I dunno; some guys? The point of modding is that the only barrier to entry for content creation is the basic will to create assets and an understanding of how to create them.
Do you actually want me to name someone who I wish would make mods for Underrail?
Come ho, gentleanon!
Honestly modding for underrail could be easy.
It's small 3d-baked-into-3d sprites, some of which are also handrawn instead, so making new sprites wouldn't be too hard
All dialogue is written, so no voice lines to record
hardest part would be knowing how to code it in
Don't argue with autists, they are physically incapable of seeing when they're wrong about something.
Underrail isn't the type of game to benefit massively from content addition mods, but it would benefit greatly from stat/formula rebalance mods. Being able to implement custom difficulties, rework enemies, change the effectiveness of player skills, etc. would be nice for the fags who have a problem with the game as it is.
Play as a hammer wizard
Currently playing as a Hammer hammer
Bre, bre.
Personally I would sell my big toe to make Deep Caverns less of a fucking slog and add tools/abilities to give normalfag builds more options than "attack" and "throw projectile".
who the FUCK sells omnitools???
jack quicksilver
>"Oh hey, please go to that lab and bring some files"
>Greater coil spiders everywhere
>Can't stealth in their sight to get the first shot
>They all fry all my electronics, instantly deleting my shield and leaving me at 10 hp
Fucking spiders.
johnny fastgold
What build should I go fir if I wanna have high persuasion?
harold at SGS I think
Jonathan speedyore
pure PSI
james swiftiron
Anything related to Psi, and/or Persuation/Intimidation
Play as a hybrid psiker
So, just dump all in Will and Intelligence
where the fuck do I buy workbenches
also I just iced that fucking hobo
You just wait till my two bros hear those gunshots of yours!
>don't take antivenom and let the stun hit to lure him close
>Locus of control the flare
Bite me asshole
Pretty much. 9 int, +10 will will give you access to most dialogue checks in the game.
from people around the underrail
Is intelligence used directly for any dialogue in the base game?
oh my fucking god I just checked the wiki are you fucking kidding me with this shit man fuck this bullshit ain't nobody got time for this shit man fuck
Yes
I'm 80% sure I remember Int being of some use in conversations.
How high is the check?
Where? Do you have a few examples at least?
Can't think of any off the top of my head, but they do exist
desu if you're doing a lore playthrough high int pure psi will get you most of what you need.
don't talk to me or my son ever again
>Kill Tchort just fine
>Get constantly Dominated by the 12 giant beetles by the river
9 int should do the trick for all INT checks in the game, except for one 11 INT check I've heard exists in Expedition.
>tiny rhino
>not a beetle
Shit dude you have either zero intelligence or perception.
You can't stealth snipe 12 beetles user, git gud
Shit man, the cap for understanding Yngwar is 11 int? That's insane if it's true.
user, I was the polar opposite of that, and it was Dominating
T-thanks
I don't really want to, though. I like playing hybrids and I'd prefer to stick with the 7/8 INT I have so far, and I can't justify going PSI with a full-INT energy pistol build. Maybe I'll play through once as a hybrid and then go back full-PSI
>there are people in this very thread which have not found those 20 perception secrets
>9 int
Fug
Thanks, jack.
Energy pistols here we come...
its not yngwar and its not expedition
its six in the elevator
SMASHED
Is that expansion content? I bought the game + expansion during the sale so I never played it without.
Also fuck sormirbaeren and fuck lemurians.
>its not expedition
Wait, you're telling me there's dialogue there you only get with eleven (11) Intelligence?
That's derailed. It's just cruel.
>combat doesnt end when native women running for their lives are all thats left
>have to menacingly chase after them like a psycopath
why game
Well yeah but the DLC adds stuff to the base game too like Dude's expanded quest, that's what I meant.
What's hard to understand? Genocide means genocide
Mod for murdering Sormibaeren babies in their crib when?
>When women and elderly outrun you as a tunsgetn tank
GENOCIDE WILL ARRIVE UPON YOU
EVENTUALLY
>humanizing demon-snake worshiping savages
>why game
Why not?
POISONOUS
CEILING
God damn i regret going down to the depths
I just wanna go back to the DLC already.
>have to
well, no
I felt like a god for slaughtering these women and elderly.
It's funny, I've targeted the elderly first before anyone else, because I've assumed that they knew how to use psi if they grew to be this old.
NIGGERS
I only decimate the villages because they get in the way of my treasure hunting, I didn't trespass their lands for the express intent killing every single one of them, that's just immoral.
But how will I save?
by exiting the map
What's "immoral" is being a race of half reptilian devil worshipers
What's equally as evil is letting such beings live
>well, no
I don't understand.
I have nothing against devil worship. You do what you gotta do y'know?
in the dark
I dont think the women are really into it, they're breeding slaves
eliminate the clergy and the warrior fanatics and it *should* fix itself
The shelf in the entrance of the Omega Compound
>knows literally nothing about women
kill all the men
crown yourself a savage king
>eliminate the clergy and the warrior fanatics and it *should* fix itself
When has that ever worked?
No, there's only one way to be sure.
Super steel
Is it worth the 3,000 each?
If you can use it, yes. Some effects can only be gained with infused leather.
great for fibers to infuse leathers
armor is shit. only good for roleplaying
I've got 90 base mechanics and 50 base tailoring. My build is a weird hybrid of stealth sniper and tin can assault gunner because I'm playing mostly blind
the fuck?
when has it ever been tried?
How do you bring Todd to the pirates?
>About to enter the Nexus of Technology
>Game autosaves out of nowhere
I've got a a bad feeling about this.
It autosaves in every ruin in the DLC.
tin can ar by day, stealth sniper by night
Infused pig leather boots will help you carry more, they're always useful.
>when has it ever been tried?
Exactly, you have no way of knowing if it'll work. I'm sorry user but it's better to be sure.
Frenneja! Ta! Ta! Nikke! Nikkt haaraen Mer, ta!
Armor made from plates provides objectively less DT but the same DR compared to regular-ass steel, so you'll get fewer pings when some nigger bursts you. It has the opposite problem compared to TiChrome. However, the weight reduction is nice and Infused Leather is absolutely fantastic.
psi + laser pistol build
Looks alright?
Huh, didn't notice it saving for others, guess I'm just dumb then.
Sormibaeren are not human, at least not anymore.
They're "humans" mentally and genetically twisted by the shadowlith, the more time will pass the less human they will be, Yngwar himself is one of the more mutated ones, in underrail's world a Sormibaeren genocide is legitimately the only good answer in the long run otherwise you'll have to legitimately deal with coked up lizardmen in the future, coked up lizardmen who also leave behind psighosts.
Just because some Sormibaeren chicks are fuckable it doesn't mean they deserve mercy, they're a ticking time bomb for actual humans.
>enter the health center{/spoiler]
>game autosaves
apart from expanding The Dude's quest and adding new locations, what does Expedition change in the base game and map?
it ruins build diversity by adding temporal manipulation
thats cuz you're evil
you picked a random weapon just so people wont make fun of you for going full psi eh?
drop int by 1 and put per into con and just go full cave wizard
FUCK. i wouldnt have even needed to buy one, there was one in the compound.
