has its fair share of issues, like the skill upgrading shit, but the meat of the game is the combat, and for me its the best in the series.

It's a 7/10 combat system buried into a 3/10 game, this includes things that directly feed into gameplay like monster variety and level design. Merely the best out of the 13 "sub-series"

The time limit is literally a non-issue, you get as much time as you start with just by doing the main storyline and keeping chronostasis up isn't an issue, if you got timeout ending the first time you might actually be bad at video games.

I beat it just fine and obliterated the final boss, the time limit still fucking sucks and annoying. It's the reason I never got around to starting it on hard mode, and now it might just be too late.

Don't know about you but when I play an RPG I like to have control at the pace I play. Having a timer, however artificial or manipulateable, pisses me off and I drop the game.

13-2 is actually pretty fun, I enjoy the timeline stuff quite a lot, I wish it was more in-depth however, but I enjoyed it the most out of all 3 games honestly. But I never did finish LR, got about halfway or so and quit, so maybe my opinion might be different otherwise.

13-2 is the only one I finished the post-game of and accidentally got the platinum trophy by trying to find the secret ending.
I felt cheated that they pulled a "lmao jk here's another sequel" card and didn't bother with lightning returns. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, go fuck yourself square enix.

13-2 is legitimately underrated, especially the soundtrack. If it was a standalone game instead of a middle chapter in an awkward trilogy, it would've been amazing.
