I love it. Somehow they made the open world concept interesting. I put off buying a switch and this game for over two years, and the other day I just decided to pick one up on a whim. Really glad I did. What other games for the Switch do you recommend, Yea Forums?

I'd mostly recommend the staple exclusives like Mario Odyssey, Smash Ultimate, Splatoon 2, etc. I sold my Switch a few months ago for graphics card money because I was bored of it, but now I've ordered a new one because I missed it. Should arrive either today or Monday.

People shit on Switch because of all the ports, but honestly I think it's fucking awesome that games from pretty much every platform that ever existed.

Some will say these are ports, and that's fine. I played them for the first time on the switch and had a blast playing them. Currently going through Links Awakening. Sadly, BOTW didn't do it for me. Didn't grab my attention at all.

I just felt like I was bored of the Switch so I sold it to buy a new graphics card. Easy. Now, I've realised that I'm kind of missing out, so I've ordered a new one. It's the model with the slightly improved battery life, too.

the link's awakening remake isn't intended as any sort of follow-up to BoTW. it's kind of silly to look at them in the same light.

I KNOW it's not a follow-up, the remake looks like a fisher price toy-set turned video-game, I'm not sure what Botw looks like, but at least it looks good.

No, I like Wind Waker's look, sure it's cartoony, but it doesn't nearly as bad as LARemake

I mean, I guess? It's charming and cute, people like that. Zelda has always been colourful and fun, this style lends itself well to that in my opinion

If you're a fan of the LAremake style, then perhaps BOTW would fit you better if it was in this style

Even then, I'd say that's limited to areas inside structures since sunlight makes everything look like plastic for some reason.