You can travel around Underrail rivers on jetskis and because of that you can now actually check what's on the other side of Camp Hathor.
Am i doing something wrong? I can give Todd to the Ferryman, but no one from the pirates has any dialog option about him.
wow how did you know
Fucking freaky snake viking chicks never crossed my mind, I just don't like that I'm being forced to kill those who can't fight and are legitimately running away. Sorry that I'm a big softie when it comes to video game murder.
>not killing the things that are literally making your enemies
The women are higher value targets than the men.
how is my build? not in pic: gonna take 20 throwing
>Get choked
>Defend myself
>Entire base turns hostile
??????
When daddy briggs chokes you you shut up and take it like the bitch you are.
>he hasn't thought about raping all the scandinavian women
>he hasn't thought about raping all the scandinavian women after exterminating all their men
>he hasn't thought about raping all the scandinavian women after exterminating all their men and crowning themselves king with a harem of sexy submissive scaly sluts to bear you all the adorable Leviathan/Godman/Psionic children you could want
pathetic
>all these loading times
a monkey made this game
How dense are you pipeworker?
>Leader filps his shit because theres a mole
>You REALLY look like a mole considering the circumstances (you came from nowhere and insisted on joining, you are suspiciously efficient at your work) so you are suspect numbero uno
>Guy that's accused of being a mole, and who really looks like a mole, murders the captain when accused
>"Lol leave him alone, he was just defending himself
turn of windows defender
Look i'm aware the surface world has died but surely due process hasn't
It's dying right now, I'm not sure why you expect the literal underworld to be any different.
They don't have courts in a privately funded expedition in the middle of the friggin sea. Besides, the guy was acting out of impulse, and you do have to admit that even if you aren't the mole, you sure as shit stink like one.
>but surely due process hasn't
>Northerners
>Due process
only process is a chem gun
>this one guy is more effective than the entirety of my discount escort PMC
>I KNOW, HE'S A SCURVY PIRATE MOLE!
Like I said zoner, you are suspiciously good at doing what you're doing, like someone trying to mole their way into an organisation, the guy says as much if you didn't immediately jump to stabbing the cunt.
WOW DOOD HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW IT WOULD KILL ME HUH????? THIS GAME FUCKING SUCKS DOOD ACK ACK ACK
Wowee, it's almost like a Southerner who has to scrounge and scrape to survive is better at scavenging for shit a piece of shit northerner with a stick up their ass that has never done anything of the sort is.
Aegis employees all of you. I'm stealthing out of here and starting a new life with Vivian in the north. Enjoy getting tentacle raped by Tchort you fucking barbarians.
Whatever loser
Enjoy your orwellian nightmare state
What check in the expansion do you need 11 int for?
>I'm stealthing out of here and starting a new life with Vivian in the north
*dabs and filters you*
I wanna work Brigg's pipe
God damn I hate the depths so much
I just want it to be over with
I haven't even gotten to the mutagen puzzle yet, does that involve more scavenger hunting?
What's better, main game or Expedition?
main
I like the writing of the Expedition so far, but it doesn't feel as if it gave you as many options to solve problems as the base game does. But I'm not finished with it yet.
you're going to have to get what's her name off it first
I prefer the expansion dialogue and lorewise. But the main overall is less annoying
Expedition is full of THOSE enemies, you know,THOSE ones?
I don't know yet user, right now I'm storming through a mall full of retards to get some fucking figurine
>natives status: genocided
>pirates status: eliminated
>fetid marsh status: purged
the black sea grows less populous by the hour
on the plus side i have endless amounts of organs and shrooms to turn into drugs.
jesus fuck the marsh though, if ever there was a nuke the site from orbit option i would take it regardless of cost. my fucking face when i found out you can get to the lemco warehouse just by sailing past one small pirate outpost instead of blazing your way through the entire insectoid cast of starship troopers
fuck locusts
fuck sea wyrms
fuck hermit crab ambushes when you're playing on increased game speed
fuck psi crab ambush electrorape
fuck heartbreakers
fuck spiders
burn the whole goddamn place down
set the whole fucking black sea on fire, there's nothing here worth the cost
can you reach level 30 on oddity without pickpocketing?
Hey a man's gotta have his funko pops
Yeah that part sucked, but expedition is full of fucking bastard enemies that poison you, destroy your armour, require a platoon's worth of bullets to put down, that snipe you with boulders for half your health, that run at your ass like Usain bolt at a bucket of fired chicken
Nothing.
>Breeze through Arena
>Kill most in one sniper shot
>Reach Carnifex
>Crits me for 380 with his bare hands and kills me instantly
Excuse me what the fuck?
>actually fighting sea wyrms
Jesus christ you can avoid pretty much every single one of them just do it
>complaining about strongmen
Literally W2C and EMP
Carnifex is the god hand, have fun
He's not Alexander.
ok, is there no place where I can actually sell my stuff?
I come back with a bag full of guns, sell 1 and the (((merchant))) is mysteriously out of cash
"sorry goy, looks like you gotta carry that back to your locker"
I'm sorry, I heard you talking about Carnifex being the Godhand and I just had to correct you.
>1 (one) of my shotgun pellets hits a friendly target during a fight and deals like 1 healthbar pixel worth of damage
>He and everyone else in the whole Underrail that saw him at least once in their life immediately turn hostile towards me
Epic.
That's his daugther you sick fuck
>someone steps onto a bear trap you placed and fucking dies
"eh, it was his fault for not looking where he was going"
Nah bre, they are piping, ask any Southerner.
no one fucking knows
Well, they're northerners.
I hate the mushroom forest so god damn much
Ok guys, Depot A in Junkyard is litterally IMPOSSIBLE. I'm at level 6, I can't do anything against the first group of enemies you meet in the first area. With 40 in Traps (the highest you can go at level 6), I can't neutralize a single mine in the area.
What the fuck am I suppoed to do ? I can't progress any more in the game, I have made every quest in Junkyard that I could complete with my level.
Are you Oddity or something, and you just haven't been collecting much?
There's no fucking way you've done everything and are only 6, I was 8 by the time I went into Depot A
Depot A is the trial by fire for your build
Besides that, making a mutant dog coat really helps, and molotovs are your best friend
they restock after about an hour or so. if you already sold him your shit you gotta wait until they get more. lugging around one hundred shitty guns and ratty leather armors is not worth it. pick the best shit you can carry and scrap the rest.
I did it at 7. Use stealth.
>Pipeworker means whore
Fuck me i'm retarded. All this time i thought it meant someone who literally works in the pipes.
That and faggot, it's a really multipurpose insult.
Depot A is filled with chokepoints. Cover the chokepoints with caltrops and hide behind your traps, also nades and molotovs are good. Though I just assumed that since you're going traps you're also going stealth.
It can mean a lot of things.
Like a cocksucker, or it's a general insult.
Also pipe and piping has several meanings.
What armor should I be using as pure psi?
