From what I've seen, literally only one piece of dialogue was changed in the game.
At one point Erica tries to lecture Vincent on what women feel when you tell them certain things.
In the original, Vincent says "I'd be more convinced if this was a woman telling me this."
In this game, he just scoffs and says "You've gotta be kidding me."
Definitely not as heavy-handed and direct, but I would consider it censorship. As far as I know, everything else is untouched including the female wrestler joke directed at Erica.

The new story content clashes horribly with the old stuff, especially in the first half of the game before you can take the Rin route. The new gameplay content is pretty good, although not worth 60 dollars if you already own the original

Catherine is honestly one of those games that you're better off just watching a cutscene compilation of. The gameplay is terrible and completely disconnected from the story/cutscenes.

I'm sorry user, but it really is like that. SMT has been going well, but as far as original gameplay goes, Catherine has been the only standout this decade. Puzzles are great and have depth to them. Rapunzel is fantastic. Viewers of videogames don't get shit.

How juicy are the remixed versions?

Yes, people need to realise that not all games need to sell a million copies to be a success especially a remake of a niche game such as Catherine.
It seemed to also sell well in South Korea and China.
We still do not know actual sales in NA or Europe.
Something to bear in mind is that the original Catherine sold about 78k on both platforms on its first week of US sales, it would go on to sell 500k in the US.
Considering how it re-used assets from levels and cutscenes as well, it's way too soon to write this off as a failure.

Haven't done most of the Rapunzel stages, but the remixed versions for the story stages were decent enough. Felt a bit easier than the normal version, but that might have more to do with me having played the original a lot before. Still have to try them on hard

They got it going on a Vita, they could just port that version over. On that note, I should actually look at gameplay of it and see how butchered it is, since Atlus never showed promo material of that version to my recollection.

And after a quick look, damn, the game looks pretty much the same as it did on PS3, minus some anti-aliasing. I was expecting the texture quality to get butchered, but it's mostly just some post-process filters turned off.

For the PC version they just upscaled the textures with Waifu2x, they even left that tool in the game's data lmao. Maybe Full Body is the same.

They got it going on Vita because they made the stuff compatible for Vita and PS4 throughout P5's dev time, hence the DAN games and the Catherine port. However, the engine seems to be a clusterfuck and hard to deal with beyond that (remember when they delayed production of P5 to make a PS4 version?). This is probably the reason why P5 and Catherine FB haven't got a port on Switch yet (and not the Switch's capabilities or lack thereof) while stuff by Koei Tecmo is getting a co-release. By the way, before accusing me of portbegging or wishful thinking, I really didn't like P5 or any of the contemporary Persona games at all. I wouldn't buy it again.
