it feels nice honestly.
Prove it.
I don't get why some people freak out over the 50% extra health the PC gets. Seems like a pretty easy way to compensate for fighting multiple enemies.
i agree that hard places a good amount of pressure on the player but that's partially because i know some of the game mechanics. you're taking this knowledge for granted and ignoring how hard the game can be to a new player going in blind on normal mode.
>Increase game speed by like 100%
>Put the game in windowed mode, let it run
>Browse this godforsaken site for 45 minutes
>Visit merchants, sell shit
>Repeat
I'm fucking gonna hoard. I'm gonna pick up every single fucking thing I can.
And I'm gonna sell it.
>He included easy difficulty into the game
STYG NO!
STYG WHY?!
>Zone transition cost 0 AP
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Thanks dude.
Well, not a big spoiler, I think, every cypher ever has this property lines are text-based.
I aint, really. People get told how to play and such, people who are used to CRPGs know hard is the real deal. Those who aint, normal is fine, aint no shame in it, its still respectable. Easy is a joke tho.
>Thanks dude.
Anytime.
So, have you faggots embraced the dudepill and have you become assmen?
>ladelman
>dude
See, they forget one key thing. Hips. I can respect a nice behind and a pair of mamaloons but hips can make or break it and them ignoring it is such a shame.
>people who are used to CRPGs know hard is the real deal
that's exactly my point. hard is "the real deal" only in reference to arbitrary standpoint "people who are used to CRPGs" but the game itself was objectively designed and intended to be played in normal. even in your own picture , normal values are 100% or "standard" for everything except pc health multipler.
its best to just uninstall, thats what i did.
maybe one day they will nerf temporal manipulation
Yes, because you only need like 70 points to get everything out of TM, but it's not like you need it. It's good that you have crafting, but the issue with crossbows is that they have a huge fucking accuracy penalty after movement, or against anyone in melee range, so basically you need to make sure no one can ever get up to you and you don't have to reposition ever, or only do so if you're going to be tossing grenades or caltrops or something instead of firing.
Crossbows aren't like fucking awful, they can pierce shields pretty well and your meme bolts are useful. It's just that they seem more balanced around having other guys to hide behind. A bolt nigger amidst the enemy is annoying and memorable, but that's just because he's got 3 other dudes with him to keep you from running up on him or murdering him instantly. But that's not true for the player, who's always outnumbered.
That said if you just always buy or make caltrops and toss them down at the beginning of every fight you'll probably be fine on normal for the most part, or lay down some traps. I assume a crossbower is a stealth nigger so scouting out a bit and then putting down traps if you need to shouldn't be too hard for you.
How's the Expeditions content compared to the base content?
More dialogue, more lore, more interesting, same gameplay with some cool gimmicks.
If you don't go in too early and manage to survive it you'll probably steamroll the rest of the base content.
DEPLOY
THE ANTI CRAWLER CIRCLE
and this is a good thing
then use cheat engine and change the weight value...
it's not that hard
>then use cheat engine
Fuck off
they have an official discord server but no discord rich presence
instead they do have it but on steam
Why? You're just ruining the game for yourself. Not because you're trying to gimmick the system, but because you're just wasting your time when you could just be playing the game. You end up with so much money after a few hours anyway there's no need to do this. You're never going to spend it.
but that's how you increase game speed?
I don't understand
also you are cheating either way
MAD
Yeah, I thought they were a bit unbalanced all things considered. Thanks bro.
what is a good level to go into it?
I pirated the game when Expedition came out, it's got a built in speed up.
Is that not the case for retail?
where is said option?
hey guys this is user and I'm about to genocide the fucking locals to make them fuck off for eternity
but first, I have to make a couple examples out of them
>Get hit with Bilocation
>Didn't take the PSI pill
>Lose fight because you can do literally nothing to fight it off
Cheat Engine hotkeys for 1x and 5x speed make this game a lot more bearable.
the only speed option is for combat
Numpad +
Just started up my steam version without Expedition, works there as well.
>Version 1.1.0.5
>General
>Added the ability to speed up the game while out of combat
I thought it was an actual option in the options menu
thanks guys
Based Styg.
It was sorely needed.
It is amazing to me how many people don't know about it and resort to using cheat engine.
Like Styg, my dude, you need to do something about it. I opened up the f1 help thing in game and there was no mention of the speed up.
Like Fallout, Underrail does nothing to ease the transition into it.