I mean it's someone who literally works the pipe.
it doesn't mean either of those, it means someone living in the "pipeworks", like "zoner" means someone in the drop zone
it's just an insult because of the reputation people who live in that place have
Beetle and/or crab tactical vest
I lean more towards beetle personally
Name's different. Two options then, either Yahota is married, or she is Briggs' illegitimate kid. And if Briggs already took one step on the slippery slope of degeneracy, well...
the Faceless and Tchortists are fighting next to the elevator and what the fuck am I supposed to be doing
I play with Oddity and I explore everything. I don't know how you got there with a level 8.
How do you make a mutant dog coat ?
>
I use stealth. It's my first run so I play a stealthy sniper build. But Stealth is no use in this area, you have to fight the first group of enemies because they are guarding to gate to the north, you can pass them without being seen.
level 8 *on classic*
you're supposed to be even *higher* than that this early on in oddity
what the fuck are you doing user
Stand back and take the elevator when it comes, leave Lafayette and the other Scientologists to be domed by the faceless
That's weird. It's like calling someone "slummer" or "gettoite".
Be a man, skip mutagen puzzle. Face Tchort at max power.
>porch monkey
>trailer trash
Woah
I have made every quest Tanner gave me so far, and I explore everything to be sure to find every possible oddity, so I have no idea how you're supposed to get to Junkyard at level >8.
You're straight up lying. There's enough oddity XP to get you to at least level 9 if you do and explore everything before depot A. Probably 10.
These are your most helpful reviews. Say something nice about them!
more like calling someone a chinaman, hillbilly, nip.
All terms based on location, that are also derogatory
Why the fuck would I be lying, retard ? I want to progress in the game, so if there are quests I potentially missed, just tell me or shut the fuck up.
Depot is the biggest shithole around, I've run PSI build but maybe some of the shit I did will help you
There's plenty of choke points where you can use either traps or fireballs
Bunker underground is completely covered by vents, you can avoid 90% of troops there
After you take off the bunker on your way to immortal cunt USE STEALTH AT ALL POINTS
I basically walked out of bunker, mutant cunts noticed me but we didn't engage in combat, I went to other area, received the item and when I tried to get back 2 mutants and 2 hounds were waiting for me. If not for the sprint I probably would have to restart my run. It's much easier after Depot so don't give up and be careful with saves.
>deep caverns is supposed to be lower caves on steroids according to all npcs
>get there
>the whole place is just a sorry excuse of a collect shit quest to unlock the gate to the final boss
I was expecting the map to be just as big as the upper layers and exploring to be necessary/helpful for tackling the end boss, not this open the gate bullshit
what a fucking letdown
even depot A did it better
did you do junkyard quests? search rubble for oddities? cave hopper oddity?
Thanks, I'll try to buy every possible traps I can find and kill everyone with mines.
I wonder how many of them gave up on the game
not him but i'm always around 8-9 when i hit depot A and boy howdy i have restarted enough times to remember. are you looting everything you can find? exploring some? killing the occasional wildlife for their interesting body parts?
i am being subjected to severe rectal trauma at the hands of psi users
>dominating
>glass cannon high technicalities build
>come up against lunatics for the first time
>neural overload kills me in 1 shot
is there anything i can do to mitigate this damage?
Throw a grenade at them?
tbf a lot of games have stats like that where the easiest one only has that kind of completion rate
it's much more likely they either never got around to starting it, or they did start, but only got part way through the tutorial before deciding it wasn't the game for them
I completed two quests for Eddy (Scrapper's boss), two quests for Silas, the old man's quest (can't remember his name), also the quest with the embassy. I'd like to side with the Scrappers so I plan to make the last quest for Eddy (find the secret path the Eels take to reach Depot A) but I can't find it.
>are you looting everything you can find?
Everything.
>exploring some?
Yes. Perhaps I missed some areas but when I find a path, I always explore it.
>killing the occasional wildlife for their interesting body parts?
Yup.
Did you do the camp hathor quests?
Here's a good example.
Do you think 1/4 people thought bleak falls barrow was too hard and quit because of it?
They bumped the Kill 50 enemies with a sword/spear achievements a bit. I remember checking them a couple of days before the review, and they were sitting at something like 0.4~0.6%. Now that sword is 1.2% one of the new weapons actually surpassed the least popular weapon of the base game, chem pistols. Poor chem pistols.
you'll find secret path in depot a
i dont know what to tell you. if you did everything at sgs, picked up rat ears, dragon tail and other random oddities you should be around 9
buy as many grenades as you can throw them at every opportunity
he can't dude, that's after Depot A
do I use super steel? the armor penalty is pretty big
Did you explore ALL the underground tunnels to the north of SGS and killed the lunatics?
Did you pickpocket Black Eel's and Scrapper's oddities?
Did you steal the oddity from the house that has a fence, a camera and a dog guarding it north of the junkyard docks?
Did you go south of SGS station to meet with the ironheads, warhogs and plenty of beetles and goliaths and areas to explore in a huge lake zone?
Did you kill enough cave hoppers to get that dragon tail oddity?
looking down through the acheevos now and
>it's always the blue wire
except that one time when it was BLACK STYG YOU FUCK
>Crawler poison can be applied to caltrops
i guess thats a no?
i have mk3s but theyre not enough to kill in one turn and there are like a dozen of them
items that increase carrying weight?
I already got the belt that gives +30
theres food and unique armor too
Where is Talos Outpost? I'm supposed to go there before the Tchortist place.
Are deep caverns more of a slog then the dlc ? Bc im sure as fuck boredof clearing hordes in every area. Core city, rail crossing and foundry were comfy compared to this non stop PvE
only if you have armor sloping + nimble to bring down the penalty
Been using Shotgun and AR on my tincan.
Should i replace AR with sniper to better cope with Shotgun's shit accurancy?
unless you have a way to get in close as tincan with sprint or temporal youre better off juggling a light and heavy caliber ar with commando or an ar and sniper
Any way easier way out of the barracks in the Dude's quest once you trigger the spec ops squad? I managed to kill all the regular troops but these guys are raping me.
Cheese strats welcome
>not deleting your achivements when you complete the game so you can get them again if/when you play it again
Help, I'm considering unarmed psi build with Lightning Punches, but I don't think that I'm able to make any psi boosting armor with 20% or less armor penalty.
>get off SGS after lighting up outposts
>run into a big pack of cats infighting
>throw a grenade and miss horribly because 0 throwing until later build
>they fucking kill me before the next turn
these random events are something else
can I reasonably dump Agility? the only reason I have not to dump it is to get sprint, but that is a 3 point investment just for movement points.
slumdog is a real insult, and very close actually, it's probably the inspiration.
I have both sprint, armor sloping and tabi boots
Dumping AGI will fuck you over if you ever intend to use Stealth and having less movement point in this game is never a good idea unless you're a tin can.
The reasonable threshold is 4 AGI, if you ever go below 4 AGI then you must make sure to have something that makes up for it.
>Intimidation
It would be cool if it had a combat use outside of Yell. Maybe cause enemies to panic when you obliterate someone next to them.
