Better writing than any Borderlands game.

Oh my god, what happened to Adeleine?

That's not a very high bar.

Have you seen Little Misfortune's bar?

She didn't end up on Popstar and instead got shafted into an abusive family.

But don't worry. Mr. Voice has a fun game with Eternal Happiness waiting for her.

el goblino...

It's a very cute bar. Needs more glitter tho

If you're familiar with Fran Bow, it's basically the same artstyle.

Fran Bow doesn't have ugly lips

doesn't mean it's any good

Not arguing with you. Just saying that the art style is pretty much the same.

> "Let's keep playing my game"
Mr. Voice didn't try very hard to make himself seem as if he wasn't an evil eldritch horror.

>it ended just when it was getting good
literally WHY

Was Mr Voice a good villain?
Honestly he felt a less intimidating than Remor. Which by the way, Remor means voice in Catalan.

Is she voiced by the dev waifu?

Also what happened to that cat game, is it being worked on still?

I liked him a lot. Sure, he's not as much of an immediate force of evil as Remor, but when he drops the act, he really goes full throttle.

It's actually kind of horrifying to think of all those kids he successfully ended up consuming over the years.

She was voiced by Natalia Martinsson

Yeah he did go all out in the end, guess I just didn't like the slow boil at the beginning.

KNOCK KNOCK was the best thing he did
Also did he die or something? I feel like he ended a bit too fast

Who would win in a fight?

Fran:
>knows how to use a knife
>tweaks hard to get things done

Fortune:
>has a cute hat
>is a goblina

Watched my girlfriend play it. Everything was predictable and the only "horror" is a dead child

Sparkles, user, you are forgetting about lil fortune's sparkles.

Actually even with sparkles, Fran would kick her ass.

Fran Bow was better.

Seriously, just don't make an unattractive protagonist, people are conditioned to disregard those immediately.

I really liked all the foreshadowing they did for him. Benjamin's drawings, his clear hatred for any benign supernatural entities, the missing kid posters, etc.

I don't think beings of the Ultrareality CAN die, so he's probably still around.

I enjoyed Fran Bow but this one didn't really catch my interest. Is it any good?

Same here. I think it's literally because of the protagonist looking like Pikachu.

I personally enjoyed it, but it's a slower burn than Fran Bow was, which might not be your cup of tea.

Slow burning.
Also SHORT, no real puzzles though and if you hate puzzles that could be a good thing

Misfortune is cute, no matter what she looks like.

>tfw Misfortune's life is so shit that even Mr. Voice is a bit disturbed by it

Attached: 1511496213025.jpg (720x699, 313K)

It was cute, but it was way shorter than Fran Bow.
Besides, the ending felt rushed and your actions or choices didn't really matter or hard important consequences, even the questions that mr. voice asked you...they didn't matter at all.
Felt really rushed and Fran Bow was better, this felt like a cash grab.

Fran Bow itself was pretty short, so I'm not at all bothered. It also feels like it mostly exists to fill out the Fourth Reality that was mentioned in the first game.

No she looks like a funko

It was, I dunno this one felt pretty short, maybe because it had less puzzles, I liked Mr. Voice, but it was cute and somewhat fun.

Is she as rapeable as Fran Bow?
This is important

He's still trying to eat her soul, so I doubt the sympathy is very significant.

Can't get over her annoying fucking voice.

Aren't you supposed to be dead, Dr. Oswald?

I think it's funny Mr. Voice/Morgo is such a prude. He acts like a shocked old lady every time Misfortune swears. Why does an inter-dimensional parasite from beyond the five realms of existence care if his victim says damn?

Because he has standards and probably wants Misfortune to be as childish as ever so he can enjoy eating her considering his diet

Children probably taste better the more innocent they are. I wouldn't be surprised if him being disturbed at Misfortune's home life is just him worrying they might've ruined her childish naivety in some way.

Wish I could taste children too. Haha its a joke bros

Remor, please leave.

Who's better, Benjamin or Itward?

She's not that terrible, even as an annoying retard child character, but by comparison Benjamin made her look like a troll

Attached: swol.png (486x611, 396K)

It wasn't clear exactly what he feeds on. Innocence? Fear/suffering like a kamala? The child's very existential energy? I also wondered about the other children who went missing. Apparently Misfortune is special in that she was able to hear Morgo, so how did he manipulate the other children into playing his games?

The Artbook says he feeds on confused unloved children

Attached: DON'T CLICK THIS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SPOILED.jpg (1276x588, 112K)

He does physically resemble a kamala, so he probably draws on similar things. When he takes Hiro, by all indications the process isn't very pleasant.

Both are good friends, but Itward is more of a treasured companion who shows up and sticks with you for as long as he possibly can to ensure your safety. Benjamin is more a servant of a benign higher power trying to save many, many people from Evil, and can't stick to one place for long.

So.
What's "The Beyond"? Is it like the realm of darkness?

Attached: would you.jpg (183x183, 8K)

It's seemingly something outside of the Ultrareality itself. Probably has ties to the Fifth Reality, going by what little we know of it.

I watched someone play fran bow for about an hour or less and didn't care only adventure game I'll ever enjoy is machinarium.
Benjamin is very yiffy though.

>tfw she canonically gets the knot
Wew

Mabuka was actually really polite despite being the ultimate evil for the entire setting. Wonder if they'll ever make her the antagonist for a future game.

>pain, shame and sadness
So he's kind of like a kamala, but it seems he doesn't really get any major benefits from fear.