IT'S STILL NOT FAT ENOUGH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
So how the fuck do you rescue the hostages in the base of the GMS station?
I don't have any problem killing the raiders, my problem is the fucking braindead hostages who start sprinting all over the place as soon as combat starts. I'm guessing they keep getting damages because when the raiders are gone all they do is keep running around and bitching and I can't talk to them.
make noise
lure them out
go to turret room
turn turret on
win game
You might as well keep playing the character, it's better to play a build and realize it's not for you or that you didn't build them right and get stuck rather than to just restart after a few hours and have it happen to you anyway. You'll learn what works and what doesn't with how you set up your skills, stats, and feats.
Are they actually hostile? If their names are in red then yeah, you hurt them somehow and now they'll never forgive you. If you want an easy way you can just turn the turret on and lead the bad guys into it. It'll kill them no problem and the hostages stay safe.
Anyway, it doesn't matter. If you save them they tell you where to get the key, but you were probably going to clear out the entire floor so you'd find it anyway.
>getting truce between rathound king and camp is mutually exclusive with kidnapping the hunter girl
Choices choices choices
>come back uberleved and geared
>kill everyone
Choices indeed.
genocide ending when
They are not even hostile. The quest just fails after you kidnap the girl. I want to make peace between the king and camp but I also want king to have his queen.
doing this was actually the only way i was able to defeat that leader in the gms compound lul
you can get both seahorse turrets up?
Without any more spoilers than is necessary to answer the question simply, is there some kind of story split off between the Faceless and the Tchort church? Like will I have the chance to side with one or the other at some point?
It sucks that you can't do it but you can always just headcanon that eventually he might find a woman that not only doesn't die immediately upon entering his labyrinth but also doesn't particularly mind being his queen.
If after a few hours and maybe a couple other sidequests you could come back and see the woman you kidnap wearing the same kind of armor and standing next to rathound king, that'd be really wholesome and kino
EELS or SCRAPPERS?
Eels, jack.
before or after going to depot a?
both
The scrappers are fucking gay, go with the eels. It doesn't really matter when you fully complete their sidequest, but pushing through depot A might make you a bit stronger for the showdown.
You can do a couple of the scrapper quests if you want though before fully committing to the eels. It's not really necessary, mostly just for money or XP.
yeah i stole the green disc for the niggas, thanks. any idea what it is in reality?
NO FUCKIN CLUE
Hammer Wizard vs Unarmed Psi-Monk - which playstyle is more chill?
I really dislike that you need adrenaline to hit 3x in a row no matter what you do, but monk seems rather squishy
What builds aside from pure psi can get through dominating without infinite reloading?
And I finished the game with 380k charons while you couldn’t even fully upgrade your jet ski.
Anything, but it requires some intense AI abusing + grenades. Well, anything so long as you have a combat discipline. Stealth persuading merchant ain't gonna work.
Can you just leave items on the ground and they wont despawn? I'm currently storing my items on my private quarters and I want to move all my sellables to Junkyard so I don't have to pay 10 coins everytime?
Is it safe? Is every container safe? Please respond
Leave it on the ground and it will be fine.
Which stats are good for pure psi after will and int?
really?
Yes containers, or even the ground, is safe as far as I know.
Yes, I only leave it in cities since I'm not certain whether uncontrolled areas save stuff but uncontrolled areas 99% do as well, I just have a pile in front of every major vendor to sell shit whenever they want it. I keep them out of containers as well, as I THINK barrels respawn with new contents.
I don't think barrels respawn either but I haven't tried.
Yeah, and they fucking demolish everything they hit.
Generally they stick to a area, you want to set up bear traps and toss a bunch of flares, let them come to you and then shoot the shit out of them. If you REALLY want to dodge them, you can put on a good cloaking device on and stealth through them, it might be enough for them to have a hard time seeing you but you'll probably bump into them by accident and they have a very high initiation.
A lot of main quest areas generally have a alternative path so you can skip out on them probably.
Con if you're a babby and can't handle squishiness before crafting your first OP shield, agi if you want to annihilate everything instantly even when not entering combat manually
they absolutely do if they're empty. No idea if they overwrite stuff that you put inside but I wouldn't risk it - 'for sale' stashes on the ground in front of merchant npcs is the way to go
What reduces armor penalty? How do I keep armor penalty at 0%? For nimble btw
yes
I've had 4+ seperate stacks of random crap sitting next to the armory dude in SGS for the last 20+ hours of my playthrough. Honestly at this point I kind of wish they'd despawn, because it's almost all junk that I'll never need.
nimble, bw training
Jesus fucking christ, how do Locusts do so much fucking damage to my shield? A single barrage of them destroy that shit within a turn.
bw training? whats that?
