Never played it on a keyboard but there are a lot of directional inputs in the games that would probably be hard if you don't have a thumbstick to aim away from enemies, at least in the games that don't feature full camera control. Though I'm sure it's far from impossible regardless.

DMC3:SE fixes the difficulty and lets you play as Vergil.
DMC4:SE includes Turbo and Legendary Dark Knight mode for console players, not to mention adding Vergil, Lady, and Trish as playable characters. Also adds alternate costumes for all characters.