Seems so.
Guess that's why he's a bit more cautious with how he deals with his meals.

If he made them too afraid right from the get-go, then they wouldn't want to play his "game."

He's kinda like the Beldam from Coraline. He preys on young, vulnerable children with shit lives by offering them wonderful adventures and "eternal happiness", all whilst waiting for them to step right into his waiting jaws. And despite the efforts of Benjamin and his master, he's seemingly been feeding quite well.

Shit, you're right, this is like Coraline. Though now who's better at this, Beldam or Morgo?

>just don't make an unattractive protagonist, people are conditioned to disregard those immediately.
That isn't even remotely true. They just need to be distinct and stand out.

Morgo is probably better overall. He can actually fuck with reality beyond the limited degree that the Other Mother can, since he's not confined to one specific area. He's also better at making general offers, and doesn't tend to overplay his hand until he's confident he's already won.

The Doorway is well beyond both of them though. It's at LEAST a Remor-tier threat, if not something akin to Mabuka herself.

>by comparison Benjamin made her look like a troll
This.
Benjamin is too much of a hansom foxchad to be paired with the goblina.

Do not lewd the fox.

I give it less than a week.

Attached: high as balls.jpg (1280x1218, 335K)

Benjamin seems like a really chill guy. Probably helps when you're likely older than time.

>Yikes forever
>Give yourself a fuck!
>I'm a little lady, that's what I am.
cute cute cute!!!

>yikes
>have sex
>i'm a girl
fancy~

>"I'm going to be a juice drinker!"
Honestly kind of glad that she ascended to Senerseede. Her parents would've ruined her otherwise.

>Apparently Misfortune is special in that she was able to hear Morgo, so how did he manipulate the other children into playing his games?
According to Benjamin's journal, it made a mistake when Misfortune could hear it in her head, which is why he sounds so surprised at the beginning of the game. It probably just gives most kids weird guiding feelings and strange events to keep them moving until they reach it and it can eat them.

Wait hold up, if it's not one of the Morgo's powers, then why does he have it in the artbook? ->

I suspect he fucked up and didn't intend to communicate with her at first, but ran with it so long as it would get him a meal in the end.

>tfw "Mr. Voice" starts to slip up by the end game and his voice breaks into different pitches and tones without any rhyme or rhythm
>he outright just resets everything when Misfortune doesn't do everything to the letter, and is heavily obsessed with the "game" being perfect
Morgo is actually pretty damn alien under that friendly facade it puts up. Makes me wonder how much it bothered to learn about humanity, if it didn't just immediately assume the language and behaviors without even understanding how humans really work.

>look this game up
>“Little Misfortune is a game about lost innocence, trust and childhood. It's about morbid curiosity, and the charming adventures we all go on as"
>Little Misfortune is an interactive story,
I'm out

To be fair, it only goes after children, so it's not like it has to be a flawless imitation of humanity. Kids are dumb.

All of them except Misfortune, but a lot of that can probably be pinned on her already being somewhat rebellious and having enough faith in Benjamin to not listen when it started trying to tear a rift between them.

Saw this pop up on steam, why is it trying so hard? It just comes off as a game built around someone who isn't really interested in having fun, but wants to shout out at the bar they are having a great time, despite being depressed and annoyed while being there.

Attached: 1511477949375.jpg (1093x868, 196K)

Apparently, it might actually be something that came about from the "Ultra-war" which happened in the past, or at the very least, the war allowed for all kinds of nasty shit to start leaking in.

fran bruh was amazing

Indeed, bruh.

meh
I wanted a comfy adventure about a girl who brings misfortune wherever she goes
wasted good concept

It was already pretty clear where the game was going to go from the start, user. And it's especially obvious if you played Fran Bow before it.

I did play fran bow thats why I expected something different this time.
I liked the ambiguity of fran in a sense that all the supernatural stuff may or may not have been just her hallucinations. This one basically confirms its all real since its same universe

I have a new game for you Yea Forums.

Knock knock, who's there?

I'd fuckin kill her.

what the fucking shit is this game? Someone fill me in.

Attached: EEtUheyUYAAy4uO.jpg (500x285, 23K)

Basically, it's meta-reality fuckery involving s young girl dealing with a shit family life and going on a quest for "eternal happiness" to give her mommy. May or may not involve eldritch horrors, and fox love.

Morgo pls

The ending was rushed but I enjoyed the character itself.
It was funny.

>I stole your eternal happiness -Benjamin
What was in the box? Or was it just a plant by Morgo?

The latter most likely. Morgo even admits that there wasn't any eternal happiness to begin with. It was likely just going to eat her then and there if she stuck to the original script it had set out.

I still feel really bad for her.

All things considered she got a good end. She gets to spend her afterlife with her fox husbando. Had she lived she would've likely grown up to become as broken as her mother.

Still better than your mom's ugly face.

There's also a possibility of her interacting with any other kids that escaped Morgo before, or even her encountering Fran. So yeah, it's pretty good.

I'm mostly just sad that her life was so fucked up that Morgo could manipulate her to begin with.

She's kinda hot, yeah.

She's pretty nasty tho. She pees in her pool, pukes constantly and at one point eats out of the garbage. And iff Morgo is to be believed she eats glitter (who even does that?)

Attached: 714120_screenshots_20190919135133_1.jpg (1920x1080, 281K)

A lot of the puke can be explained away by the fact that she ends up ingesting all kinds of drugs purely by accident. Hell, a lot of her behavior in general can be explained by her parents simply being absolutely shit at raising a kid.
