As an artist, it keeps my hands from sticking to the screen.
Helps when it comes to drawing curves and longer lines in one stroke, since our greasy human hands, even if dry, have a bad habit of hanging up on the screen as we draw.
Saves a lot of time having to hit the undo button on our tablets 50 times for one line.