Pipeworker
sturdy vest is still pretty great
the thing about shotguns is you gotta build for them big time to make them effective. pumping up crit chance and taking feats like sixth shell, fragmented chaos, pellet mayhem etc. without them you wont be breaking dmg threshholds. accuracy's honestly not that big of an issue given the spread mechanic, but it's a heavy investment to make work. whereas snipers and ar just need full auto and aimed shot and you're all set
Why yes, I humanize christians, how could you tell?
there is a feat that does exactly that user
Maybe I'll just live without that feat and go for the riot shield armor.
you don't get to have your cake and eat it too unless you're pure psi.
pick lightning punches OR a psi vest.
AKA both, but only put on the vest before fighting something a proxy'd telekinetic punch doesn't instakill
contrary to popular belief sprint is not mandatory
but if you haven't finished the game with it you're rather unlikely to finish it without it
it's a combat panic button that any build can use in a game chok full of surprises
>humanizing christians
Cringe and hylicpilled, you'll never achieve gnosis like that.
brainlet here, which combat shotgun is better for a tincan burst build, Despot or Tyranny?
underrail.com
Wtf you're right. Cool
always tyranny. especially if you have full auto and sixth shell, burst is an instant kill anything button
>throw a mind bullet/flashbang at him
>Caltrop the fuck out of his feet/spam your 13 psi to cast 50+ neural overload at him a few times
>Run away when he gets close
I mean it was how I fought in my time in the arena so it must've been how he thought he wanted to die
You're really not meant to disarm the traps, underrail wants you to simply walk around them.
Also kite more, use grenades.
Nigger I tried throwing a flashbang at him and it said he was immune.
you sure he didn't just resist it?
turn off autosaving
I mean, it said IMMUNE over his head when I threw a flashbang at him, so I just assumed it meant he was immune
How do you deal with Ancient Rathound on hard? Just got to Rathound king and there are TWO of them. That's beyond brutal for my puny crossbowman. They don't fear fire, immune to stun, the fuck do i do? spam traps?
had you stunned him before?
You're supposed to disarm them with your face.
Forcefield and play as a hammer wizard
The answer is always caltrops. Preferrably ones coated with crawler poison.
>See you in two turns.
Where the hell do you learn the sequence for the mutagen puzzle?
God help me if it involves more back tracking i'm gonna throw this game in the trash
It was literally the first thing I did on my turn after he pushed his fist up my ass for 95% of my health through my shield.
Walk up naked to them and start yelling: "I AM INVICTUS!" Keep doing that until they submit.
How strange.
*spots you*
*bursts you*
CHADCAN wins again.
>Make big dick tincan/hammer build
>Barely walk a step and already wheezing and out of breath
>Get to target, can't swing hammer
>Pass turn
>Target walks away and shots from a distance
>Have to drag my metal ass to there so i can waste another turn again
>Repeat
What is the real Tincan build? I need help
did you get sprint? Have you invested in adrenaline shots?
>478728020
if you're going tincan hammer you need to be wizard tincan hammer. armor sloping, body weight training and temporal. nimble and sprint help too if you can fit them in, but not required
>had a dream that I had tamed a psi beetle as a pet
>named him Gary
>Gary the psi beetle lived with me in my apartment
>loved him dearly
>one day I came home and he was gone
>frantically searched for him fearing the worst
>maybe something fell on him and crushed him, or someone stepped on him
>you know cuz he's a bug and that kinda shit happens to bugs
>look everywhere at home
>look everywhere nearby
>ask random people to no avail
>wander into some far off cave system looking for him
>find some psi beetle remains
>surely it was just some other psi beetle and not Gary
>right?
>wake up before finding him or figuring out what happened to him
I miss Gary.
The dude reveals some pretty spooky stuff about the world you live in.
You thought they were just mutated spiders/scorpions but oh no.
>Stand behind corner
>Enemy comes to me
>Kill enemy
user, you're supposed to dump int in the GAME, not real life
I do not intend to ever put a single point into stealth or dodging/evasion
how bad are my movement points going to be at 3 agility? I can still use my action points to move at least. I am going to do psi up to 15 will at endgame and I will have temporal manipulation to make up for it. I also have 7 con
Adrenaline shots are basically epipens right?
It's a surprise that there aren't more people in fucking nightmare comas with how much people slam that shit into their necks at a moments notice
how much will do i need for full lore?
Is the guy who had problems with psi-beetles because he was running a psylet run around?
Because I just found out as a psychic you can just dab on goliaths with Psi-Cognitive interruption.
its bad. you can soak up damage but the higher the difficulty the more enemies there are to overwhelm you so kiting and breaking LoS becomes more important
Doom levels of lore.
It exists, there's a bit of a depth, but at the end of the day you go to place, shoot dude, dominate.
>did you get sprint?
Yes, but it doesn't help much since i have 0 mp
>Have you invested in adrenaline shots?
No, i feel i have to put points into another 20 things already to not be a complete scrub
>black dragon poison can't
psi abilities having zero defense is trash fuck you styg
I expeceted some kind of headband to help defend vs. psi but NOPE fuck you tank it all you non-magic fag :^)
no way op, you saw the seth video too?!? what a bizarre coincidence!
Standard so far. Don't waste of throwing, in the end the grenades hit the target anyway and if your character's retarded enough to kill himself with an explosive, just reload your quicksave.
>epipens
I mean you make them by grabbing a random syringe. So it's literally a adrenaline shot, the kind of long needled ones you jab into your heart to administer.
Styg should really update that, shouldn't take much effort and will trivialise lunatics and beetles
Would be funny if tinfoil balaclavas give you psi protection.
they will remain savages
Aye Jack they're just Rathounds my man you don't gotta do th- *THUKSHHHH* well okay that's your 15th adrenaline shot today...
Nah, greater immunity to mind control
no it would actually be NICE because who in the fuck even bothers with that shit
when you think about it the life expectancy in this setting is probably in the teens so theres no reason for anyone to care about their health
I mean really who just covers their head in tinfoil wrap?
so this is why he didn't want to give the keycard
No he's just a lazy faggot. He could easily deal with them.
unless you go full tinfoil anti-heat boi you would just look like a fucking retard and get called a dumb lookin pipeworker
True Chads wear quality 150 Smart Goggles with swag purple lenses for that dope 40% bonus damage on special attacks. I don't have to dodge anything if they're all dead.
I gave the Rathound Chad a queen. Congratulate me for this decision
Okay, now kill him and claim her for yourself.
>not giving yourself a bonus 20% crit chance
i mean they both obliterate
It's not so hard once you have good lockpicking/hacking skills.
You'll find plenty grenades, traps and shit to fight those muties.
Put traps on the doors and let them come. Once they're stuck in the door use the grenades.
Real talk I actually kinda want to find out how the ratboy genuis dynasty would work out. I mean he genuinely yearns for a protogé and I'd like to at least go 50/80 years into the future to see how a bunch of people with total control of rats would look as a society. Also because the fact that his kids and potential grandkids would not have his "rathounds are my family" mentality.
now kill him for double the exp and another regalia
user smart goggles no longer work on burst
i'm so sorry
what are you trying to accomplish/10
Don't you mean kill her and take her place as the ratkings boi slut?
tactical mind rape smg man
Can I kidnap her and still negotiate peace?