Is there a way to turn off my radio in Expedition? Or at least not have it break stealth?
nimble reduces armor penalty
armor sloping is another feat
bodyweight training feat is -10%
Body weight training, a feat that requires level 26. It reduces armor penalty by 10%.
absolutely retarded enemies, death stalkers wish they could be as annoying as the locust. Just imagine a swarm of bugs spitting crossbow bolts at you
You're actually better off without a shield against them if your resistances are decent.
GOD HATES SENTRY BOTS
Where do I find a merchant that accepts any kind of item?
Somebody post Celrak build pls, I'm too lazy to grab the laptop from the other room
Is it possible to actually wipe out the faceless during their siege on the elevator? They seemed to be infinite.
Also, Hollow Earth is a fucking shithole, goddamn.
no such thing
Where's the united stations ambassador in junkyard? can't see it
No.
Inside the embassy
jesus christ how do I deal with this shit, I must have reloaded 50 times now and haven't even been able to get to the door
The entrance has heavily armoured guards. It's near the doctor and past the guys who ask for money to get past.
I swear to god I can't find the god damn drill parts in depot A. I've snuck in most rooms both in the underground base and in the shacks on top. The only place I've to visit yet is a warehouse with an electronic lock, but can't find the key. Any kind anons to point me in the right direction?
Nobody has trouble with any financial matters in the game. That you finished with almost 400k dollars just proves how fucking useless and meaningless your time wasting autism is.
The drill parts are in a barrel in the very last accessible area. If you're stuck it's because you need a key or a key card. Basically, check every container you come across. Make sure to go down trap doors and check all the ones underground too.
Hope you got the keycard or hacking high enough. I threw a flashbang, used adrenaline and just ran for it.
Just do the dude’s quest and you’ll be able to visit all major merchants to sell your crap in a single trip for way less than using the train would cost you.
I'm surprised so few people have this in rising storm 2
Granted you have to be playing as Australians to get it and I am not sure if the maps with Australians get chosen much outside of Australian servers
Damn, time for an underground bloodbath then...
Man, having a house devoid of furniture and riding around in a junkjet really triggers pipeworkers.
ok but can you tell me about the united stations, protectorate and free stations? from my understanding through speedreading:
protectorate = want to unite everyone w/ military might and they protect the united stations?
un stations = idk what they are but they seem to be part of protectorate? or they're protected by it? ruled by councils?
free stations = anarchists according to this ambasaddor i just delivered package to
sgs station = not yet part of either? also i just realized my credits are purely sgs are they gonna become bigger later on or do i have to convert all of this coins later?
Why is the wiki so sparse on content for the DLC? Theres so many "gotchas" in the new dlc it almost seems like I'm gonna miss a ton of shit
Can I recruit more troopers for the camp or am I just stuck with what I have? They keep getting dabbed on by pirate grenadiers.
Protectorate: God sworn savior of humanity
United Stations: Stations under the protection of the great Protectorate
South Gate Station: Independent station in dire need of a protectorate presence
Free Drones: Dogs and mongrels not worth thinking about
Man, sure am having fun playing this CRPG.
I swear they make the cipher harder on dominating by obsfucating digits.
do i side w/ scrapper or black eels? for the drill part?
Black eel quest line is better, you get more loot and it's longer.
k ty
Which food does Yngwar like?
Iam quiet disappointed that you can't side with Scrappers in order to take over Junkyard like you did with Black Eels.
I do prefer Eels, but the choice to help Scrappes to take over would have been nice.
I'm trying to get him to give me a sketch but he's permanently pissed at me. The Ferryman already told me about the duel.
Prime underrail pentapussy.
wat
Nitpicking right now, but it would have been interesting if one of the in universe things was people suffering from or needing medicine to solve their lack of vitamin D from lack of exposure to sun.
But then again, people were underground for literal centuries so they could have gotten used to living there by now. Still, it would have been a nice unusual issue for people.
Can you take Todd with you?
He disappeared after I picked up the thing and ran back.
Nevermind, I just found him.
Where the hell do you get a submarine?
How the fuck am I supposed to kill those ghosts in the fucking boneyard area.
SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO JUMP DOWN IN THE MUTIE REFUGE WHAT CONSTITUION DO I NEED PLEASE RESPOND
Can't help but feel I'm doing this wrong. I got:
OFTH? EEANN IHI?AT EDPAS TAND FUTURE
MARR?A GEOF ?ASU ?ISIAN DE R
POI??H ROMATI C??A TERSCA PES
CRIM?O N?ME ADOW? AIIET
There seems to be a couple of words that might stand out:
STAND FUTURE
...
ROMANTIC
CRIMSON MEADOW
But still, I'm lost.
You're not.
which psi build gives me the pretties colors.
Oh shit, I messed up. One moment.
Pen and paper is ten times more convenient.
All of those are supposed to be words. You're getting there though.
HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO GET THE HAND ON THE MUTIE REFUGE ISLAND WITHOUT TERMINATING THESE DEGENERATES?
give them med supplies
sneak your way in
i think theres also high agility jump
How are so many people having problems with the muties?
You either persuade or give morphine to the guard and then offer medicine to the mutant leader or pass persuade.
Give them the drugs you need you pipeworker
It's not your shit, it's the companie's shit, fuck it.
Besides, you don't need drugs when there are no more natives, get to work
Intimidate.
Or give them meds.
Or go sneak.
Or murder, the world won't miss a bunch of muties.
Just got to the end of the Protectorate's quest line.
I really want to frag the CAU.
I would
:'(
>Killing the muties
The ferryman must love you, and hooo boy are you in for a shock later when that comes back to bite you
Okay, I am very confused. Suppose the following:
Interval key: 603
F# : 5 should be impossible. You're going an octave below the lowest octave.
F# : 7 would make sense since it's 6, raised one so you would do octave 0 but apply octave 6's delta.
MY PERSUASION IS ZERO, DOC WON'T GIVE THEM THE MEDS
MY AGILITY IS HIGH, BUT I DIE EVERY TIME I JUMP DOWN
MY DEX IS PATHETIC, CAN'T OPEN DORR
MY PICKPOCKET IS ZERO. CANT STEAL KEY
IS TERMINATION MY ONLY OPTION?
Try to talk to Briggs before asking Doc for the meds, might work.
Have you tried shooting up a bunch of morphine before jumping?
What happens? I bullied them and they, naturally, hate my guts, but they never came up again.
eat some sandwhiches
drink aegis
use morphine
You don't actually need to give them meds.
You can just tell them you will and, get the thing, and ditch them. I think it needs a Persuasion check though, for them to not ask for them first.
I actually did this accidentally; I thought you're supposed to return to the camp and talk to someone, but nope, you're supposed to use the shitty Navcom thing to call the doctor and ask him about sending supplies.
YES I SHOT UP EVERY FUCKING DRUG IN UNDERRAIL WHY CAN'T I JUST USE A ROPE AND CLIMB IN GOD DAMN YOU STUPID POLISH DEVELOPERS I WANT MY MONEY BACK
What actually happens?
I've antagonized the mutants, but haven't killed them all.
So, Yea Forums.
What's the best thing to do with the Acorn?
Anyone? This is fucking annoying at this point.
throw it into the trash unironically
Make a tree to hang yourself on.
Give it to that really cool dude for his sweet ass katana (japanese sword)
Give it to your best friend Ezra, of course.
Can you just give it to Tanner? He seems like a really trustworthy guy to hold onto something like that.
Reload and talk to Yngwar from scratch again.
You need 9 Int to pass the dialogue checks with Yngwar. Hypercerebrix gives you +2.
If you're a sub 7 Int minmaxing brainlet then tough luck. The reward isn't that good anyways for this annoying hidden quest.
Just reload a save before you pissed him off. Way easier than scavenging for food. In my experience however he likes cave hopper stakes and eel sandwiches
The correct answer is, of course sell it to Azif for 3-6 thousand shekels
Thank you.
Give it to the professor like what you were paid to do
Alright, I gave up and used the decipher program. It gave me a strangely similar result to what I got, plus the numbers that I weren't able to figure out.
OFTH?_EEANN_IHI?AT_EDPAS_TAND_FUTURE
MARR?A_GEOF_7ASU_?ISLAN_DER
POLY?H_ROMATI_C7?A_TERSCA_PES
CRIM?O_N9ME_ADOW?_ALLET
So it's 3779. I was an inch away. Still feel satisfied with my work, though.
All objectively incorrect answers.
>I swear they make the cipher harder on dominating by obsfucating digits.
