Currently playing it, half of the time you start teleporting, and the game crash if you lag while in the blade beared animation between phases, also, you have to roll earlier otgerwise you get hit by the enemies

I refuse to be the guy who wastes someone's time by dying in co-op. So how do I git gud against Blade Bearer? What're anons doing that seems to work?

I just started summoning people and taking them through all the bosses. It's way faster and the people you summon are generally better than the people you try to help.

First beat the boss without using ds. Maybe like 3 times at least so you have a groove for it. Then you should know how to deal.

You can also just summon them instead, you still get medals for it

Takes less time since you can just straight shot to the bosses instead of waiting for your host to explore every nook and cranny

Problem is it's fucking enormous, your character literally cannot move fast enough without quick dash (which realistically very few people are gonna approach her with a small weapon because she has fuck-you attack speed and blocking is more effective than dodging), and the hitbox lasts approximately six days.

I didn't enjoy the PS4 network beta, so I doubt that having the game play at 60fps will make the experience any better. As far as "Souls-like" games go, it's probably one of the worst ones I've played in terms of mechanics and gameplay. The clunkiness and love for multi-enemy gangbangs reminded me a lot of Dark Souls 2. I guess it didn't help that I had also just finished the Nioh 2 network beta test at the time and that game controlled and played way better.

It's a shame though because the character creation is probably the best I've seen since Dragon's Dogma.

Honestly, I don't feel like I really have room to be picky on something like that right now. The push for casualization is still there and making some outright ridiculous demands. Anime is under attack. Left wing activists who have no money and no life apart from their activism are far too successful at convincing out-of-touch businessmen that they're the voice of the consumer and that letting them subvert their companies is the only way to survive in the fantasy world that they've crafted. Best thing about the game is the character creator, the gameplay is just ok most of the time. I never really watch streams or videos of games to decide if I want to buy them, but I might for this to see if backstab-able humanoid enemies continue to make up 90% of what you fight. If there's better variety, it might save the game.

Everywhere. Her attacks are relentless and the only way I've found any room to hit her back is when she switches aggro to Yakumo. I can try and have actually gotten it pretty consistently in phase 1 but like he said in phase 2 she never does it.

The best counter attack opportunities I've found are when she

IIRC, she still does all of those attacks in phase 2. If you are struggling to conserve stamina, I'd recommend equipping the various stamina boosting passives the demo has. Phase 2 has the really annoying fire AoE and the tracking fire trail. The fire trail is best dodged by rolling forward and slightly away from it, which will cause it to overshoot. The AoE is more dangerous due to how quick it goes off, as you may have noticed. I recommend keeping your distance from her in general. While she may hop towards you aggressively, you are still encouraging her to use her more predictable moves. I'll try giving you some more help once I get to the Blade Bearer on this new character

Aset with that fortified greatsword, making use of steady bulwark and hard hitting attacks (bolt blast really chunks at her health good if you can land it). Her downtime isn't long enough for dragon lunge so I use that other two-handed one that lets off one hard instant swing.

okay so the bosses are p. gud and boobie bearer was pretty tough and fun, but my enjoyment fucking plummets at those LOST INVADING bits, in particular the one in the second depths area. what the actual fuck is that? is that co-op mandatory or something? there's an endless amount of fucks who don't stagger, have a range of one billion miles, and never stop swinging. i get assfucked from offscreen the second i stop rolling. it's like they filled the entire game with those chain-axe snake men from dark souls 3. doing a backstab means that my partner gets mobbed during the admittedly chu2 cool but 5 hour long cutscene animation. spacing doesn't help because they never let up the pressure. getting hit once means getting stunlocked by like 16 hits, and if your partner rezes you, they immediately draw all the aggro and die 2 seconds later due to their already lowered health.

i don't generally have a problem with the rest of everything else, hell, it looks fun and i'll probably get it. but jesus fuck it does NOT play well with large groups of enemies that mob you all at once. usually if you aggro a whole bunch of enemies that's on you for fucking up, but here you HAVE to deal with all of them at once, and as soon as you kill one another spawns.

also i'm fuckin' upset that the only available drills are tiny and require using almost all your accessory slots. give me giant drillhair.

When she took one of the children and started stabbing it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to stab them each individually “to elevate mankind to the next step in evolution,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s scientifically viable. After she stabbed each orphan and put them in a bag and started phase two, he kept interrupting her by monologuing really loudly.

I think it its a good start but it definitely has some flaws.
There's so much particle effects going on and enemies swarming you, you cant even see what's going on or even if someone's about to hit you.
Fighting groups of enemies is often more trouble than it's worth. It's a crap shoot if you survive or not. Like the ambush areas in the sacrifice area, is ballbustingly difficult cause theres so much bullshit. Not a single boss in the demo pushed my shit in as much as that fucking ambush area.
The enemies all attack at once meaning you can get stunlocked or stuck in guard until you die of chip damage, and they're very capable of lunging at you if you try to run.
The parry system is kinda fucked because instead of coming out in an instant, theres a delay on it, so you have to have even more foresight to actually use it because some enemies, specifically those thicc hoes, can sometimes swing too fast to react and parry or fake you out with a long swing that just hits right after your failed parry. Also, It might just be me but the back attack doesnt come out half the time even though I am like right on their spine.

The game's like they tried to make an action jrpg game but threw in Souls combat. What they got was a game that kinda works only some of the time that falls apart when they try to do anything crazy. But atleast the Character Creation is damn nice, and Io has some nice tits. Needs a boob and ass slider,.

I've notice I have been able to do the backstabs consistently by letting go of the movement stick when I am positioned behind them and press square.

The game is fun though

My main problem is that you can just swap your class and veil whenever you want, meaning there's no replayability because you can just do everything on one character. Plus there's no PvP, so I can't smash bads for hundreds of hours like I did in Souls.

That's stupid. I like both games and from what I've played - their combat feel vastly different. I'm really waiting for the day that "soulslike" stops becoming some sort of catch-all term that implies every game is the same. Just like FPS games used to be "Doom clones".

But that sounds like an improved souls game. It assumes you have learnt the patterns of enemies, instead of randomly spamming roll every time they look like they're attacking in your general direction and be invincible.