Fucking Tchortlings
I've killed more of those bastards than everything else i've killed combined.
Can someone post the shotgun guide or point it out to me if it's already been posted before?
get all the shotgun perks and maximize per
5 dex for leading shot, 9 perc for fragmented chaos, you probably want sprint. figure out the rest yourself.
well, it's just so odd I'm not really sure how to rate it other than "what the fuck are you doing nigger":
>dumping will and int, no psi feats, still put 110 points into thought control
>three crafting skills to 110 with 4 Int
>50 throwing instead of the bare minimum 30 for grenadier, but no three-pointer
>110 points into evasion but 0 into dodge
>no nimble until level 12
>"tactical" build with no traps
seriously, I'm genuinely confused
For fuck's sake, I already know how to build. I just need a goddamn guide on the actual shotguns because the wiki has jackshit on them.
>thought control is for cc, damage comes from burst
>2 points of per or agi are worth more than the skill bonus from int
>mistake
>dodge is shit
>nimble is shit
>traps are shit
any more questions
theyre not complicated
none, have fun with light armor and no dodge
they are
i dont think youre going to be CCing a lot with only 110 tc. i would just go 0/45/35/70 on psi with premeditation.
>getting hit by melee
stay protected dodgebab
yes
without hacking/lockpicking too
WHERE DO I GET SERRATED BLADES FOR MY ARROWS?
ALSO I PICKED UP snipe DID I DONE FUCKED UP?
Snipe is exactly what you want for shitty ass crossbows.
already wasted. i will put only 20 so i guess it will be ok, but thanks
they spray pellets at random trajectories within a set cone. pellets always hit (i think), can go through multiple targets and roll for crits individually. lots of pellets = high damage but low armor pen and low pellet shells the opposite. you have to heavily invest in the feats to make them pay off. leading shot, 6th shell and the crit ones are all really powerful. thats about all there is to it.
you can just google to find forum posts that list the differences between the frames.
have fun getting fucked by crawlers because you can't negate 5 melee attacks with the click of a button
snipe is shit just always use ambish
What manga should I read to get me hyped for my first playthrough?
fire punch, become a psi monk
>tfw no new RPGs like Underrail where you control only one guy
>everyone's making party-based RPGs
It's all so tiresome. I don't want to play that shit.
Play Atom RPG if you haven't already, scratches the same itch Underrail did but with a more blatantly copied Fallout 1/2 world
>picking Nimble on level 30 with 3 agility
OH SHIT NIGGER WHAT ARE YOU DOING
what do you do with loot? store it somewhere or just sell everything?
Check out age of decadence
>fire punch
>plot goes totally haywire halfway through, all characters change for no reason, ending is meaningless existentialism that would give lovecraft a boner
Surprisingly on point for this game.
Yes
it was "experimental" bullshit from the very beginning you just didn't see it
i'm hurt, you have no faith in my recs
It was experimental but it was actually a story with a plot and characters that could be understood. The second Doma or whatever his name was gets the old fire punch the entire plot ceases to make any sense and all the characters are basically different people.
This is what happens when you idiots keep flushing your semen down the toilet along with the nuclear run off.
Expedition is frustrating because of some of the mechanics including the main quest being on a fucking timer unless you commit genocide (which is hard before level 25)
But it has a lot more fun and unique "dungeons" and exploration in general
Plot wise I guess it's about the same.
Fuck mangoes, watch Jin-Roh.
>incest within the first chapter
Already own it from some bundle, but never played it. It's definitely on my list.
Yeah. That too is also on my list though I don't own it yet. I just don't want to start another post-apoc RPG right away after finishing Underrail. I kind of want an RPG that's a mix of 40k and Fallout in its theme. The problem is there are very few RPGs like this to choose from meanwhile there's a fucking UNENDING list of party-based RPGs and my brain just doesn't work in those game and I can't get invested into the games.
eww
what else am i supposed to do? keep firing it off into that old crusty towel i keep behind the bed? because that's how you get mindshrooms.
Is it possible to kill The Beast without giving it the Terminator 2 treatment?
Have you tried Caves of Qud? World setting is like bizarro apocalyptic plantpunk with ancient alien civilizations and psi mutants
How exactly do you make a psi monk? I want to be an unarmed dodge/evade guy with TM and maybe psychokinesis, but I don't really know how to make my stats without totally dumping CON and risking having to f9 every other fight.
>game's been in early access since 2015
Maybe if it looked better than Dwarf Fortress.
>the main quest being on a fucking timer
I'm pretty sure those beach defenses are tied to progressing the DLC's main quest. I always get them after the same ruins, no matter how much i dick around between them. Hell, it was the same when I was doing the pirate questline, the raids still happened after those same ruins.
you're gonna dump con and you're gonna like it
First character i have made.
I have no idea what i am doing but i plan on getting in every closed room/container and i will crafting everything.
I am also getting raped by every single crawler that i bump into.
Latest mission i did was the train heist one.
>Finish Underrail
>don't have anything else to do
>playing as a girl
ha
GAY
I've heard that you CAN fail the main quest by getting the Aegis camp wrecked, and it doesn't necessarily mean losing all soldiers in the invasions - because there is also some gimmicky resource system included - Briggs gives you info about supplies remaining. Now I haven't actually gotten to the point of supplies running out, because when they got "extremely low" I said "fuck it" and just went full murder mode on Magnar's funhouse.
you're an agile little psionic whore aren't you?
bend over for your psionic superior
I liked the portrait so i rolled with it.
I loved the gray base part because of how a soldier that managed to see me out of stealth reacted.
Play it again
Afaik those resources are also tied to the main quest. You can deplane them faster twice if you give them to the muties or the pirates, but other than that it's up to the MQ. And I think those resources only matter in the beach defenses themselves, it's what decides how many drugs, grenades and shit your Aegis allies have for the fight.
i've had a compass and nevrer had to use it, at what point do i need it or is for DLC driving?
oh, so if i deplete all the medical supplies maybe the dumb chucklefucks will stop popping adrenaline on the first turn of combat and then spending the next 20 turns fatigued and useless?
It's a reminder for retards that north is where red needle points.
just for helping you know which way is north user
>all these 1990 era sized maps
He wanted the amiga audience.
You don't NEED Aegis, you can technically do everything and get the thing alone
Nothing will stop the aegis troopers from being dumbfucks, if it isn't popping adrenaline like a diabetic in a sugar factory it's having 5 guys on one side dealing with 2 half dead Sormi while the remaining guys on the other side are getting their heads caved in.
huh, i thought the screen would just rotate randomly in areas if you have low perception but i guess it's just for retards
I was expecting some navigational fuckery when i saw the compass for the first time.
Turns out its just so you dont get confused because of the camera angle.