The complexity of the "puzzle" does scale with difficulty, yes.
That explains it. I always thought dominating players were all just brainlets.
Should I join Preservation or Investigation?
It don't matter, but preservation is shorter and simpler
No reason you can't do both for some sweet dosh
Are percentage based resistances multiplicative or additive?
Interestingly, you can give/sell the Acorn to most major factions - SGS (Tanner) /Protectorate/Tchort (what could possibly go wrong)/Oculus are the ones I tested. The dialogues are very similar in them, though every respective leader of said faction says something else.
It‘s in the bottom left hand corner, you fag. Did you not look at your interface to see what all the shit does when you started?
What kind of cloth should I use for my quality 155 super steel sheet riot armor? I have a Q151 Sturdy Vest to put it in.
Blast cloth
What?
I'm level 21. What should I dump my last 10 spec points into? Critical Power or Recklessness?
There's a guy with a katana that will give said katana to you in exchange for it, if you have high enough merchantile
>wander around with a hoard of shit, been a long time since ive seen anyone really
>come across strange device
>rip the power cell
>OH GOD OH FUCK IM ONLY LEVEL 10
You are being sarcastic, right?
>giving up the acorn for a shitty sword
This is your brain on anime.
i want to be a light armored pistol faggot. chemical pistols in particular. throwing and sneaking and maybe temporal manipulation on top. doable on hard?
I started in 2018, before 1.1.0.5, so no, I didn't faggot.
>chemical pistols
Yeah you're fine. It's only kinetic pistols that are garbage
test
>Crawler poison caltrops
When does a balor's hammer build come online?
Things weren't always this way, but chem pistol dominates on every difficulty. It's probably the best example of Styg buffing something to make it more fun.
>Not just killing the pipeworker and stealing his stuff
Not like the Red Dragon is all that great either unless you massively sequence break.
>Recklessness
Do you want enemies to crit you every other hit?
>rescue Buzzer
This mission is a build check isn't it? How the fuck do I deal with the faceless?
t. Tincan AR
Starting shooting and don't stop shooting till they're all dead. Or just sneak through it.
You've already went through depot A and at least one area of burrowers, you've been checked. You can do this.
>A meager 3%
>Doing anything when you have much more chances to crit them before they can even get near you
And you can also use Paranoia to nullify that oh, so scary 3%.
>This mission is a build check isn't it
No, in fact you don't need a single check for that quest whatsoever.
>Try to explore the caves further after i got access to TNT
>End up in a cave with 5 crawlers
What's the best ammunition for tyranny shotgun bursts? 3p tungsten?
It's the one weapon for which I'd massively sequence break every time and feel no remorse.
Lets say i did sneak past the guys in the hall. The room where buzzer is lock up in has a psi based faceless. Isnt he just going to wreck my shit the moment i interact with buzzer?
Same as every other shotgun - depends on the enemy.
Nah.
Not your shit, at least.
>Isnt he just going to wreck my shit the moment i interact with buzzer?
Nope.
Just let him do a brain colonoscopy and you'll be fine.
If you completed the Foundry quest with the Faceless and didn't chimp out and kill them you can also kindly ask him to leave and also let Buzzer live if you care so much, otherwise you'll need a Persuasion check if and only if you want Buzzer to live, he'll fuck off regardless either way, just don't hurt any Faceless and you're good to go.
can you elaborate?
If the enemy has armor - 6p. No armor - 20p. Ghosts - 3p.
Tungsten Rounds are only worth it for really tough pipeworkers like Nagas or Hives, you need to understand that there isn't a single good shell type for shotties, you need to adapt to the situation and use the more suitable ammo, although a decent middle ground is usually 6p pellets.
Rule of thumb is
>Unarmored enemies/critters
20p/12p
>Tougher enemies/critters
6p
>Really tough enemies/tin cans/Naga/Strongmen/things that are immune to crits
Tungsten.
So far i've been using 6p on anything...
The 3 int approach can work, but you're missing out if you just ignore shell types.
I shoot Tungsten at crawlers just to spite at them
As I said, 6p is a passable middle ground, but 20 p will be better in a lot of situations(Burrowers/Sormibaeren hordes/Locusts) due to the much higher pellet count and spread while Tungsten surpasses it against boss types or really meaty enemies like ghosts.
20p is also the best ammo to use while on your Jetski since pellets hit individually, so having a shitload of pellets will make up for your lowered hit rates while riding, you can kill up to 5 heartbreakers in a single 20p shot or kill 3 and heavily maim the rest, a 6p will kill 2 at best and leave the other 3 uninjured.
