Never played an action game before, is this a good place to start? I've heard mixed feelings about it but I have no idea how much of it is genuine and how much is the usual Yea Forums circlejerk.
Never played an action game before, is this a good place to start...
Maybe a more orthodox game would be a better foray into the genre, but AC isn't particularly hard so it should be pretty accessible.
perhaps
It's a great game and not too hard to get into, but it's not really a great introduction to action games in general.
It works somewhat differently on several fronts, so that might throw you off.
But if you don't want to use it as an example of what the rest of the genre looks like, definitely try it.
it's fun
Astral Chain doesn't play like a typical action game, but it is very beginner friendly.
No, play Devil may cry 1 instead.
Hector
yeah this is a good start its kinda complicated but it gets easier over time and if you like doing post game shit theres a lot of that
FUCK
OOOOOFFFFF
Definitely for you if you aren't a hardcore platinum fan. It starts off slow and gives you plenty of options between combat.
Yeah why not. It’s a good video game. I don’t think there’s anything particularly intimidating or unapproachable about it. Or any action game.
>not counter locking hector to death
once you learn the timing to counter his spin it's so much easier holy shit
All of his attacks have a very long startup, so he also gets dunked on by any slow attack build.
How the fuck do you beat the bike section of file9 on ultimate? That arm legion style chimera has laser attack the kills you in one hit. It last longer than the dodge and tracts you. The one time I didn't die was when it inexplicably left me with one HP then it shot again.
You can dodge it by swerving to one side, then dodging to the other at the last second, it can only track you so far.
But that sucks and is inconsistent. Best way is to kill him before he gets the laser off. I used Arrow Legion.
Kelaino has a nice ass.
>that file 12 mission where you have to fight him and diomedes in the subway
>in a small enclosed space
>with fire in the corners
I barely used slow attack, is it that good?
It's very good, especially on sword legion because round sword is capable of activating it. The slow attack chance applies to your character as well, so speed star makes it absolutely broken.
I’ll have to give a try. Sword Legion completely fell off in use for me in the last bits of Pt Ultimate, because of no i-frames and the tendency to get OHKO’d during the sync attacks. Slow attack seems like it might restore the balance there.
It eases you in pretty nicely, so sure
Slow attack is definitely useful. It's good for crowd control and absolutely decimates single targets. Slow attack blaster is a very good utility tool against some enemies.