>he cares about graphics
So this is why you've only played shit RPGs
that would be retarded
the game didn't even have a map until a little while ago
no one would play this game if the dev made 4 versions of every room just to fuck with people's sense of direction
Thoughts on pack rathound? Is it worth picking on low strength builds? It doesn't directly affect combat, but being able to carry more shit seems quite valuable.
pure QoL
Personally I don't feel it's worth it just to make inventory management easier on myself
>get to core city and need to secure the drill machine
>whatever it's just two goons guarding it
>deal some damage, next turn one of them pops me once and i die
if you're not starved for feats it's a massive quality of life improvement, especially if you need to carry ammo.
did you have your shield on?
_no
happens to the best of us
Could be fun in labyrinths if map rotated randomly on every subarea transition
"fun"
>can't put just any usable item in the utility slots
>ONLY traps and throwables
the utility slots are different from the action bar user
Exactly. The action bar is for actions, why is it Combat Utility and not just Utility?
>that glorious feeling when you craft your own energy shield
I think I'm good for a while now.
because that's for stuff that *has* to be in those slots to use user
you can use medicine from inside your inventory, but you can't throw a grenade unless it's in your utility slots
that's why you want more, and that's why you wouldn't want to fill it with stupid shit you don't need to
Get ZONED pipeworker!
For balance, I guess. It limits the shit you carry into battle and changing things up costs a turn/lots of AP.
>Get done killing tchort, the root of all evil
>Get killed by beetles on the way to the elevator home
Truely insects are the root of all evil
>All stats are super important and impact your character both in story and gameplay except maybe will if you don't do psi
>You have to specialise in a few or you suck at everything
>But it has to be the right kind of specialization or you are fucked depending of what you want to do
>Making a middle of the road average joe is setting yourself for failure
Not complaining but playing this right after fallout 2 is making the autismo in me short circuit, smoke is comming out of my ears thinking about if i should put points into any of the 3 diplomacy skills after failing a dialoge check
There a way to heal myself without a doctor or bandages and hypos? Killing these things takes a lot out of you.
what about dc inventory limit
it might be the difference between having enough ammo and consumables and not
>Satanic Todd Howard character pic
kek
you just gotta grit your teeth and accept that you're not gonna be able to do everything. pick a few things and be super good at them. it hurts the ol' autismo, i know, but you get used to it.
>Start new playthrough
>Sequence break like usual
>It dawns on me I can virtually get to level 4 before even getting to old man Ratula
Uh, I might actually try this time.
>another indie rpg with a subterranean setting
have any of you guys tried this series?
Turn your shield on lmao
huh
I feel the same way whenever I play desu
I just want to do everything but I know I can't so I sit there agonizing at level ups for hours.
Didn't even take psi my first run because of how many points it takes away from everything, figured it would be better on a second playthrough once I know what I'm doing better.
So is this game any _fun?
I have no motivation to play games anymore but I like CRPGs and this looks pretty cool
The will scaling really benefits PSI builds of PSIbrids that get to 7 will for Force User. I wish Yell got more mileage, but PSIbrids tend to be feat-starved.
Vogel is a hack who preyed on young innocent roleplayers during the great crpg drought of the late noughties
DOMINATING means DOMINATING pipeworker
I've heard people playing it, but I never have heard about people actually finishing the game on it
Yes, I love Exile/Avernum. I grew up playing Vogel's games and they have a special place in my heart, if you can get past the low budget indie jank of Avernum and Geneforge they're some of the best CRPGS imo up there with Underrail.
I'm not being hurt by THEM, I'm being hurt by MYSELF, Psionic Mania costs 15% of your health to use.
Just because there was a drought and half the shit is ctrl+c, ctrl+v'd into the sequels doesn't mean they're bad
don't bully the boomer
if you like CRPGs there is a good chance
don't know anything about your tastes so that's as much as i'm willing to promise
there's lots of people in these threads that literally use oneshotting tchort on dominating as an example of how OP their builds are
I haven't seen anyone oneshotting Tchort and frankly I don't see how you could. Seeing as you'd need to do like 10k Mechanical damage to do it but perhaps I'm missing something.
So it's pretty much confirmed that a hypothetical underrail 2 is gonna be Northern Underrail, tracking down Tanner, right?
If so, what would be better, playing as your character now, or having your character now turn up as an NPC, or dying before the events of the game?
Literally just aimed shot with a crafted sniper rifle
Yes, easy to get lost in the world.
Combat is actually fun unless you try something stupid like main weapon throwing knives.
This game will let you set a wall of traps pre-fight or set an entire room on fire, killing everyone inside with a firebomb.
What i'm saying is the game lets you have fun.
No bullshit like "you can only have 1 active trap because balance".
Right but I did literally that on my run and I think I hit him for something like 5-6k tops with a 12.7mm Corsair quality ~150.
Nah nigga that's gonna be the second DLC. It had BETTER be the second DLC.
Styg wants "horizontal progression" so I assume we won't be able to continue on from where the plot of the base game ends, no.
Considering what he is and the magnitude that the northern rails' map would be, styg'd be better off making a new game.
Does Ethan fuck you if you play as a female and train in your room?
Thanks anons, I do love me some creative combat. Looks like I'll actually buy it too, damn indie dev making actually cool games.
I'm gonna try to get into this game for the third time (the awfully slow and complex combat even for a CRPG; the boring, slow movespeed that makes exploration a chore in a game where exploring is your main source of getting experience; and having no dialogue log paired with missing important quest info if you're not paying attention all the time, turned me off big time, at least all of this was that way when I tried it). I seriously don't like having to ask other people for what works or waste 10 hours on my own only to find out I can't progress due to investing in shitty skills, but I'll suck it up.
I want to go for guns, is there a strenght requirement for shotguns or sniper rifles? Can I get all the crafting skills or is there one that will be useless for a gun focused build? Is it worth it to put points into the dialogue skills? Are dodge/evasion any good? What about throwing? Should I put points into hacking/lockpicking and stealth every level or only up to a certain point? Is there a way later in the game to permanently gain stats like in Fallout?
>Spend a ton of time doing all of abrams shitty tasks
>The end result is a massive infodump on the word and current affairs, as well as an operating base and high quality gear store
>MFW
This game is insane
there is always another shield, it never stops
Do you actually have to decide between Preservation and Investigation at the Institute? Or do you just keep working for both?
Is it me or is the water cave music a lot like the voids soundtrack?
Why do you think he gives you that psi power for "free"?
you get work for all of them, you can do it all or just one, as soon as you finish one of the quest chains you get sent to eidein, but you don't need to go right away, you can just finish every other quest
yes, 5 or 6 for some
probably don't need bio but mech/elec are very useful
not if you're worried about not having enough to go around
yes but you only if you go all in on them
throwing is very good, grenades are lifesavers and putting them in the right spot can make or break encounters
if you're short on points to go around pick either lockpicking or hacking but never neither of them, stats and tools can give bonuses so you can afford to be a little under the curve, stealth can get lots of bonuses from armor/items
every 4 levels you get a stat point
>Ever interacting with Ethan as a female
I mean, unless you're gerontophile...
Expedition, and the rest of the game spoiler:
Does Tanner have much to say about the acorn? I didn't manage to get it before he left
if it works for 700 yr old vampires that look like 12 yr old girls, it works for him
I'm playing as a male, but it struck me as odd that you can choose either your room or the projector room.
