This would've been ten times as powerful if the city wasn't a lifeless shithole. That's one of the things I enjoyed about BB. It at least had some semblance of life, even though it was just tiny snippets of dialogues from windows around the city. DaS never gave me any reason to care about the world it's set in, because I never truly believed it's been anything but a fucking stillborn shithole filled with death and despair. The cities are filled with houses, but no sign of anyone living in them. There are NPC's, but they all seem like figments of your imagination, as all they do is to talk in vague fucking riddles.
The setting is dope, but jesus fuck they could've done more with it.

I don't mind the riddles but I agree that dark souls 3 could have done more to flesh out its locations

Kaer Morhen had that feel, also Oblivion when you got out of the sewer, if anyones got a screen of that

If the game were actually Bloodborne I'd probably have fond memories of this area.

Because then it would be the Burial Blade I'm holding.

You mean moments that make you feel nothing?

Or B: The city was actually somewhat large
Anor Londo in DaS1 sorta do this by having a entrance and a lower level in addotion to the core palace itself.

The Boreal Valley itself is a smaller level than its prison.

The riddles are fine, but none of the NPC's you meet actually feel like "real" people. You hear stories of how great Lordran was back in the day, but you never truly believe it. Why would I give a shit if the flame is kindled or not if the world is going to be a empty shithole no matter what?

Arkham Asylum

Once you escape from the first building and get a look at the island

No.

Your post make me wonder where are all the humans ? and if they're all dead, why there are still some NPC who are alive ?

In Yarnham? You are in normal Yarnham until you get the blood to be cured for the SUPER AIDS you got. Whatever that is.
And then you end up in a mirror reflection, which is intended to get you to the other mirror reflections used to start a ritual trying to unsurp or trap the Moon Presence.

Its just that some people always manage to get trapped in the reflection. They have a lot of folklore about that, which is why the NPCs are not confused at all. They realized wtf is going on, and all they have to do is to wait until the bloodmoon of the MP is over, and they can return to the actual city.
Meanwhile the city is also filled with rabid beasts too stupid to dodge entering the dream, the reflection, the mirrored reality of the world egg.

Yep this is pretty much exactly like OP.

Much of RDR2

But i didn’t feel anything for that.

Siegmeyer and Sieglinde are human. Or just Sieglinde. I think every other human NPC is undead or turns undead.

The first time you see the castle in Ocarina of Time.

The first time I got over the hill to see Whiterun in Skyrim.

The first time I fucked your mums lmao

You spend most of Bloodborne in the waking world. The dreams (Gherman's Workshop, Nightmare of Mensis, Nightmare Frontier, etc) are different planes of reality. You're attempting to stop the School of Mensis from summoning an eldritch creature like the Moon Presence.

NPCs aren't confused because beasts and hunts have become fairly commonplace. This is their world. The Blood Moon, however, is new. When it arrives after you kill Rom the NPCs often lose their minds entirely.

Not sure what's you're talking about with beasts not dodging the dream or the "world egg."

skyrim

that means youre a nigger

Minecraft

Battletoads

you just described everything i like about dark souls. its about the feel of a great city abandoned for eons and wondering what lived there and what happened to them

You forgot: shit lore too, yet people seem to care about books in the game lmao. I like disgusting and dark fantasy settings so i’m okay with it

Bloodborne.

But BOTW actually shows a world you can explore
You can only go through a few streets in Irythill it is literally window dressing

Moments that make me feel nothing?

That would make sense if it wasn't Anor Londo, which we already visited. The first feeling of a great city abandoned for eons was already felt in the first game.
