"Skill ceiling" is a pointless buzzword.
Even the most casual normalfag games (like lol or cod) have a tremendous skill ceiling that goes beyond human abilities - otherwise, everyone would enter their e-"sport" tournaments and collect some east cash.
A "skill ceiling" only applies to solved non-twitchy games - games that anyone can pick up and perfectly master after some time. This applies to checkers, tic-tac-toe and maybe Civ V, but not to any active competitive multiplayer game.

Overwatch. Funny enough, it's designed with an incredibly low skill floor (allusions to rocket jumping, a dangerous, risky, but high-skill movement, but instead sticks to jetpack and over, a safer, slower alternative that is much less interesting), and the skill ceiling can only be so high off the floor. Especially now with the current shield meta, no matter how good you are at landing headshots with hitscan guns or airshotting with explosives, there's only so much that can be done against the immense amount of counterplay that permeates how people approach the game to begin with. Your skill doesn't matter. It's not your game to win, it's entirely on the opposing team to let your skill matter by making mistakes that make them vulnerable. The existence of there being a "correct" way to play a game once mastery over the controls is accomplished greatly reduces the skill ceiling because the same method works on every opponent and you don't need to contest against your opponent's skill, only their strategy.