One big flaw of the game is at the very start it asks you to build your character, and if you build it wrong (and you will) you will end up fucked 10 hours in.
Just keep that in mind going in, don't agonize over stats, just go 5 in everything, play the game for a bit, see what you like, then re-roll around that.
Psi vs guns, Snipers vs crossbow, Rifle vs SMG, Shotguns vs Melee, Dex melee vs Str melee, stealth vs heavy armor, etc.
Game actually has a lot to pick from
>the boring, slow movespeed
it has buttons in the bottom left that speed up out-of-combat gameplay, and options for in-combat speed
>no dialogue log
the log in bottom left can be changed to dialogue
>is there a strenght requirement for shotguns or sniper rifles?
yes, as well as ARs
none for pistols or smgs
>Can I get all the crafting skills or is there one that will be useless for a gun focused build?
depends entirely on what you might do
Traps and making meds?
then biology is nice
grenades and chem pistols as well as meds?
chemistry has you
it varies for each, but guns absolutely should have mechanics
> Is it worth it to put points into the dialogue skills?
only if you have good will, if so yeah sure
>Are dodge/evasion any good?
only if you go all in
>What about throwing?
grenades are, knives aren't except maybe for poisons
>Should I put points into hacking/lockpicking and stealth every level or only up to a certain point?
steamcommunity.com
skill threshold section
>Is there a way later in the game to permanently gain stats like in Fallout?
every few levels or so you can put a point into any stat, and even put it above the char creation limit this way
>slow movespeed
press + on keyboard to speed up game outside of combat
>slow, complex combat
Go psi
>Snipers/shotguns str
You'll want about 5-6 str
>gun focused build
You can get all if you dont take many others. Mechanics is what builds guns. You can also do Electronics for gadgets and shields.
>Dodge/Evade
I've seen so many mixed results i would personally prefer to go for high con or something.
>Dialogue skills
Avoid Intimidation, Barter is sort of nice at best, Persuasion is used most often and is mostly to avoid combat or take little shortcuts.
>Hacking/lockpicking
good to put points in and containers will tell you if yes or no. Stick to 5 point increments and get the switchblade that increases lockpicking.
>permanent stat increases
Hard, permanent increases i dont think so, you can get some "traits". Drugs will have to take care of stat increases.
He gets an alien chubby
...
>is there a strenght requirement for shotguns or sniper rifles?
I've heard yes.
>Can I get all the crafting skills or is there one that will be useless for a gun focused build?
This is something you can freely invest in as you go through the game, look at what crafting items need for them to be used, you'll get a general idea of what you need pretty fast.
For example, hypos and boosters require biology to make and biology to make their parts.
>Is it worth it to put points into the dialogue skills?
Absofuckinglutely
>Are dodge/evasion any good?
Dodge is garbage and should only be taken for it's feats if you want them, evasion is good for getting out of sticky situations where you need to bomb your feet. You'll generally rely on shields to block ranged damage, and armor to block melee.
>What about throwing?
Throwing is really strong, but it's a utility skill, generally not something you should make your primary source of damage.
>Should I put points into hacking/lockpicking and stealth every level or only up to a certain point?
hacking and lockpicking are always useful, though you can go without them, stealth is a good combat initiator, the more points you have the closer you can get. Attacking breaks stealth.
>Is there a way later in the game to permanently gain stats like in Fallout?
Every 4th level gets you 1 additional stat point.
Took me a while to get into the game, by the fourth time I made a character I found what I liked and how to make it good.
Problem is that apparently it doesn't actually work all that well for him.
Does he try and nick it from you? or does he just try really hard not to get too erect?
>slow
hit + on numpad to speed up the game, you can also speed up the combat animations in options.
>strength requirement for shotguns or sniper rifles?
Yeah, you'll need like 6-7 points or so
>crafting
Mechanics is probably most useful for guns. Electronics for shield generators and emp grenades. Bio for drugs and poisons. Chemistry for explosives. Tailoring for non-metal armors. They're all useful depending on what you want to use.
>dialogue skills
Mercantile is good to unlock more inventory at a lot of different shops. Persuasion and Intimidate can help quests go smoother, choose one or the other if you want to level them.
>dodge/evasion any good
Only if you're going light armor and if you do level these, you must level them hard or they lose a lot of effectiveness.
>throwing
Good as a secondary for most builds, not so much if you're psi since many psi abilities will cover the AoE or CC effects that grenades can supply.
>Should I put points into hacking/lockpicking and stealth every level or only up to a certain point
If you're playing on oddity, hacking and lockpicking are important since many oddities will be behind locked doors, boxes, or crates. They're pretty useful on they're own but not entirely necessary to go through the game. Highest hacking/lockpick skill you need is 130.
>Is there a way later in the game to permanently gain stats like in Fallout?
Some feats raise stats, but I don't know if there's any items/consumables like bobbleheads or anything.
Should I tell Al about the depths? It feels mean to send him to basically a death sentence.
Thanks for all the advice anons. I've played some genuinely great games that I dropped several times within the first few hours, then tried again until I "got it" and started really enjoying them, so that's why I'm giving it another try.
>(the awfully slow and complex combat even for a CRPG
The slow part aparently got fixed with a speed up gouge in the options, its still pretty fucking complex
>no dialogue log
There is one now
>sniper rifles
I think the biggest require up to 7 Str but i forget
>crafting skills
All are important depending of what you want to build, but electronics mechanic and tailor are the most important, the other 2 are less so in my opinion but a few points there are still welcomed
>dialogue skills
I don't know, i have mercantile and a few points into persuation but i don't know if it makes a diference
>dodge/evasion
The meme answer is no, but yes if you focus on it enough (aparently)
>throwing
The skill itself is not that important even if you like granades
>Is there a way later in the game to permanently gain stats like in Fallout?
Errr, yes, every 4 levels you get a stat point and endgame feats give you stat increasing feats from level 26 on
>not liking knife masters
God bless for Pathfinder.
they do make a difference user
it's effectiveness is based entirely on how far in you're willing to go
he freaks out if you try and cut off the conversation if you mention it before giving a long info dump someone like him shouldn't know that makes ezra look like a more credible person
Where can I find a bullet strap belt?
Most reliable way is Constantine at 95 Mercantile.
My favorite thing to do is walk down a hallway and realize too late I clicked an explosive barrel for my character to go punch.
baka desu senpai
holy shit get a fucking general already jesus christ

>cleaning up after fight so I can have my unused ones back
>click to disarm

>character steps onto bear trap
>die because I hadn't healed yet thanks to hypoallergenic crawler aids
yeah our one thread is the real problem on Yea Forums, you tell us
Nigger
Alright, will keep an eye out. I only just finished Depot A, so I've learned that I want one.
