The style grew on me. and The QoL changes when it comes to controls alone makes it way better.
No more having to fucking requip the bracelet every time I come across a rock. Sword, shield, and boots are all now bound to a specific button. It's fantastic.

It was said best that these shitty chibi recreations are the epitome of soulless. Links Awakening RE looks similar to Links Awakening DX, but Links Awakening DX's graphics are representing a grander adventure with dangerous monsters using what they could. Making a remake look infantile and inoffensive like the original fails to show what the intent of the graphics was with hardware that is capable of achieving that intent