I have 10 dex and 6 will as a knifevirgin with some thot control and just hit 20; should I keep pumping dex or should I try to get Locus by pumping up to 10 will?
You can't get to 10 wil at that point
Whatever you say wil
>Still stuck in deep caverns
>Chem pistol is vital to my build
>No chem ammo anywhere
>"Oh yeah, there is a lift down south going back up, you need to restore power from the power station up north though"
>Fucking System Shock my shit up
>Lol, can't restore power to that lift from here
Am I just stuck down there forever until I kill Tchort or what?
1 point at 20
1 point at 24
2 from Increased Will at 26 for a total of 10 yes?
I guess I'd get Locus way late but I'm not sure if its worth losing dex still idk
locus enrage is pretty great though I don't know how it plays into your build
is it a stealth build?
>12p for unarmored
I've found them to be kinda shit. No real reason not to use 20p if armor's not an issue and as soon as it becomes even a very small issue they barely scratch people.
Yeah I'm a stealh virgin
Any known way to reset stats / feats?
Please respond this is important.
Why is this game so good anons?
It's literally eating away my life.
I fucking hate how much I enjoy it.
>One of the more hardcore single player RPGs
>Any known way to reset stats / feats?
Not in this game.
Restart.
Reroll. Or stop being a shitter and git gud you zoner.
When I googled the most I could come up with was using Cheat Engine and hex editing your save
if you have biology deep worms can give you corrosive acid
>I'm gonna cheat cause I can't understand the underlying mechanics in order to make a good build
Fucking disgusting.
I never did, I just prioritized will over int in a save too early and was being an antsy pants bitch about it
>I hate how much fun I have
Almost forgot I was on Yea Forums.
Is post nerf temporal distortion still viable as your sole offensive spell or do you have to combine it with other psi schools to be well-rounded?
You can't even reasonably use CE to edit feats. It's incredibly obscufated. Attributes/skill points are easy to edit though.
are digital timers not sold by ezra or harold or I'm just shit out of luck until next restock
Is getting meleed more frequent than being shot at?
For dodge/evade? Which should I prioritize if possib?
Buy Tnt charges instead. Or head over to foundry and get a jackhammer from the mine.
They are, but they're also supremely rare.
If you don't take both, you're stupid
Most enemies are ranged. Plus, there a lot of tools to control enemy movement, giving your more than enough time to kill melees before they reach you.
>You can't even reasonably use CE to edit feats. It's incredibly obscufated
Good.
>Attributes/skill points are easy to edit though
Not good.
There is such a thing as having too much of something. You'll learn when you stop being a hedonistic faggot.
It's like the fat guy who eats an entire cake. He knows he shouldn't, deep down he knows it's bad for him, but he can't help himself.
Underrail is that cake to me. I spend way too much of my free time playing it.
Distortion is still strong as ever, but Ripple is too unreliable. It's alright at full spec, but you can't even get there before level 25.
I'm curious, what's beyond those 4? Im stockpiling up every plasma and waiting to level up so I can make mk3 emp nades.
I mean for feats like deflection which only work for melee?
thanks. should i take evasive maneuver? also is there any way to "self harm" to put myself under 30% hp for that feat?
Generally there are more ways of controlling melee than ranged so if you have to pick one get evade, but in practice both skills require heavy synergy from agility/nimble/light armor/crafting investment/temporal manipluation/yell in order to be really effective and if you went as far as to get all that then it's a big waste not to get both.
I did but 3 seems a bit few
why
besides Li cells that's the most basic electric stuff gets in this game
Damn, I was hoping to witness the glory of cascading ripples spiraling out of control firsthand.
I've done all the quests in the institute of tchort. Should I pick investigation or preservation?
You missed out. I'm glad I had my fun before Styg got to it.
Doesn't matter. Get as many supplies as you can, especially special ammo and high-tier grenades. Prepare for anal pain.
>why
Nobody knows.
Which one of these should I make?
I'm still going to go for it just to see how it's like at full spec but I'll take psychokinesis or thought control as well.
HOW THE FUCK DO I GET OUT OF THE WEST STORAGE DEPOT WITHOUT USING THE ELEVATOR?!?!
Left no contest.
Why is it no contest?
Bullets are responsible for more deaths.
I haven't done the expedition yet. Which one will be better for that?