Play as a hammer wizard
"CRAWLERS could be here" he thought "I've never been in these caves before. There could be CRAWLERS anywhere." The hefty weight of his steel sledgehammer felt good in his bare hands. "I HATE CRAWLERS." He thought. TenseCaves.mp4 was reverberating troughout the tunnels, making it far too scary even as the 700 credit psi beetle brain soup circulated trough his powerful, psychic brain and washed away his (extremely merited) fear of POISONOUS ROOF NIGGERS in the dark. "Play as a hammer wizard, you can go anywhe-" Player enter initiative 23+4-1000=-973 12 mechanical 7 toxic 13 mechanical 12 toxic STUNNED CRITICAL HIT 83 mechanical 112 toxic 40 mechanical 20 toxic YOU ARE DEAD
You misunderstand the purpose of /vg/, video game generals on /vg/ are about things that have a fanbase large enough to sustain them forever.
Reoccuring threads on Yea Forums are temporary, these threads were created because sseth got people interested, they'll disappear eventually.
I'm rolling a psi-less hammer recently, so you better get ready for another drawing
You just wait till I get Heavy weight and Critical power
worthless on dominating
everything but the most OP broken stuff is
picked up
You didn't get it before?
What is a good PSI monk build? Punching guys into bloody mist sounds hilarious
Not exacly, I didn't commit to a psi-less hammer before since I discovered all it's weaknesses. Since I found how well psychokinesis mashes up with a hammer build, I did nothing but perfecting it.
But now that I know the game, I will start using complementing things, like actively investing chemistry for grenades, investing in throwing, pummel, dirty kick, yell, expose weakness, etc.

Welp.
What a shame.
Who do you think would leave the half melted corpse of her husband in a pool of acid?
I guess you didn't talk to the guy in the hardcore bar either.
Here you go. I made this in two minutes.
So on a scale of 1 to cbt, how hard are the deep caverns? These mushrooms are already quite something.
>Acid using serial killers being angry about other acid using serial killers
They're not so much hard as incredibly confusing. There's no real guidance at all on what to do. I will spoil this part though because there's no way to know you need to do it: You need to max out your stacks of spore debuffs to teleport into another area of the mushroom caves and get an item you NEED to get to Tchort.
Biohazard suit triviales the whole place
>serial killers
What? CAU is just pest control. They don't kill people.
which of the oligarchs should I side with as a light armor dodge/evasion grenade/trap smg build
JKK or Coretech
Which type of googles is best on SMG? Seeker or adaptive? What's the exact value of 1 per? And what does night vision do?
>They don't kill people.
If you're a competent fighter, the only thing the depths is gonna test is you patience.
It's a long ass scavenger hunt filled with respawning eldritch monstrosities
what's the difference between the two?
Adaptive so your bursts do more damage.
>What's the exact value of 1 per?
Not enough for you to care.
>And what does night vision do?
It night visions.
I did so much fucking around the rails I forgot who the fuck this guy is.
Thanks, user!
what
you catch him stealing drugs and in your case evidently chose the options where he gets help for his painkiller addiction instead of a jail cell
Carlitos? Tejano, qué haces en el inframundo eslavo?
JKK's trader is more stealthy and assasin-like, prefers knifes, light weapons and crossbows
Coretech's trader sells high tech stuff and energy guns
is coretech still worth it with 0 electronics or should I go with JKK instead in that case?
It's not optimal but it's pretty fucking vicious. I moddled it after my pure monk.
Does telekenitic proxy and force emission benefit from damage percentage increases?
Que carajos estas haciendo devuelta en el sotano, Carlitos?
You know, for as much as I like the trade system, it would make more sense if traders were more willing to trade for rarer ingredients and gear.
Like, if I offfered a bunch of rare ass mushrooms from the depths to a guy who sells plants, why would they turn up their nose to it?
not off of unarmed I think, just Psychokinetic
Where the fuck is this jellyfish fucker needed for that fucking fishing quest?

If I level up my CON are the hitpoints retroactive? Or is the HP raise only earned from that level forwards?
dumb
Your pistol can kill 7 Goliathus in a single turn? I may need to give energy pistols a go after this run.
Should i give my character 1 or 2 names? will NPCs know when to only use the first name?
so they are retroactive? cool
It's retroactive.
also dumb
>that setup
>cannot miss
>electroshock pistol
>can miss
Excellent.
1.5k electric damage that bounces to up to 4 more targets, yes
the price you gotta pay for not being cave wizard, i guess
one name is fine.
I game mine a full name and pretended everyone spoke like they did in Demolition Man
Why is 3 the lowest a stat can go?
To leave room for debuffs to work.
also to make min maxing harder
Interesting. I thought it was to prevent min-maxing to early
Okay, so there's no living threat to the expedition since anything that was is now or used to be on fire, but supplies are hella low, is there a chance that there's gonna be a mutiny or something or am I good for the foreseeable future?
never seen it, doesthat mean they will always call you by your full name?
What a cool room! I bet I'm going to have lots of fun exploring down here.
How do you get into the abyssal elevator zero? Couldn't find anything that indicates a way inside.
Oh my god man you need to watch it, it's a fucking CLASSIC. Also yes, they always call you by your full name.
Enhance your calm John Spartan, and enjoy this "oldie" filled with 20th century violence
>Full auto feat
>Short Tyranny with forward grip
>Make two of those
>Burst shoots 6 bullets
>Sixth shell feat
>3p tungsten shells
did I see ghost rolling a psi-less hammer? are you going nimble-can or something?
>Pipeworker progression phases
Phase 1 (newfag)
>Oh shit what the fuck was that
Why am i paralyzed, why everything keeps vomiting acid at me
stop shooting at me!
Phase 2 (post restart)
>Ha, good look going on my minmaxed build still gets owned by burrowers and crawlers but at least forces through depot a
And then it branches into 2 variants of Phase 3 (true pipeworker)
Phase 3 (Tincan, most likely burst)
>I AM DEATH INCARNATE
Phase 3 (Psi, magic kenshiro)
>My mind has more knowledge than yours can possibly apprehend
>tfw poison build so have to hunt crawlers to make weapons
You forgot stealthy SMG operator. By far the most fun build
>No mention of hammer memes
>No mention of chem pistol snare
>No mention of commando rambo
He just haven't noticed it
>hammer memes
phase 2 that goes back to phase 1
>commando rambo
isnt that just burst built without metal armor?
Phase 4
>No Psi
>17 int
>Energy Pistols
>Phase 4
>Strapping so much armor and resistanes on yourself that yeeting granades under you feet is viable combat tactic
oh god forbid!
how can we ever let anyone not do what we want?
Final phase (3,600 hrs in UnderRail)
>So of the Dominating builds I've tried...
>Have you ever heard of pure trap build?
you got some nerve, banga
Antithermic coats make this viable with molotovs even if your armour is shit
I need to find exothermic aura eventually so I can embrace my density.
EZRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
A man of culture i see
>go deliver a package
>bunch of bandits rape me
Should I be lazy and buy a nade or just do bunch of SGG quests?
do the caves first and get an SMG
is chem pistol wizard viable?
You know guys, sorry about that thing with depot a
yes but what's the point in raising two killing methods
nah, Im doing crossbow build. Im at catch 3 mole rats part too.
The only thing Ezra should be sorry about is not realizing the experiment succeeded. Just imagine what could have been.
