Borderlands 2 seemed to have a lot more hype and conversation around it while this game just feels like it's fading away and will be forgotten very soon.

Borderlands is an evergreen title of the likes of Nintendo. BL2 sold only 8.5 million in the first two years, yet 7 years later it sits at 22+ million sales

At least in the case of 3, it's a pretty fun looter shooter that manages to have a good and steady increase in power in terms of levels and loot. Build variety is pretty good as well now that characters have an action skill per tree. The problem is in the story, writing and Randy's generally awful ability to do PR and the fact that he's a massive scumbag.
I imagine most here don't like it because they don't have a squad of friends to outdrown the story with so they don't buy it and bitch about what they can, which is the story and humour because you don't need to have played the game to shitpost about it.
